Victor woke up at 5 AM after a good night sleep. He had to get ready for a breakfast meeting later, so he wanted to get a head start on the day. Plus today, it was his daughter's birthday. He checked on her as she was fast asleep in her bed smiling. Next to her was her little brother Vick who was awake. Seeing his father, Vick crawled out of bed.

Victor and Vick went to the living area of the Quarters. Vick who was almost four went to the couch as his father fixed him breakfast. "Father. Today is Lara's birthday. Is it not?"

"It is," Victor replied quietly. "She is nine years old. I have a very busy day but we will do our best to show her how special she is."

"With presents and cake?" Vick grinned.

"Yes but other ways as well," Victor says, "Presents and cake can come from replicators but the best kinds come from the heart. What did you do for your last birthday?"

"My grandparents brought me to a park plus Momma showed up," Vick says, "We had a picnic. Momma told me that soon I will be meeting you. She says everything was complicated and as I get older, I would understand."

"So what do you understand now?" Victor asks.

"Momma wanted to become Captain and it could complicate things," Vick sighed.

"Well she suggested I call her at 6:05 AM," Victor smiles. "We should clean up by then." Victor walks over to Vick with a cup of coffee for himself and a glass of juice for Vick. "You know your Momma is seeing my father now."

"Yes," Vick smiled not quiet yet understanding what that means.

The two of them get cleaned up. At about five minutes to 6, Victor peeks in on Lara as she is was laying there awake now. "Happy Birthday sleepy head. Time to get up."

She sits up stretching a bit. "Thank you Dad. Nine now. Just wish time could slow down."

"Me too but time is relative as we get older," Victor says kissing her forehead. "Maybe you will spend more time with your friends this year instead of being glued to your studies. You might regret it some day."

Lara did not reply as she takes in what he means.

"Now I am about to call Aunt Mira," Victor says pleasantly.

Lara gets up out of bed and follows her father to the console in the living room. She sees Vick already dressed up for the day. She thinks to herself her father might have something planned. At exactly 6 AM, the door chimed as it was this reality's version of her mother Tonya showing up.

"Good morning everyone," Tonya says, "Happy Birthday Lara."

Lara exhaled. "Thank you."

Tonya sensed something but decided to not to address it.

"You look marvelous today Tonya," Victor says as he notices her hair was more curled today than usually her straight hairstyle.

"Thank you for noticing," Tonya winked. "Well my sister is waiting."

"That she is," Victor says as he sits in front of the console. "Computer, please contact Captain Mira King of the USS Izar."

A minute later, Captain Mira King showed up on the screen. "Good morning all. Happy Birthday my Mini-Me," Mira says to Lara as this indicated what happen a few months ago when she acquired the memories of the Mira have taken full effect now. "How are you?"

"I am fine Aunt Mira," Lara says with a blush. "Thank you."

"Lara," Mira says to her, "I have a couple of surprises for you. Do you remember Captain Catherine Montoya?"

"I do but she went missing two months before reality changed," Lara answers.

"Well the reason why her ship went missing is because they went back in time farther from when your father was born," Mira narrates the event. "She knew that soon the time line would change, so she returned back to time this year in mid November. Thus causing her crew and herself not from being erased."

Catherine showed up on the screen. "Happy Birthday Miss Lara."

Lara smiled so much her cheeks hurt. "So does this mean your sons Alejandro and Joaquin are with you?"

"That they are," Catherine says as she has both boys show up on the screen.

"Happy birthday Lara," Joaquin says first. "Alejandro and I missed our eleventh birthday last month but alas we are here."

"I am glad you are," Lara says still smiling hard.

Alejandro who Lara had a crush on at one time spoke next, "Happy Birthday Sweetheart. Hope our paths cross again."

Lara almost fainted as she felt very embarrassed. "I wish what I told you mother would be kept a secret. Thank you Alejandro. Where are you all?"

Mira came back up on the screen. "Top Secret which is why this call has to be short. Lara, have a wonderful day and always remember we love you. Vick, you be a good boy today and I love you son."

"I love you too Mommie," the little boy answers.

Transmission was cut off immediately.

"WOW!", Lara says as she felt thrilled. "That is the best news I heard recently."

Victor was blown away what just happened. "I was not expecting that but I am glad."

"So who is this Catherine Montoya," Tonya asks.

"We used to serve years ago," Victor answers, "I wonder if she had my former fencing instructor Commander Antonio Montoya, her husband with her."

"We will find out later," Tonya says, "Now lets have a little birthday celebration before you go to your breakfast meeting"

So the four of them had a quaint birthday party. There were no physical presents, only the kind that means the most which are presents of the presence of the ones who mean the most to Lara.
