After meeting Baeryn Whavi for the first time, who Tayalas fell instantly in love with because of her giving great hugs, Gallia found herself reflecting on all she had lost. It wasn't enough to have lost her rank and her position, she'd get those back no problem, but it was worse to have lost Kara, worse still for Tay to have lost her, and she needed to talk to someone, anyone. That's when a name came to her mind, that she hadn't seen yet, Maddy! Maddy would make it better. Making her way to Maddy's quarters, she rang the chime.

Maddy was in deep meditation when the doorbell rang, had to be a stranger, anyone who knew her knew the door was open, always. She called to the chime, "Enter, and be at peace."

Enter and be at peace? She instantly realized that Maddy hadn't changed a bit, as she entered the door and found Madelaine Masters, PhD, in the lotus position on the floor of her quarters, "Well, see your the same ol' Maddy. Ye get a minute?"

"For you, I have all the minutes." Maddy said, getting up out of her position and making herself some tea, and no doubt some for Gallia, "Where's Taya?"

"She's with Cdr. Taylor and Lt. Voigt." Gallia answered, "They love her."

"I'm sure she does, but I love her too." Maddy protested semi-seriously, "I would like to see her."

"Aye, well, ye will soon enough." Gallia said, accepting the tea when it was ready, "Tha's nice."

"Oh, I know." She smiled, breathing deep the hot tea as it poured freely from Tea Rex, the replica of the pot Estelle Hertz had had, "So nice. So, tell me, what brings you here? Something with Taya i take it?"

"Aye." Gallia nodded slowly, "I know she misses Kara somethin' fierce. But I think it's mebbe time for me to move on."

"Move on from Kara?" Maddy raised an eyebrow, "Well, this IS serious. Okay, so how can I help you with that?"

"Well, nothin' is sure yet, Maddy." Gallia began, "I've got ta see how long it'll take, an' to be honest, I'm no sure I wanna move on from her. I wanna be with her, but more than that I want her to be Tay's mum. No, I need her to be Tay's mum."

"Okay, you say you need her to be Taya's mom." Maddy began, "I would tell you that you don't. I would tell you your more than mother enough for Taya and I think she would tell you the same thing."

"Aye, mebbe she would, but ya gotta know she loves Kara, more than I did." Gallia stopped and corrected herself, realizing she was talking about her fiance in the past tense, "More then I do."

Maddy was going to say something if Gallia hadn't corrected herself, that slip was significant, but she chose not to, "All right, well, let me know if you need anything or when I can see Taya." Maddy offered, though she did want to see Taya badly.

"Aye, good bye, Maddy." Gallia said, kissing Maddy good bye as she stepped into the hallway to go home.

That left Maddy at a loss for words and left her contemplating her future and maybe Gallia's....
