A Bit of Reflection

Olivia was thinking back to her date night with Ensign Napoleon Bond. She had a good time with him and was considering setting up another date with him. It seemed sensible to her to move on with dating others now, since it appeared that Casper was not coming back it would appear and he hadn’t even bothered contacting her since his sudden departure without a word to her or anyone for that matter it seemed. It would appear that the most sensible thing to do was move on with her life when it came to dating others and hopefully find someone that was to her liking for a possible serious relationship.

It was rare for her to go as far as she did the night of her first date with Napoleon, but sometimes one must just go with the flow at times. It was one of those things that she had learned since becoming joined and having access to the memories of the previous hosts for her symbiont. Every once in awhile she would try something herself that one of the previous hosts had done and it would work for her, but other times it didn’t work for her as well as she had hoped it would. Over the years, having the memories helped her in getting by at times with holding her own when interacting with some of the more seasoned Security Officers. They would be surprised that she would know about some of the older weapons and how to either handle some of them or tend to the cleaning of said weapons.

Other times Olivia would draw on the memories from the other host that was well versed in different languages. She knew a few of the basics for some languages, but having access to the memories of the host that was a linguist came in very handy at times. Having access to a little more than some of the basics on other languages when needed has come in very handy at the medical conferences that she has been able to attend over the years since joining Starfleet. A few of the conferences she attended during breaks while at the Academy for extra credit in one of her classes.

There was one thing that she had in common with the previous hosts for her symbiont. That was that she didn’t like having to do the halo jumps from a shuttle when required. She never liked it when having to go through it at the Academy, but she made it through just like the previous hosts for her symbiont. She along with the previous hosts for her symbiont have figured out different ways to getting through doing the jumps, yet it always she always felt better when back on solid ground so to speak, just like they did when having to do them on the rare occasions.

Coming back to the present with her thoughts, Olivia decided to send a message to Napoleon and see if he was available for a possible date in the near future. She wanted to get to know him a little more and see where things would go for the both of them as a possible couple.
