Lt. Victor Barclay de Tolly did not know much of his father Commander Pyotr Zhukov. When he had free time, he was reading up about his father. Several of Pyotr records were classified. One thing for certain was when Starfleet or Department of Temporal Investigations needed someone on a dangerous mission, they recruited Pyotr.

Lara seeing her father sitting in his seat in the living room area asked him, "Dad, what are you reading?"

"Reading up on your grandfather Pyotr," Victor says, "Seems he has had a colorful career. He had be offer a command three times but all three times he had turned it down. One thing my father does not like is paperwork. He rather organize other people's paperwork to do his report as an executive officer."

"I read up on him as well," Lara says as she leans over to see what her father was reading. "You should read up on your uncles and your Aunt Oksana as well. Each one followed a different path. Uncle Yuri is now a commanding officer unlike Grandfather. His post is the Sigma Phi III colony. The planet was the home of a Serpentine species. In the year 2167, about a hundred of the species relocated to another system. In the year 2293, the planet was hit by a comet killing all on the planet. In the year 2384, six descendants relocated back as the planet had been abandoned. They requested to join the Federation. After two years of trying other descendants to relocate back, the Federation decided to set up a colony. Problem is the comet caused only ninety square miles available for Serpentine species. So the Federation started a colony for all kinds of species. Great Uncle Yuri was at first just the Executive Officer of the military who were posted there. Two years ago, he was made the Commanding Officer."

"You sure do read a lot," Victor says smiling. "Your mother Tonya read a lot as well and I am sure the other one as well read a lot. Something tells me you want me to contact him."

"Please father," Lara says batting her sweet eyes.

Victor grinned to one side. "Let me send him an initial request for communication with introduction."

The next day at 0600 hours, the console in the quarters chirped. Victor who was solely waking up, heard it first. He came to it, "Lt. Barclay de Tolly present."

The screen came up with Captain Yuri Zhukov, his wife Commander Kim Zhukov and their three children Mikhail who was fifteen, Melania who was thirteen and the youngest named Michelle who was the same age as Lara.

"Ah," Yuri says smiling, "Your father told me about you a couple of months ago. He always did have a crush on your mother. So this is just a social communication because I could use your Engineering advice on our greenhouse complex later."

"Sure Uncle Yuri," Victor answers. "My daughter Lara is about to come up on the screen as well. We are communicating with you because we would like to get to know my father's side of the family better."

Lara comes to the screen who was a little sleepy eye says, "Hello Uncle Yuri, Aunt Kim, Mikhail, Melania and Michelle. I read about you all but often I find biographies do not do justice."

Michelle spoke first, "Hi Lara. You should come here one day."

"That would be nice," Lara replied. "Melania and Michelle, can we talk at least once a week?"

"Lara," Victor steps in before they answered, "Only when we are allowed to do so."

"Your father is right," Yuri answers.

For the next thirty minutes, everyone became acquainted except Victor's son Vick ego was still sleeping. This also included Victor gathering information about the greenhouse so he could ask Marcellus later what should be done.

After the call was cutoff, Victor patted Lara on the head. "Now you have cousins you can communicate with."

"Maybe tomorrow we can contact Aunt Oksana?" Lara asks.

"We will see," Victor responded by not making any promises.
