Tayalas played happily in the pool while Sana and Wivia watched, she was hoping they would teach her something new soon.
"So, who would like to having a kicking lesson?," Olivia asked. "We can't let Sana have all the fun in the teaching during this session."
"ME, ME!!" Tayalas said, still not in possession of an inside voice.
Olivia laughed a little at seeing how excited Tayalas responded to learning something new. "Alright little one," Olivia said as she reached for ducky and moved him towards Tayalas. "You hold onto ducky as we work our way over towards the wall of the pool. We will start there on learning how to kick while in the pool."
Gary chuckled softly at Tayalas's excitement. He watched as Olivia told Tay what she wanted her to do. He was sure that Tay would quickly learn and become adept at the new exercise.
And Tayalas did just that, listening closely to Wivia and becoming very adept at the new exercise.
Gary leaned against the side of the pool and watched Olivia work with Tayalas and her kicking exercises. He was always amazed at how quickly Tay picked up new routines. The child was exceptionally bright and a joy to be around. He couldn't love her more if she was his own.
"It appears we have a quick learner here on swimming skills so far," Olivia said as she continued to work with Tayalas on her kicking skills. "The next part of the kicking lesson will be to put into use with some of the other skills you have learned. Question is does Sana want to start on that part of the lesson or save it for another time."
Gary pushed away from the side of the pool and moved to Olivia and Tayalas. "Lets go ahead and put Tay's skills to good use." He looked at Tay, "Sweetheart, I want you to swim and kick together and when you get to the wall do the flip like you were shown. Okay?"
"Okay, Sana." Tayalas said, with the thumbs up and a big smile before going to do just what Sana said.
Gary laughed and gave a thumbs up in return as prepared to watch Tay do what he asked with her new swimming abilities.
Olivia softly laughed a little as she watched Tay. "You know that you are one of her favorites," Olivia said. "You and S'hib both get top billing over the rest of us since she has known the two of you the longest."
Gary smiled at the comment. "I didn't know. What I do know is she is very fond of you Doctor and was quite adamant that you be invited to see her swim. I think that speaks volumes for your place in her heart. " He watched Tay swim, "I love her very, very much. As if she were my own."
Tayalas could tell they were talking about her, something she usually didn't like but considering what the subject was she definitely did, and swam up alongside them and put her tiny arms around them both as best she could, "Wub oo both." She reassured them, there was no limit it seemed to her capacity for love.
Gary reached down and pulled Tayalas out of the water and held her close. "We love you too Tayalas very much. You are very special Tay. Never forget how much you are loved." With that he kissed her forehead.
"Okay, Sana." Tayalas smiled, knowing that her Sana did love her and adding, "You neither, Kay?"
"I'll do it darling." Gary said with a smile. "I'll make sure to remember it everyday." Gary finished giving Tay a hug. "I bet Wivia is going to remember how much she is loved as well." He added looking at Olivia and giving her a wink.
"I will always remember this and the fact that I get to have fun with a certain little lady in joining in on her swimming lessons. Also, in getting to help in teaching her how to do a bit of baking," Olivia replied.
"Yummy cookies." Tayalas nodded in memory of them, "I wuv makey make cookies."
"We will get to do another lesson on making cookies soon," Olivia replied. "Will have to arrange that with your mommy. Plus, once we make this next batch of cookies, need to deliver them to special friends."
"Yesh, our speshy fwiends." Tayalas laughed, she had to take her friends cookies after all, they couldn't be without cookies.
Olivia laughed a little. "I have already found some special containers for the cookies to go into for when we make the deliveries," Olivia said. "That way your special friends will remember easily who delivered the cookies to them each time they get one out to enjoy."
"Yay!" Tayalas exclaimed happily, "We make cookies and they wemember us.''
"Everyone is going to remember you, when the cookies get delivered," Olivia replied. "I'll just be your helper in making sure that they get delivered."
"Everyone." Gary continued "Is always going to remember you Tayalas as a good girl, who loves both her Mommies and everyone else."
Tayalas smiled, Sana had just called her a good girl, and he knew all of them, so he would know, that was comforting to her.
"Along with your love of duckies," Olivia replied with a smile. "That is the special containers I got for when we get to do the cookie deliveries. The containers have a ducky on them."
"Make sure you wear your ducky hat as well sweetheart. Just in case someone may not know you love duckies." Gary said winking at Olivia as he did.
Olivia smiled a bit. "Plus, there is the ducky apron that I had gotten for this little lady for her first cookie baking lesson that she can wear when delivering the cookies," Olivia replied.
"And to complete your outfit sweetheart, you need some sunglasses so you can be even more adorable." Gary added with a smile.
"Oooh yeah, mommy get me some sunnies." Tayalas grinned, "I wear them delibering cookies."
"You will be a knockout darling." Gary told the toddler. "Not to mention you will be making people happy with your cookies."
"People need cookies." Tayalas said, it was just a fact, people, especially her people, needed cookies to do their jobs.
"Everyone needs to have you around to not only bring them cookies every so often, but to also bring them some sunshine at the same time," Olivia said. "So what else does Sana have planned for today's lesson for our favorite little blueberry?"
"Yeah, what else we wearn today?" Tayalas asked, "We bwing them sunshine."
Gary smiled at Tayalas as he winked at Olivia. "I wasn't going to do this but Tayalas as done so well in her swimming lessons that I have do." With that he climbed out of the pool and walked to the diving board and got on it. "Now Tay, this is something every swimmer needs to know so watch carefully." He stood on the end of the board and bounced once, twice and on the third bounce ticked his legs up under him in the classic cannonball position and into the pool. The resulting splash was truly amazing. Rising to the surface he moved his arms and legs to tread water as he looked at Tayalas. "How about you give it a try sweetheart?"
"Okay." Tayalas grinned, and began climbing to the diving board.
"You've got this Tay," Olivia said. "Lets see you make a big splash. Can't let Sana have all the fun when it comes to making a splash."
"Your next Doctor to show off your cannonball skills." Gary told Olivia with a smile. "Can't expect Tay to learn without us giving her demonstrations."
"This is true," Olivia replied. "I will help out once Tay takes her first turn."
