Vanessa stepped onto the transporter pad with a PADD in her hand. After President Green's assault on the ship and after conference with the Federation Council. She was beaming down to inform the rather divided Canaanite government of what was going to happen next. "Prepare for transport, Chief." Vanessa stated as formally as ever. As usuall, she was dressed as stately as ever.

As Kyle was one of the Strategic Operations Officers for the Elysium, and on assignment from Starfleet Command Headquarters itself, he felt he should go to the meeting as well, to get first-hand intelligence on just how much of an issue this world could cause for the region. Stepping up onto the transporter pad next to the attractive blonde, he gave her a polite smile and slight nod of the head as he double-checked the power settings on his phaser rifle.

Vanessa gave a light smile to Kyle and then checked her bracelet, which was a phaser in disguise.

Garrett stood silently beside Vanessa as they prepared to beam down to the planet's surface. As this was a diplomatic meeting and Vanessa a diplomat, she would be in the lead during the discussions. He would speak when he felt it was necessary.

Vanessa then spoke. "Energize.." She watched as she and her team was beamed down to their seat of government.

Fully suited in white dress uniforms, the full congress of representatives numbered in the dozens. Each group was separated by differently colored undershirts that showed just beneath their collars. Grey for the administration, red for the judiciary, and blue for the legislature. All of them had green accents throughout the sleeves and collars.

"Greetings... I am Vanessa Alcean an Vantar. I serve as a Consul in the United Federation of Planet's diplomatic service." She said as well-spoken as ever, she folded her arms. "I am here to inform you that President Green has attempted to seize our vessel and murder our crew using force. The first he murdered was our Captain." Vanessa mentioned.

One of the white-colored administration representatives stepped forward, alone. Unlike the others in the circular congressional building, she seemed either curious enough or brave enough to greet the outsiders.

"I," She began, a hand gesturing out and to her side, "am Isle Trisben Naut." Her voice was smooth and mostly neutral, though there was a hint of her northern heritage in the accent. Raised in the Emerald Peaks, her consonants were more emphasized as her vowels were smoothed out, a lineage likely traced back to Earth's United Kingdom. "I'm second-" She stopped, correcting herself, "first-secretary. I apologize, our previous first-secretary to President Green was found dead not long ago."

Isle looked around at the Federation crew. "Today has been..." She looked back at her fellows, all of which were watching with wide eyes. "Let's just say unprecedented." Her straight medium-length platinum hair fell exactly a millimeter short of touching her white-uniformed shoulders as she nodded respectfully toward the Starfleet representatives. "Please forgive us. We're still trying to make sense of all this."

Kyle watched the exchange quietly. Be was still feeling a bit of battle lust, but, he was keeping things in check, not allowing the boiling anger inside to be even hinted on his face. There was a part of him that wanted peace. Thete was also a part of him tbat wanted to wipe out the whole colony. Which one would prevail dependedentire on how well these bastards behaved now.

"Madame First-Secretary. I am here to extend a olive branch before the situation spirals out of control on all sides. The Federation Council is furious." Vanessa mentioned. "Not only was President Green's actions brazen and barbaric, but I cannot even begin to convey how hideouts these wanton acts are." The Diplomat noted. "I'm afraid there will be lasting repercussions for New Canaan moving forward. An attack on our vessel was compounded by the use of eugenic enhancers and genetic weapons." Vanessa poined out. "This has caused an uproar in the Federation Council. Some have called for complete military intervention. Fortunately, thank the ascendants and whatever deity you worship, I and others were able to sway enough more rational heads from a terrible course of action." Vanessa mentioned. "There will be lasting repercussions from this incident, Madame First-Secretary. New Cannan has committed, what the Khitomer Accords qualify as an act of war. The circumstances behind the use of augmented soldiers against the United Federation of Planets makes this offense especially grave. I'm here to deliver conditions for peace... and if they are not met.. The consequences will be equally grave."

Vanessa read the conditions.

"First; New Canaan will dismantle all eugenics programs. Failure to do so will be considered an act of aggression. Second; New Canaan will dismantle its military. Failure to do so will be considered an act of aggression. Third. Naw Cannan will be quarantined from all interstellar trade. Starfleet will maintain a two light-year exclusion zone around this star system. Third; New Canaan's Colonia Charter is now null and void. Your world has been placed under the Prime Directive that will ensure non-interfearance until we deem it appropriate to make contact. Finally; The New Canaanites we were treating have born witness to horrors that, for all intents and purposes, were treacherous and barbaric to them. They are not willing to come back after this, First Secretary. It seems your government is very disconnected from its own people. Starfleet Command is not willing to send people back to this world to die." Vanessa noted.

"You would dictate terms. You're demanding out surrender to you." One of the politicians noted.

"I am dictating terms for peace. If you want, I can return to the Federation Council and inform them the accord here has failed. Then Starfleet will return at war with New Canaan. Under normal circumstances.. this incident would not be of any concern to us. Your people remember the tyranny of Khan? The Federation remembers as well. We will not allow an army of augments to exist on our borders. The Federation Council has made its decision. Keep your augmented military, and fight a war you cannot win, or disband it and be left alone. To put things into perspective, you will be fighting a United Federation of nearly two hundred worlds against one planet"

"Put aside the war-talk Samuel." One of the New Cannanite representatives noted. "You saw them appear out of nowhere. If they wanted to, their troops could appear out of nowhere in all of our military installations. We have to swallow this pill. President Green put us into a serious diplomatic incident."

Lovejoy spoke. " I am Commander Garrett Lovejoy, acting captain of the USS Elysium. You." His gaze taking in all members of the council "Are all accountable to what President Green and his super soldiers tried to do. President Green killed Captain Carrington, savagely and violently. I saw this with my own eyes. Other members of the crew were also killed or seriously injured. You and your people, your world will pay the price for his treachery. I hope for your own sakes you learn from this and chose another path to follow."

Vanessa spoke. "Do we want James' Green to lead us to war again?"

"Green was the perpetrator but you are all his accomplices. You could have taken steps to stop him. yet you sat idlily by and allowed this to happen. Blood is on your hands as well." Garrett informed them.

Vanessa nodded. "An unprovoked attack during a diplomatic luncheon. Under a flag of peace!!!" The Envoy noted. "Wanton slaughter of our crew and Federation Citizens onboard the USS Elysium. And murder of the most heinous caliber. One of your soldiers even used one of our crewmembers as a battering ram." Vanessa mentioned. "We should already be at war with you, if we didn't view such a war as another pointless skirmish on a backwards world."

"Though, it really wouldn't be much of a war. More of a training execise."Garrett pointed out. "I would say inside thirty minutes you would be suing for peace."

Kyle watched the proceedings silently. He was here more as added muscle, which his bulk and gaze delivered brilliantly. He held no ill-will to the innocent citizens here. However, those that were responsible, the politicians, warmongering members of the military and the medical personnel responsible for the eugenics programs, they he felt zero remorse for.

One of the politicians spoke. "Then we have no choice. We must accept."

Another of the opposition spoke. "You're signing a pact with these things?"

"They've promised to leave us alone, Anton." One of them noted. "We both get what we want... The Aliens gone... This will be a boon for us. We accept this arrangement. Provided you and these Outkasts are gone."

Vanessa responded. "Very well then." She presented a paper copy of the aggreement for them to sign. As well as one on a PADD>

Garrett watched as Vanessa presented a copy of the agreement to be signed. The sooner their business was done, the sooner they could get back to the Elysium. This place him feel dirty.

Vanessa took her copies of the Treaty of New Canaan and stood near the captain to beam up to the ship.

Kyle followed close behind her, keeping his eyes on the politicians arrayed out before them.

"Elysium. Beam us up. I hope the next time our cultures meet, if there is a next time, you've grown and matured and moved past this current stage you are in. No good will come of it." Garrett informed the politicians.

They were beamed up, leaving the Politian's behind.
