Celebrating a promotion

Jaeih found Wynter among the crowd after she managed to escape the group on stage.

She didn't say anything as she slipped to his side. "Hey again." She said softly as she linked her fingers in his easily.

Winter smiled and squeezed her hand gently. "Congrats Commander."

"It is a surprise" She murmmered. "So.. dread pirate roberts, are you interested in staying here? Or can we go somewhere else?"

" Well my dear wood nymph where would you like to go if we leave? he replied with a soft smile.

She leaned into his side. "As to that, I am not sure, but I believe you will be able to find a nice quiet place for a private celebration, or am I over estimating your skills?"

Wynter chuckled. "There are a number of places we can go. It just depends on where you want to."

"Hmm some place private and secluded where no one can find us?" Jaeih said softly in his ear.

He smiled at that "Did you want a view or just someplace private?"

Jaeih considered it. "A view sounds nice"

Wynter thought for a moment. " well commander there is a place on deck sixteen."

Smiling Jaeih nodded "Lead on Kind Sir."

He smiled and offered his arm. "Of course my lady." They headed to a turbolift, and a few minutes later were inan empty concert hall on Deck 16. "What do you think?"

She looked around it. There were wide windows off to one side of the stage area and many different levels for them to wander or otherwise have quiet 'conversations' in.

Jaeih smiled "Looks perfect." she said

Wynter smiled. "Any place you would like to check out first?"

Jaeih smiled and looked up one of the upper balconies. "How about up there?"

"As you wish my dear." He said as he took her hand and led her towards the balconies.

Jaeih followed with a small smile on her face. "So nice to have time alone." she mused.

Wynter turned and smiled. "It is isn't it. " he said leaning in to kiss her.

Jaeih went easily into his arms as their lips met. Their relationship was very different from any other she may have experienced in the past. The link, between them, made it easy for them to feel each other, something she was learning more about.

Together they found a place to look out at the stars as they made out in the darkness.

The following morning Wynter awoke slowly to a regularly welcomed weight across his chest. He smiled to himself as he thought about something he needed to ask Jaeih.

Jaeih shifted slightly. "Hmm, morning Wynter" she muttered. They were still in the concert hall.

He smiled softly. "Morning beautiful." he whispered. There was no great way to ask this. " As great as waking up next to you here in the concert hall is. I was wondering if well you wanted to do this one more permanent and more comfortable way?"

She raised her head and looked at him. "Are you asking me to move in with you?"


Wynter nodded smiling. " Yes we spend most nights together anyway, so why are we doing so in multiple places."

She smiled back. "An interesting idea. I'd like to share quarters with you."

He smiled "So that's a yes?" he replied leaning in to kiss her again.

"Hmm its a yes" she kissed him back. "So who's cabin do we use?"

"I have senior staff quarters, so we would have a bit more room, but who knows what you will get as an upgrade Commander."

"Yours is going to be bigger regardless." she said as she slowly sat up to gather her clothes.

Wynter stretched once Jaeih sat up. "Alright so my quarters. When do you want to move?" he asked grabbing his clothes.

"Hmm I will organize it with the Quartermaster, say end of the week?" She pulled on her underwear and began to put her costume, back on.

He pulled on his clothes and costume. " So officially the end of the week, but bring enough clothes for the week tonight? we could get used to this."

She finished dressing and smiled at him. "I am already used to sleeping with you."

"No kidding, you know what I mean Jaeih. We know what it is to get ready for our shifts together, just the idea of coming home to each other like this is new, well newish."

"At least i know you can cook." She ran her hands through her hair. "I will make sure I bring enough clothing."

Wynter chuckled. "A necessary skill, and I know how appreciative you are."

Jaeih kissed his cheek. "See you tonight." She called as she headed to her quarters to get ready for the day.
