Mission: MISSION 0 - History Speaks
Location: Former Romulan Space
1115 words - 2.2 OF Standard Post Measure

Imperial Guard Admiral Arrianna Salannis an Vantar watched as a small fleet of Alindari Ships defeated the last Remnants of the Romulan Military. She walked around the bridge as a heavy sense of resignation held for her people. They did not want to do this, but the Romulans insisted on fighting a war with them, and when all they wanted was to build a new homeworld.

It enraged her people. Enfuriated her people. Was peace so elusive? Was it so unrealistic? Was every race the encountered selfish and cruel. These last ten years were pure struggle for the Alindari.. But ten years made the Alindari strong again. Ten years of fighting and growing. There was now more Alindari now on their new colony, but it cost them their souls. Arrianna was one of the original members of the refugee fleet. The rest of these new Alindari were engineered from the gene banks.

They did not know their legacy, their past... Their courage.. It was a fleeting memory now. They had no chance to inherit the memories of their ancestors. Nor did they have a chance to be Alindari. The survivors taught the newborn the best they could.. But scattered memories could not reinvigorate their people.

They had to fight.. They had to struggle.. They had to endure.

Arrianna sighed as she walked towards tactical and spoke. "Target the first cities... And fire."

The fleet took up position and began unleashing polaron warheads on Romulus and Remus. Hours upon hours. Warhead detonations erupted on the Romulan homeworld. Arrianna was sick, this was not the way... This was not the way of Tirielle. But she could overcome it... She could do what had to be done.. And this had to be done. The Romulans were not peaceful.

There would be a second imperium now and it will be safe.

"Lady Admiral... An Unknown Fleet is approaching." Arrianna turned towards her tactical officer. "Redeploy the second imperial guard." She walked to her chair and sat down.

She noticed as a Federation Fleet emerged from warp.

"Lady Admiral. They are hailing us."

She watched as a Federation Admiral appeared. "This is Admiral Paris... We are requesting a cease fire on behalf of the Romulan Senate. This war will serve no futher purpose. Please.. Let there be peace between Alindari and Romulan."

Arrianna looked at her coms officer. "Open the hail."

"On behalf of the Romulan Senate, you say. There is no Romulan Star Empire. I would like to inform you there is no Romulan Star Empire, so it is irrational to assume there is a Romulan Senate of the aforementioned." Arrianna noted. "As long as these... Things exist, they will inevitably seek our destruction." She mentioned. I am sorry Admiral. The saftey and security of the Alindari Imperium requires the eradication of the Star Empire."

"This is Genocide, Admiral." Paris protested.

"This is Justice. They massacred two-thirds of the refugee fleet before their ships were defeated. We spent the last ten years trying to piece of people back together. Then we realized we were truly alone. With outsiders trying to eliminate us!!! There is no greater universal creed and maxim than survival. We will survive... There will be peace." Arrianna stated. "Once we are finished purging the rest ot the Romulan worlds. They will be gifted to our children so we can rebuild our imperium, and we will brook no threat to our tranquility!!"

"Please, don't go down this path, Admiral." Paris noted.

"This path has already been treaded." Arrianna responded. "If only you knew us before we were forced into this end." The Admiral noted. "The Romulan Senate, and whatever pitiful and wretched refugees that have flowed into Federation Space may have their menial and meaningless lives. They'll know their empire was pacified, and they will not forget it." She noted. "We will have the room we need to finally rebuild our people. And your Federation will mind its prime directive and not interfear, or we will pacify you as well. So Admiral. Do you want to fight a war with us today? We will make peace with you." Arrianna mentioned.

"And your Federation always seeks peace." Arrianna concluded. "I'm willing to cease the bombardment and allow these pathetic survivors to leave.. and never return.. Their pitiful species will still die. The second Alindari Imperium will thrive... And we will have peace... We will have peace at all costs."

"Monster!" Paris noted. "But we agree.. We will end the hostilities.. Provided you keep your word and allow the Romulan Survivros to leave their former territories."

Admiral Arrianna Salannis an Vantar nodded. "One more thing, Admiral. Do not send anymore ships nor fleets to contact us.. We have no further use for outsiders. They will not be Alindari... And they will be destroyed instantly if they venture into our space. We want our solitude and peace... And we will have it." She noted and closed the transmission.

"What do we do now, Admiral?" One of her crewmembers noted.

Arrianna paced on the bridge of her flagship. "We have no use for outsiders.. As a people, we need to heal. We've fallen back into the ways of the Warlords." She noted. "My Children. We must spend this isolation for two thousand years to embrace what we once were. And we cannot learn who we were with these meddlers around us. We are Alindari... They are not."

"Yes Lady Admiral." Her subordinate noted. "You've ensure our survival."

Arrianna nodded. "We'll settle their former worlds. And we will block all the outsider's transmissions. We will have peace as one people, one race, one destiny. We will learn to be Tirielle's Children once again. We have blood on our hands... So did the first Empress. But we need no meddlers in our tranquility."

"We are the Alindari... They are not." Her crew responded back.

"They will hate us,, my sons and daughters." Arrianna confirmed.

"Let them hate us.. We don't care.." One of her crew noted. "We will outlast them anyway. They are barely civilized anyway."

"And so it will be. This is the first day of Empress Arrianna I Salannis." Arrianna noted. "It is time to purify the blood that is on our hands. And to allow no outsiders amongst us.."

End

Narriator: All it took in our universe, was the Federation standing up for a broken people. To lead them to their true destiny. Now the Alindari dies slowly in their isolation. Branded as genocidal tyrants, but truly misunderstood... Never forget that war never changes. In the end there was peace, in a century the Alindari reverted to their old treacheries until the Federation had to fight them and deny them.
