Victor was having a nice meal with Tonya.

They had just finished eating when Louis walked in alone with a grin. “Lieutenants, task completed. Upgrades are done.”

“Excellent,” Victor said as he stood up. “I promised Tonya a stroll but if you need to talk about anything, we can hold off.”

“No sir,” Louis said, “Enjoy your stroll.”

“We shall,” Tonya nodded.

After they left, Louis went to the cook to get an authentic meal. He heard a very familiar voice behind him.

“Of all the Starships I have to be assigned,” Lorelei paused, “I had to be assigned to the one you are on.”

Louis turned around before grabbing his tray. “Oh my. Lorelei. When were you assigned.”

“Came on yesterday,” Lorelei replied rolling her eyes. “We are not going to make our stay here awkward.”

“Not if we let it,” Louis says as he grabs a tray of food. “We are adults here.”

Lorelei clinched her fist a bit but then released it. “That is what you told me after graduation. You took my virginity as you played me good. Asked around and you played three others.” She grabs her tray breathing a bit. “But I did consent because I thought it was love.”

“Come sit with me,” Louis says, “We need to talk.”

“Very well,” Lorelei answers following him to a table in a far corner.

Louis waits for Lorelei to sit first. He followed. Louis started the conversation which started kind of clumsy at first. “Lorelei. I have changed since you saw me last.”

“Men like you do not change,” Lorelei hissed. “You are a great lover but you use your God given talent waisting it on seducing virgins.”

“True but I stopped,” Louis says as he touches her hand.

Lorelei looked at him in square in the eye, “You better remove that hand or you will find yourself in sick bay and myself in the brig.”

He removed it as he felt remorse. “I am sorry.” Louis ate in silence as he thought about his vices. After he finished the meal, he left the table with only saying have a good day.

Lorelei thought back to that trip to Malibu beach after graduation. She shook her head because she let her Siren hormones get the better of her back then. “Damn!”

Lorelei went for a stroll by herself. Contemplating what she should next, she found a couch near a lookout window. Lorelei saw her boss Victor walking with Tonya with Tonya’s arm tucked in with Victor’s arm. She felt envious because that is what she wanted. Lorelei joined Starfleet to get away from her planet and the lifestyle many led only to be played after four years at the Academy.

An hour went by until Louis walked by. Louis ask to sit as he showed how remorseful he felt. His long speech did not excuse his actions but in the way he talked, it was quiet evident he felt sorry.

“For what it is worth,” Lorelei says shaking her head a bit as felt she might have regret. “I can not tell you which one, but one of the ones you seduced in California, you got her pregnant. Don’t ask me who. You should live with that for the rest of your life. So be a gentleman from now on including do not ask.”

Louis face palmed himself as his greatest fear happened. “Agreed.”

The two continue to talk, so they could put the past behind them.
