Picking A Team

After talking to Anje and Phoenix, Gary headed to his office. He needed to talk to Lia and get a team together to rescue the kidnapped Liorga and there wasn't a minute to waste. Entering his office, he sat down and tapped his combadge, -^= Taylor to Holmes. Come to my office. We have a situation on the planet that needs to be taken care of immediately =^=.

In the brig Lia heard Gary's call, =^="Holmes here, I have a situation to solve right now. As soon as it is resolved, I'll be there ok?"=^=.

Gary's voice came back through the com, it was brisk no nonsense and to the point. =^= Understood Lia. I'll be waiting.=^=

The tone of Gary's voice made her stop, =^="Is there a problem Commander? You sound concerned?"=^=

Gary sighed mentally before replying, =^= Yes there is and I am," He answered bluntly. "When your done with your situation please report to my office straight away.=^=

Lia could tell Gary wasn't in the mood to talk over the comms, =^="Roger that, as soon as I can get away I'll report to your office"=^=. She looked up as Turak entered her office, "Lieutenant, can I do something for you?"

“Commander, the prisoner is ready to help us recover our personnel. She mentioned that this Quin, who is holding them, is well armed with many men and something about a cannon that would knock a ship out of the air. However, there appears to be a back way in by way of a stream.”

Nodding her head, Lia stood up. "Contact Commander Brett, and work with her. I've got to go see the XO, so get a team together and place them and yourself under Brett's control until further notice. And take your informant with you, the Commander might be able to use her further". She now left and headed for Gary's office, =^="Holmes to Taylor, on my way to you"=^=.

Gary's reply was swift and short. =^= I'll be waiting.=^=

Arriving at Gary's door, she rang the bell. *Hope he's gonna be a bit happier now I'm here, I don't fancy an arguement* she thought.

Gary's voice sounded from inside the office, "Enter." He commanded. He was seated behind his desk with a stack of PaDDs in front of him.

She saw him behind his desk, and pointed to the PaDDs on it. "You collecting these now?" She then sat down opposit him and waited for him to tell her what was happening, although she had a good idea already.

A brief glimmer of a smile played across his face. "Yes, I am. So keep your hands off." He bantered back. Once Lia was seated he didn't waste time. "I take it you are aware of the ongoing situation on the planet's surface?"

"If your talking about our kidnapped crew members, then yes. I've got one of the offenders in the brig right now, Commander Brett sent her to us. Lieutenant Turak seemed to click with her, so I let him handle it". She took a breath and carried on, "I gave him orders to get a team together and report to Brett, with Queenie in tow. I take it you have something in mind also?"

"That's exactly what I'm talking about." He answered. "Keep your team on hold. There's a team on the planet surface we can use. Neeze and De La Rosa are already on the ground. Along with Brett, Norris and Savar if we need him. We'll get Lt. Vaii to fly CAP and I'll be beaming down to speak with Brett and the others. You can beam down with your prisoner and Turak after me."

Lia shook her head, "We may already be to late with that, I left Turak getting things together as I left. Knowing that Vulcan, he's probably already on his way. We might have to rethink our options".

Gary nodded at Lia's statement. "I'd rather use the people on the ground Lia. Not that you and Turak shouldn't be there but others? Their not aware of what is going on."

"Ok just wait a minuet". Lia attenpted to contact Turak, =^="Holmes to Turak, hold you team for now. The XO has a plan, wait out"=^=. "Right that's all I can do, until he contacts me".

Gary nodded as Lia contacted Turak, "Thank you." He paused, mulling something over in his head, "Didn't you say something about a back way in? A stream? We could use that way to get in and set up a fake assault on the front of wherever their holding Liogra. Of course I'll know more once I'm on the ground and Savar can do his mindmeld magic."

=^="Understood Commander. Does Commander Brett already know or should I contact her?"=^=

*Vulcan logic*, thought Lia. =^="Let Commander Brett know, and I will inform the XO that I've stopped you leaving the ship. Holmes out"=^=. She looked at Gary, "He's now on standby, but Commander Brett is going to want her prisoner".

"Undoubtedly you are correct Lia. Bring her with you when you beam down. Now do you think we need Lt. Vaii to fly CAP for us?"

"I'll leave that in your hands", she turned to leave. "Guess you'll be heading down to the planet now, so I'll get Turak and Queenie ready to join Bretts away team. The sooner we get this show on the road the better".

"I'll give it some more thought. I'll see how the situation is on the ground and yes I'll be transporting down as soon as we finish here." He looked at her, "I want this over and done with our people back safe and sound."

Holmes now headed back to Turak, between them they had to get Queenie ready for her return to the planet.
