Victor was in his office going through the reports. He was glad members of his staff were taking shoreleave. He was working with a skeleton crew on the ship. He hears a slight sound as he glances up from his console to see the young engineer Ensign Lorelei Lee, the one who was a a Siren standing at the entrance of his office.

“Lt. Barclay de Tolly,” Lorelei says at the door, “May I come in?”

Victor smiled saying as he stood up politely, “Yes Ensign, please come in.”

Lorelei came in as she salutes her superior as she waited for the return salute. “May I have seat?”

“By all means,” Victor replied. After she sis down, he did as well. “How may I help you?”

“Sir,” she said as she felt her breath caught in her gills, “Louis and I have been seeing each other and before we take it any further, I want to make sure we have your blessing. Normally he should ask first but I felt why waist time.”

“As long as it does not interfere with your work,” Victor replied fatherly, “I see no issue. I will make sure you two work separately.”

“Thank you Sir,” Lorelei says crossing her legs a bit.

Victor presses his communication badge lightly. “Ensign Bordeaux, please report to my office.”

Louis who was near the warp core answers, “Yes Sir.”

Victor looks at Lorelei as he reassures her worries, “Just a formality.”

“I understand Sir,” Lorelei says as she did feel a little nervous.

Louis walks in as he sees the two of them. “Lieutenant. How May I help you?”

“Ensign,” Victor says as he stood up, “Ensign Lee has asked me for my blessing that you two can date. I do understand you two dated a long time ago. You both have my permission.”

“Thank you Sir,” Louis replied with an eyebrow going up, “How did you know we dated a long time ago?”

“Tonya told me the other day,” Victor answered, “If you recall, when the two of you were in Hawaii, Tonya was there with her sister. She does remember seeing the two of you together.”

Lorelei facepalms herself. “That is where I saw her before. She looks so different now”

Victor blushed a bit. “When Tonya is on vacation, she lets her hair down as well as making a few other changes. She only remembers meeting you two because of your green hair as it is very rare of seeing ones with green hair like yours.”

“Of course,” Lorelei answers. “If there were more Sirens in Starfleet, you would be seeing more of us with green hair.”

“So you two go have fun,” Victor says as he was still standing up, “Why waist the precious time you have. Louis, I will assign one of th3 other engineers to the task you are doing on the warp core.”

“Actually sir,” Louis replies quickly, “I am finished waiting your inspection.”

“Splendid,” Victor says as he decided to leave his office. “You two go have fun.”

Before either could say anything, Victor had left. Both decided to go to Starbase One for some well deserve time off.
