Come the night of the party, Rin waited for Gary in an antechamber to the main hall. She was not, in fact, in a green catsuit, but actually got about what she asked for: a Klingon inspired gown in shades of blue, with a corsetted bodice and a skirt that draped rather than poofed. Sleeves hung off her shoulders, and a heavy tiara perched on her head. Her short hair was pinned up best it could be, giving her face a softer look than normal.

Gary came around the corner and stopped in his tracks as he saw Rin. "Wow. Oh wow. I like this look. He said honestly. He was dressed in a silk shirt of a light blue with frills at the sleeves and a darker blue vest. He had on black breeches and long black boots and shone in the light. A sword hung at his waist. He walked closer to her. "Your mom picked this out?" He questioned.

"No, this is the dress I picked out. I kind of like it. Shall we?" She asked, gesturing toward the door.

"You did a good job." Gary said approvingly. He extended his hand to her. "Have to make this look good and yes we shall."

Rin took his hand and let him escort her into the hall. As the doors opened, the din of the crowd quieted as all eyes turned toward the couple. The audience included all manner of sentient species, most of them dressed like they were attending a Renaissance Faire - a Klingon in hose and pantaloons was not an easy sight to behold.

Mom and Dad stepped forward from the assembled guests. The Queen was looking even more Glinda the Good Witchy in a lighter colored dress, while Khan was basically wearing the same outfit as previous, just in brocade and velvet.

"We are so glad you could all join us to celebrate the marriage of our daughter, Princess Rin, to Sir Gary of Taylors," gushes the Queen, laying a hand on each of their shoulders. Gary could feel Rin's hand clench at the touch, although she was smiling prettily like expected.

As Rin and Gary entered the audience quieted and the Ferengi in a jester's outfit stopped his juggling so they could hear the Queen speak. As she finished Khan stepped up. "This indeed a momentous reason to celebrate. The Queen and I are not losing a daughter but gaining a son and hopefully lots of grandchildren we can spoil." Gary tried not to wince as Rin's nails dug into his palm. "Now eat, drink and be merry!" He commanded.

"She's the reason I can't have kids," Rin muttered. "Please dance with me so I can stop fake smiling at fake people."

"Say no more." Gary said softly as he brought Rin close and they began to dance, glide across the floor, their bodies moving in perfect synch to each other. Their eyes on each other so as Rin said they didn't need to smile at fake people.

"Thank you." And for a couple of minutes, they had a break from the crazy of the last several hours. But then the music died down and, worse, people began to tap their glassware, hoping for the couple to kiss.

Gary looked around saw Khan imploring him to kiss Rin, Saw the Queen smirking with delight, saw the guests all loud tapping their glassware. Then he looked at Rin, "Guess we should give the people what they ask for." Turned his head slightly so only Rin would see and winked at her, then suddenly brought her close and their lips touched lightly but from a distance it looked like they had latched onto each other, which brought hoots and hollers from the guests.'
Then the 'kiss' broke and the audience hollered some more.

"That was well played," she murmured with a smile. "I thought I was going to have to make apologies to your wife."

"Thanks." Gary whispered, "I have my moments." He said with a grin. "I wonder what comes next.''

"Excuse me, Your Highness, if you could spare me a few moments of your time so I might congratulate you on your upcoming marriage."

Rin turned to find two figures standing a few feet behind her. The first, the one speaking, was a handsome although exaggeratedly built man, dressed in black and gold. The second was, well, an orc, looming over his friend. At once, the orc swept Rin up and threw her over his shoulders.

"I think this is where you rescue me," says Rin. "I have no idea how to nerve strike an orc."

The man drew his sword, which burst into flames. "Indeed, Sir Gary. Her parents promised her to me. Now you wish to take what is mine?"

"This program is sexist as fuck," Rin commented.

Gary looked as the Orc scooped Rin up heard her comment which would have caused him to laugh but right now he had other things on his mind, like the guy with the flaming sword.

"Sorry dude, the princess is my lady." Gary replied as he looked around, saw a bucket of water used for watering plants, put out fires, hell he didn't know. He grabbed the bucket, turned and threw it on the sword and the guy. Which resulted to two things. The flames died and the guy started to shrink, well melt. all the time screaming, "I'm melting! I'm melting." and he did into a neat little puddle. Gary now turned toward the orc, "Your next ugly."

"I was going to let her go, but now you've hurt my feelings," it growled, drawing a large axe from it's belt.

"Um, would it help if I said I'm sorry? If it does then I'm sorry, Now let the princess go."

"Too late!" And the orc swung its axe at Gary.

Gary dodged the axe, the orc was big but not very fast. "Look I'm sorry but it's not my fault you look like a pickle."

The orc roared and charged forward, axe swinging again.

Gary dodged the axe again easily when he remembered he had a sword! Pulling it out of its scabbard he faced the orc. "Surrender or prepare to meet your doom!" He stated with great theatrics.

The orc roughly tossed Rin to the side and pulled out a second axe with a flourish. "We shall see, little man!"

Gary's eyes went to Rin as the orc tossed her aside, "Hey, that's the princess, not a sack of potatoes! Be careful with her!"

"Princess is fine," Rin reported from where she landed in a heap.

Swinging both axes, the orc came at Gary again.

Gary nodded and looked back at the orc, he raised his sword and thrust it forward and deeply into the chest of the orc who fell back. as blood gurgled from his lips as he died.

Going to Rin, Gary helped her up. "Are you sure you are fine?"

"Damsel in a dress, not in distress," she assured him.

Khan ran over to Rin, fussing over his only daughter.

The Queen, meanwhile, has thrown her arms around Gary. "Thank you for saving her!"

"Um, your welcome Mom. I love her." Gary replied as he looked to Rin who was being fussed over by Khan as he repeatedly asked was she alright.

"We admit, we had our doubts," said the Queen. "But you have proved yourself worthy. Welcome to the family."

And with that, the program ended, the scene disolved, and the two found themselves in the powered down holosuite.

Rin, having changed out of her original clothes into a holographic dress, now stood completely naked. She just sort of looked at herself, looked back at Gary, shrugged, and looked around for her clothes. Finding them neatly folded in a corner of the room, she pulled them back on in no particular hurry.

Gary couldn't believe the program was over as he looked around the bare walls of the holosuite and speaking of bare, Rin was completely naked and Gary being the gentleman he was averted his eyes but not before getting an eye full. "Is it over? For real?"

"I sure hope so. And you can stop covering your eyes." She smirked. "My hero."

Gary chuckled and looked at the now clothed Rin. "Good. Let's get out of here just in case it decides to restart. Come along princess."
