Gary had reached a decision on the Arizona. he had listened others opinions and advice, Weighed the pros and cons both personally and professionally and had come to a decision. Now it was time to share that decision with the one person who meant who to him than anyone else.....Lia. He headed to their quarters. He would tell Lia first and then tell Phoenix.

He arrived at their quarters and entered, he had beat Lia home. So he had time to think of a dinner and he decided on tempura shrimp with rice and some cheddar and chive biscuits. As he prepared dinner, he addressed the computer, "Computer, play This Magic Moment by the Drifters and begin playing when Lia enters our quarters."

The music caught Lia on the hop, "Ok, and do what do I owe this pleasure?" She continued across the room glancing into the small kitchen they had created, there stood Gary cooking. "And I'm guessing we have news." Entering the bedroom, she quickly changed and re-emerged in a Yukata and tabi socks. "My feet are cold, before you ask." Lia stated as Gary looked her over.

As Lia entered the song began.

Kissing Gary, Lia now went and prepared the table, chopsticks for her and normal fighting irons for Gary. Try as he might, those pesky chopsticks always beat him. "Do we have good news or bad news?" She asked.

Returning Lia's kiss, Gary gave her a cryptic smile. "Now Lia, you know nothing in and of itself is good or bad but only how we perceive it. However, let's get dinner on the table and I will tell you, my decision."

"Ok Aristotle, now answer the question. Good news or bad news?" Lia went and collected the Sake, "I've got the drink, now just what are we doing with it? Is this a happy time or am I going to need a tissue?"

Gary was silent, he was milking this for all it was worth. "I'll take a glass of Sake. You know, I've come to develop a taste of it." He commented, knowing he was purposely avoiding answering the question. He wanted to see how long Lia was going to allow this silliness to continue.

Reaching over the table she now picked up her Katana, "This is a very sharp instrument, if you continue on this course you will find out just how sharp. Are you receiving me Captain?" Lia held the Katana in its sheath, a devilish grin on her face. She knew what Gary was doing, and now waited to see just what he'd do next.

"Are you threatening me Commander?" He bantered, "While I like a spirited woman, I don't response well to threats." He teased. "However if you were to as come over here and give me a kiss, I might be persuaded to divulge my answer." His eyes glinting with merriment.

As Gary waited for Lia's reply. He spoke to the computer. "Computer play Hold Me by Teddy Pendergrass and Whitney Houston." A moment later the soulful song filled their quarters.

"Captain, are you attempting to blackmail a female member of staff to commit a sexual act to gain information from you?" Lia sat back in mock embarrassment, her hands across her chest. "I am a senior member of staff and a married woman; how dare you presume such a thing." Her smile and her eye's gleamed with fun and mock shock, just how would Gary respond? She listened to the song as she waited, swaying as she listened.

Gary responded with mock shock of his own. "Blackmail is such an ugly word and I would never blackmail you, Commander. I prefer the word persuade you. A happily married woman I hear if one can believe the rumors." He added as a smile of his own bloomed on his face. "I could make it worth your while however if you do not wish to know. I'll just get back to my meal and you'll find out in due time." He grinned at her.

Lia leaned forward slightly, "Then I suggest you begin your persuading, and yes I'm very happily married. As for knowing your decision, that as they say is in your hands. But there are many ways a woman can have her revenge, and my husband has taught me one or two extra ways." She leaned back and picked up her chopsticks, "I think I'll join you in getting back to my meal." This action was bound to bug Gary, she could see he really wanted to tell her but their game had to be played out."

Gary sighed dramatically. "Have it your way Commander. Instead of being first to know, you will among the last to know." He paused as he reached for his fighting irons, "Oh, you wanted me to persuade you." With that, he leaned over and whispered in her ear. "I love you so very much. I am thrilled you are here by my side in our journey together." He ended by kissing her softly on her full lips.

Responding to Gary's kiss, Lia closed her eyes. As he pulled away, she opened her eyes and replied. "Then tell me if we're staying or going, or so help me I'll belt you into the middle of next week darling."

Gary grinned at her, "I believe you would too. So to save myself from bodily harm, I am pleased to tell you that ....." He drug it out. "We are staying here, with our family, our home."

Lia glanced at her husband, "Well I have two responses to that, 1 are you sure that's the correct decision? 2 I'm glad to hear that we're staying, that means Sthilg can continue to help me."

"Thought about it long and hard Lia and yes I am sure about this. It pleases me that you are happy we are staying. In addition, I'm thrilled that Sthilg can continue to help you."

Moving around the table, Lia now kissed her husband passionately. "I know this hasn't been easy, but if you're sure then I'm sure. And if you need me, then I'm here for you always."

Gary returned the kiss with equal passion. "That was the one thing I was always sure of Lia. That you would be here for me and that made my thought process easier."

"Lets just forget eating, I think I know of a better way of celebrating. That's if you don't mind clearing this food away, or we could finish here first?" Lia sat upright and waited for Gary to choose, *After his last choice, this is so simple* she thought.

Gary took her hand in his, "Leave the food. let's go celebrate. We have lots to celebrate"

As she stood up, Lia began to giggle. "You know we should change our names, to Buck and Bunny. We're at it as much as rabbits, we should be experts by now." Lia moved her hand to Gary's waist, "Lead on Captain, let's go celebrate."

Holding onto her hand Gary smiled, "Buck and Bunny? That is cute but I prefer Gary and Lia. Proves we love each other and we've a healthy way of showing it." He grinned broadly, "Not to mention we are experts." He finished as he led her into their bedroom.
