Yawning, Myne stretched her arms and legs as she lay on her back, looking up at the huge tree in the arboretum. The grass felt nice and comfortable and she had some Ferengi snacks with her and a drink, waiting for Vira to arrive for their little picnic get-together after their shift.

Long golden hair haloed Vira's face as it came into view, the risian now stood directly above her smiling down at her friend. "Are we napping instead of picnicking?" She teased.

"Not my fault you got here late!! I got bored and decided to take a nap!" Myne chuckled and stuck her tongue out at Vira. "So, how are you Veve? Thank you for accepting the picnic invitation!" The Trill continued as she pushed herself up from the grass and reached out to grab the picnic bag, pulling a blanket from it and getting up to place it on the grass. "How was your shift?"

Vira grabbed a corner of the blanket and assisted Myne in laying it out on the grass. Once it was down she plopped down, "It was utterly boring. No alien invasion, no broken anything. I don't know if I can run another pointless diagnostic without ripping out my eye lashes." She sighed dramatically.

With the blanket laid out, Myne got back on it and stretched. "Boring? You know, I can simulate a hostile takeover of our systems if you want to have some fun? Or set up some fun puzzles for you every time you start a shift? You won't be able to access any console on the ship unless you solve the puzzle!" Myne chuckled teasingly. "Yeah, I know, diagnostics are boring, hence why I always do other work on the side while running them."

The Risians green eyes widened, "We need more takeovers for sure, will you be able to hide it from Whavi finding out who initiated it? Or maybe we could play if off as a training exercise!"

"Yeah, I think I could spin a training exercise. Or, I could just target you specifically. We do have sensors all over the interior of the ship after all. It is not hard to single out a individual and make sure all consoles you approach, or any piece of electronic really, reacts in a certain way. I could make it your very own individual challenge." Myne explained her wacky idea.

Vira raised a brow in suspicion, "So make me look like I've gone bonkers all day seeing something no one else is able to?" She paused." Na, puzzles might be better." She sat up and gestured toward the picnic basket with her chin. "Did you bring food?" She asked hopefully.

"Well, making you look as if you've gone bonkers is really just a bonus. Come on, it will be fun!! Maybe you can get a nickname out of it. Loony Vira seems to roll off the tongue nicely." Myne laughed loudly. "And yeah, I did, but not sure you'll like it. It's a lot of Ferengi stuff." The Trill pulled the basket she had brought with her and pulled out two bottles of Slug-o-Cola and offered one to Vira.

Vira accepted the beverage. "It's been years since I've had one of these!" She wasn't extremally fond of ferangi food and drink but her taste were vast thanks to her upbringing. "I like word puzzles and rhymes... for future reference."

"Haha, I will keep that in mind when preparing your future fun times during your shift. To keep you on your toes!!" Myne chuckled and took a swig of her drink. "So how has life been? Like the new captain? The new old captain!"

"Well, I liked her before she left. I sadly haven't bumped into her since shes been back though. I'm not sure if that's a good thing or...." Vira shrugged with a mischievous smirk. "You? Are you seeing anyone yet?! There's this ensign in medical who's not bad on the eyes. Your into Andorrans right?" The risian rambled.

Shaking her head, Myne took another sip of her drink. "No. Had a thing for a bit with Commander T'Kara, but we drifted apart. Haven't talked or seen her in a while." Looking up she sighed. "Andorran you say? Yeah, I find them generally cute. Something about their more orderly demeanor that pulls at the heart strings, you know? And he's not bad on the eyes?"

"Nope, not at all, his hair is a bit longer but he keeps it tied back. And how did I not know about the commander?! Keeping secrets Myne?" Vira teased as she nudged her friend.

Myne blushed a bit as she was nudged and shook her head. "No, no secrets silly. Just, erm, you know, kinda forgot about it. We were roomies for a fit and it more or less got a bit more for a bit. Nothing to write to the operations department about!"

Vira narrowed her eyes to slits in suspicion. She would let her friend keep her secrets, she'd spill the dirty details one day. "Hmm. Why do I always get the dull roomies? You know the ones that just wanna yap about work.... and work.... and blah."

Shrugging, Myne looked up and smiled. "I don't know, maybe it is the energy you put out in the universe. I put out crazy energy, so the crazies are drawn to me. You should really set fire to a cargo bay or two. That would make sure that the universe updates its file on you. Start sending you less dull roomies in the future!"

Giving an incredible look Vira responded, "Or more likely suspended, or even ejected from an airlock. You really think I could get away with that? Whavi or Taylor would personally see to my demise after such a stunt,"

"Oh no, you won't get ejected from an airlock! I think they banned that! Chief Whavi herself told me I am not allowed to dismember anyone in the department! I think that includes airlocking people!" Myne laughed and shook her head, looking at Vira with a wide smile. "I already set the highest possible bar for crazy on this ship. So as long as you don't do anything I wouldn't do, which really doesn't leave that many options unavailable, you will be fine Vira!"

"Your brand of crazy is cute though, its innocent. I cant say the same for mine." She gave a chuckle before bringing her bottle of Slug-oh-Cola to her lips and finishing it with an audible satisfied sigh. "Any plans for the weekend?"

"Awww, that is so sweet!! Thank you Vira!!" Myne beamed happily at the compliment. "I am sure you brand of crazy is just as adorable. As for the weekend? I don't know. I have been feeling loneliness a bit too strong as of late. Been married for too long far too many times. I am no longer used to being alone, you know? So I might make up some reasons to visit the marine section of the ship to at least, erm, wash my eyes with pretty boys."
