A Love Letter

Gary smiled in approval. The bouquet of red roses was in the middle of the table, along with a box of chocolates and a box holding a new sword for Lia. But almost unnoticed was the card containing Gary's feelings for Lia in the form of a love letter. He was working on a Japanese dinner for them but specifically for Lia. He had Dabo Chicken with some Tonkatsu. He even had some Yakitori chicken and some Kashipan(Sweet Bread). To complete dinner, he had Sake chilling in the fridge.

He smiled as he worked, this was a labor of love for he knew of Lia's love for the Japanese culture and especially their food. He looked back into the dining room and thought on what he had written.

He knew he didn't need to do any of this for Lia, that she would be happy just spending time with him. However, he needed to do this, to show Lia she was number one in his heart. He knew she felt she competed with Catlin and he wanted to put that to rest. He had the computer playing Strangers in The Night by Frank Sinatra softly in the background but when Lia arrived it would increase in volume.

He smiled as he reviewed his preparations and hoped this was a Valentine's Day Lia would always remember fondly.
