With the majority of the crew Planetside in the cave system, Alicia and the rest of the Counselling staff were doing their best to help as many of the crew as they could. Making her way to see Phoenix, Alicia smiled politely.

“I hope I’m not intruding on you Commodore” Alicia smiled warmly. “I wanted to check in on you, see how you’re doing.”

Phoenix looked up from the file she was reading, a list of names. "I am doing as well as can be expected" she said softly to the counselor. "Its like Deja vu as humans say, with ice rather than heat."

Alicia nodded. “It’s all been so... horrific! So many lost, but equally so many saved. The crew are pulling together admirably, but they all look to you for guidance. That’s a lot of weight on you.”

Phoenix nodded. "I have been through this before. I had to hold a crew together while an XO played least in sight and an Admiral who had no regard for his own saftey as a mere Lieutenant. I will get us home Alicia."

Alicia nodded. “I have every faith in you Phoenix, your strength gives us all strength. We’re lucky to have found this world to set up on while the ship undergoes repairs. To be honest I wasn’t sure the ship would be liveable given the damage she incurred.”

"She has more lives than a cat, that ship" Phoenix said softly. "Its going to be rough and cold for a bit but I have faith in our engineering team."

“I know, you have an optimism about you that’s infectious” Alicia smiled. “It’s amazing to see the way everyone pulls together. I feel honored to be a part of this extended family.”

Phoenix smiled at that. "It’s what I wanted the crew to be. A family. I am glad people feel that way."

Alicia nodded. “We’ve gone through so much together it’s hard not to feel like family. Hell I wouldn’t have Sthilg as my father, and my mother wouldn’t have found him and fallen in love with him if I hadn’t become part of this crew. It was fated to be, and I’m a firm believer in fate.”

"Well here is hoping Fate allows us to get home." Phoenix said with a small smile.

Alicia nodded. “Guess I’d best get back to it, there are still plenty of people out there that need someone to talk to. The Counselling department will do everything we can to help everyone.”

"Make sure your team takes time for themselves as well Alicia." Phoenix said softly.

“Of course I will” Alicia nodded. “This has been hard enough without the extra weight of helping the crew as well. We do it because we can, and we have time for ourselves when we can.”

Phoenix nodded. "If they want to join one of the exploration teams let them. Might do them good as well."

“Sounds like a good idea to me” Alicia nodded. “A break from the routine will be a rest in itself.”

Phoenix considered it. "And Alicia all senior staff need to be assessed. Start with Miraj."

Alicia nodded. “Of course, I’ll get on it as soon as I can.”

Smiling, Phoenix looked around the area where they were. "For now its all we can do I guess"

Alicia smiled and nodded. “I’ll do all I can Phoenix, that’s a promise!”

"I know." Phoenix had that confidence in her crew. She trusted them to do the right thing and to do their best.

“I guess I should be going, you know where I’ll be if you need me.” Alicia smiled warmly.

"Take care counselor. And please let me know if you require someone to back you up with the crew."

Alicia nodded. “I will Commodore, that’s a promise.”
