Lieutenant Whavi-Tonelly exited the turbolift lift quickly, carrying her uniform jacket in hand. She hadn't bothered to put it back on, knowing her skin was still covered in a layer of sweat from the spar with Captain Richardson. Her exposed skin grew with goosebumps as she moved. She was eager for a sonic shower but even more eager to find her partner.
When she came to the door of her private family quarters, she entered quickly, her eyes looking for David as soon as the door was open.
David was sitting at the small desk, opposite the door to the corridor, his back to the door, as he worked on various reports for the Marine unit aboard. When the doors slid open, he spun around partially, and smiled reflexively as he saw the woman who owned a big part of his heart. Their daughter, had gained possession of most of it, the day she was born.
When he saw the look of hunger in his mate's eyes, he raised his right index finger to his lips. "I just got her down for the night, sweetheart," he whispered as he turned fully towards Baeryn.
Baeryn tossed her jacket to the sofa, reaching down to slip her feet from her shoes. She then tip-toed over to David near silently. When she was within arms distance of him she whispered, “Good. I need a shower.” She grabbed David’s hand and pulled him up from the chair and led him towards the bathroom. Her heart was racing now. The feeling low in her belly that started out like a small flutter was a full on raging fire now that she was in close proximity of David.
“I had a sparring session,” she reached up to press her lips to his. The passion behind her kiss was unmistakable.
Feeling the energy pouring off of his mate, David went easily with Baeryn as she pulled him along. When she kissed him, he wrapped his powerful arms around her and pulled her close, returning her passion with equal vigor.
"Oh?" He asked as he released her long enough to pull his shirt off over his head, his muscles rippling as his twisted and moved. "With whom?"
Baeryn paused to admire David’s body. She wanted to slowly run her fingertips over every curve of muscle that covered him but knew it was only a matter of time before the little one woke. She managed to remove her top, her skin still warm and damp from the sweat she had worked up. “Captain Richardson.” She fumbled with the shower dials before turning back to David. “It had been awhile, and I have to admit it looked fun.” Baeryn thought back to her spar with the captain and how exhilarating it had been to swing at someone. In less than thirty seconds, her focus was back on the god-like being, half dressed in front of her. She pulled him towards her by his waist band until his body was flush with hers. The cold glass of the shower on her back made her hiss into his mouth as she kissed him.
David was about to respond to what Baeryn said, when she pulled him to her and locked her mouth upon his. As they kissed, he quickly undid and dropped his pants to his ankles. He then helped free his mate from the rest of her clothing, before lifting her up and carrying her into the steaming shower.
Goosebumps rose across Baeryn's skin when the water hit her. She instinctively tightened her grip on David. Her lips traveled from his mouth to his neck as she bit him playfully, dragging her tongue over the indents she left there.
David growled softly when he felt his mate's teeth gain purchase in his skin. Turning, he pressed her back up against the inner shower wall. As the steam started to fill the room, he showed her just how much he loved her.
Nearly ninety minutes later, they were stepping out of the shower and drying off. Each of them had several bite marks on numerous parts of their bodies. Of course, with David's healing ability, the ones that Baeryn had given were alreasy vanishing.
The ones he had given her however....
However, before she could remark on them, they heard their little angel crying out from her crib. "Sounds like someone is hungry," she said with a soft, motherly smile. "Why don't you get dressed, while I feed her, then find us something to eat as well..." she crinkled up her nose playfully as she started to walk away. "And I'll tell her how much of a beast her Daddy is."
David shot a look towards his mate as he replied. "Hey!" He grinned as he continued. "Just because you don't heal as quickly as I do, doesn't mean you can use it to win our daughter's favorite to your side!"
Pausing briefly before the door leading into the nursery, Baeryn grinned and retorted in her usual spunky way. "Doesn't it though?" She winked, then moved inside, leaving David alone with his thoughts.
Shaking his head as he chuckled softly, David moved to the dressed and grabbed some comfortable pajamas to put on. He then moved to the small kitchen and started to put together a few of Baeryn's favorite foods. He then set the table for the three of them, as he saw Baeryn dressing Samanthanna in a fresh outfit.
For the rest of the evening, the new family spent the time enjoying each other, further cementing their family bonds between both parents and child, and between mate and mate.
