Gen'Tetra frowned as she looked at the proposed Revision to her orders, her stomach twisting into knots as she considered the ramifications of what Reo’Thanra was Proposing. The sheer audacity and chaos such a proposal could create upon their Return to The confederacy’s borders, and worse, the potential Court martials that could greet them if the admiralty of the Confederacy decided to look unfavorably upon a disgraced Intelligence operative and a half banished Engineer. “A…are you mad?” she asked with a tremble to her voice, uncertainty washing over her to the extent that her long ears had flattened themselves against the white fur of her head. Her tail curled up between her legs as she tore her gaze away from the PADD and up to her Shorter superior officer. “This is…this is dangerous thinking.”
Reo’Thanra sighed and rubbed her head, his own tail twitching and flicking with irritation. “I know it is, But Circumstances as they are…our Options are Very limited out this far, and if we want to have any chance of getting back to Vulpeca And reporting our findings to the fleet, We Have To assist the crew of this ship with every possible option at out disposal,” he said with a gruff grunt of frustration, his Large ears pressed forwards.
Gen'Tetra nodded stiffly and glanced towards the door, her long ears pricked forward as she listened for the approach of footsteps. "If the Humanoids find out that our mission here is two fold they could throw us in the brig, or worse..." she hissed under her breath.
"Yes, yes...I understand the danger of what I am proposing but it's a risk that I am willing to take, the rewards of aiding these humanoids would be worth the risks, especially considering our own circumstances." He sighed as he rubbed his brow. “We upgrade the Elysium with as much as we can, propose to the captain that we officially join the federation of planets Star fleet for the duration of this mission, and return home as soon as we can,” he said with a shrug. “If we’re…dead we can’t report back, if we get home, we can deal with the potential treasons charges as we face them.” He paused and looked to the side. “Its entirely possible by the time we get back the Federation and the Confederacy will have signed the accord to bring Our people into the Federation.
Gen'Tetra frowned and nodded, looking down at the floor. "You are certain about this?" she asked in a soft tone, her voice low and hesitant. "Yes, we'll keep our hands clean, just help the humans with their repairs, but what if we come back.... if we return to known space...and end up as traitors to the confederacy..." she sighed and clenched her paws with frustration. "I'll kill you." She said with a frown, her tail lashing angrily. "I'll kill you myself you bastard, if you get me shot, if you get me killed!" she hissed angrily. "If the humanoids find out we're spies..."
Reo'Thanra snapped a growl to quiet her, his voice rolling with frustration. "We're not spies any more, We're members of this crew, our mission is Over and our tasks must now focus to the needs of the ship and crew.”
"You're insane, this whole plan is insane," Gen'Tetra said, her voice a hoarse whisper.
"I am aware of the risks and I understand the possible consequences." Reo'Thanra said softly.
