[ON:]

Andrinn had been down in his office while he was looking over some of the old treaties between the Federation and others. Mainly, the Romulans, as they were the ones sitting outside the ship. Circumstances made it where they had to work together and as the chief diplomat onboard, Andrinn wanted to make sure that he had everything that he could possibly ever want or need for any meeting with the Romulans.

Andrinn was looking over everything that he could find that the Romulans did with the Federation or even individual planets, such as United Earth. He was looking back to when the Earth-Romulan War happened before the Federation was ever established. Andrinn knew that the Romulans were a highly xenophobic species and didn't have much trust for anyone. Especially for Humans, Vulcans, and a few others.

So, to be able to have treaties, especially the one that stopped the war between the Romulans and Earth was massive for its time and something he wanted to look at before the next day.

On the screen in front of Andrinn, he was looking over the treaty and legal wording that ended the war between Earth and the Romulans. After the Battle of Cheron in 2160, the Romulans and Earth signed the treaty ending the war and establishing the Romulan Neutral Zone. Any incursions by either side would be considered an act of war.

Something that Andrinn had found interesting was that during the entire war and even afterwards, neither side saw each other. In particular, nobody saw the Romulans. The treaty was worked on over subspace radios and signed that way. As Andrinn was reading that part, he could both see and not see how that worked out. For Andrinn, he enjoyed seeing people face to face while doing treaty work, even if it was just for signing it.

It was just something that Andrinn chuckled about for a moment before moving onto the Treaty of Algeron. This was one of the more recent treaties that the Romulans had signed with the Federation. This one reaffirmed the Romulan Neutral Zone along with outlawing the Federation from doing anything with cloaking technology. Apparently, the Treaty of Algeron was signed and worked on after the Tomed Incident.

Now, Andrinn knew quite a bit about the Tomed Incident. He had been there on Earth when the incident happened and was working with his mother on helping to make sure the Federation and the Romulan Star Empire didn't go to war over the incident. Thankfully, the entire thing didn't take long and it even opened up some limited...LIMITED lines of communication between the two political rivals. It was limited to usually some diplomatic and intelligence that the other might have or want.

There was a chime on his computer about some incoming notes that the Romulan liaison wanted Andrinn to look over before any meetings. Andrinn opened the packet up and saw there was a good amount to look over. Andrinn chuckled to himself before he said, "Looks like it's going to be a long night tonight."

He continued to work and burn the midnight oil as he continued to make some notes for the Romulan meeting. Andrinn got up and ordered himself some coffee to make it through the next few hours.
