Lia stood looking out of the window of her cabin, her small case sat on her bunk. Her thoughts turned to her present situation, oO So now I'm Gary's No.1 How the hell did I get here Oo. She freshened herself up and sat next to her case, as she changed her uniform for a fresher one she felt nervous. "Computer, find my personal music file Lia Japanese Songs", she stood up to cross the cabin to touch up her makeup. =^="Music file found"=^=, came the response. Lia nodded and thought about how she felt, "Computer find the Japanese artist Aoi Tada, and then play track Brave Song", she waited for the song to start.

Quietly a single female Japanese voice flooded her cabin, the song rose and fell and carried Lia along with it. Her mind returned to the time as a schoolgirl she and her friends used to watch ancient Japanese anime with wonder, she had been told to stop as all you could do was watch, it wasn't interactive. But the love of this song had never left her, and all the other song she had first listened to as she watched the anime. Her other song she would listen to over and over was `Palm of a tiny hand' by an artist called Riya, both these songs could reduce her to tears.

As the song came to a close, Lia dabbed her eyes, once again that song had worked it's magic on her. Taking a deep breath she walked to the door, "Computer, note track and play when I return". The door opened and she stepped through, =^="Track noted and will play upon return"=^= came the response. She smiled to herself, if only Gary or the rest of the crew knew just what she listened to. They wouldn't understand why, no one ever had. Why would anyone listen to music you couldn't understand? Simply because music has no language, if it moves you then its what you enjoy. And all her anime themes moved Lia, they made her happy, sad, or just loved.

She arrived on the bridge and as the end theme of `Charlotte' played in her mind, she took her post. Some how that tune matched what was happening around her, the joy and the mystery.

Another wonderful post that shows just what makes the Elysium's Security/Tactical Chief and Second Officer tick. Well done! Thanks for the insight.
