Tallia had taken off early, Heather was still asleep in sickbay and, thankfully, doing pretty well, and they were prepping for casualties and injuries from Casperia, but she had a more pressing issue on her mind, Gallia had cancelled Tayalas' appointment for her checkup. She stood in front of her friend's door and rang the chime, talking on her way in the second Gallia opened it, "Hey, you! What's with cancelling our appointment?" She asked, setting her bag on the table.

"Well, I didnae think it was right te be takin' ye time up when ye got injuries comin' from the planet." Gallia explained, shocked but in no way surprised at Tallia's storming of the proverbial Bastille.

"Possible injuries." Tallia corrected, reaching down into the playpen for Tayalas, "Hey, beautiful, wanna come see me?"

"Sana." Tayalas replied, clapping her tiny blue hands together.

"See, this is the reaction I want from all my patients!" Tallia grinned, kissing Tayalas' head as she did, "Okay, so dual purpose, she's nice and cool to the touch."

"Aye, she's doin' real well, Doctor." Gallia agreed, "Another reason why I didnae think we should be wastin' ye time."

"Checkups for children this age are so important, they're never a waste of time." Tallia said, running her tricorder over Tayalas, "Okay, bp good, oxygen good, no sign of viral infection or injuries..."

"Sana." Tayalas nodded, whatever the doctor lady was looking it she must have been doing good; maybe Mommy would give her a cookie with chocky chips.

"Ears, eyes, and antennae look good." Tallia smiled, "And she's right on track weight wise, plus a kilo."

"Is that bad, Doctor?" Gallia asked, she knew she had been giving Tay a lot of treats lately, wondered now if it was too many.

"Not at all." Tallia shook her head and smiled, "The 'ideal weight' thing is just a guideline, you've got like eight to twelve kilos on either side and you're still good. Plus she's about two centimeters taller than expected, so that factors in as well."

"Tha's mah sister in 'er." Gallia smiled, "She was tall and beautiful and just an all 'round better specimen of woman than me."

"Oh, I don't know if I'd say better." Tallia comforted, Gallia was a great specimen as far as she was concerned, "But, yes, tall and gorgeous are likely outcomes for this one's future." She playfully rubbed Tayalas' head, "Yes, you're gonna be all tall and pretty, like a blue angel."

Tayalas giggled and cooed, taking the doctor's finger into her tiny hand and saying, "Al-e-a."

"Oh, she learned my name." Tallia squeed, "That's so cute!" She picked up Tayalas and cuddled her a second, the baby laying her antennae on Tallia's chest as she did and kissing it, "And this is why I will never stop doing house calls."
