Milla hadn't seen Maddy in a few days, the newly anointed Ensign being buried deep in emotional traumas after this latest disaster, but now she was going to have to clear her schedule because Milla was coming with big news, the biggest. She rang the chime and waited to hear Maddy call her in, before practically dancing into the door, grabbing the Counselor by the waist and kissing her neck, "Well, good afternoon, sexy." She giggled.

"Hi..." Maddy blushed; a few months ago she would've been incensed with anyone taking those kind of liberties, but she knew this was Milla being Milla and she accepted the Cadet for who she was and had been all the way back to when she might have been Maddy's only friend here, or at least one of them. Though, one awkward point remained, "Milla, you remember Mark Robeson?"

"H...hi... Mi...Mi... Milla." Robeson smiled, his speech and walking were still troubling him, but he was getting better every day, "G...g...g..ood to see you again."

Milla walked from Maddy straight to Mark, getting on her knees beside him and laying her head on his shoulder, "Even better to see you." She smiled, "Best thing I've seen all day."

"For... for you... maybe." He laughed, "Though I was... kinda... won...wondering where that woulda went if I.... if I wasn't here."

"Please don't encourage her." Maddy laughed, Milla was too much on her own, but give her an audience and you were in for it.

"Hey, I'll have you know I'm on my way to being an honest woman." Milla laughed, "Jessica proposed."

"Jess... Jessica?" Mark raised an eyebrow, he didn't think he'd been down that long.

"Yeah, Lt. Cdr. Vaii." Maddy replied, "They just met in like November, so this is a little nuts."

"I... I heard Vaii is... nu... nuts." Mark smiled, "Least acco.. according to Gunny."

"Why does Gunny think Jessica is nuts?" Milla asked, genuinely concerned.

"Gu... Gunny says somebody would... would have to be nuts to...to marry into your family." He joked, though it wasn't untrue, Rhodes had said just that, but did it so lovingly, well, as much as the stone faced Jarhead lifer could show love to anything aside from his rifle.

"Okay, in our defense..." Milla started, then stopped, "I got no idea where I'm going with this."

"Anyway, Milla, you popped in for something big?" Maddy asked, anxious to know what her friend had on her mind this time.

"Yes! Thank you!" Milla beamed, "Congrats, baby, you've made Bridesmaid!"

"Really?" Maddy squealed, "Okay, okay, so what am I going to wear? When are we getting fitted? Who else is going to be in the party?"

"Haven't decided, sometime in the next couple of weeks, and right now I'm looking at Anje, Tallia, you, Tina if she can make it, and Gallia Norris." Milla replied.

"Oh wow, you have so got to get her to let Taya be your flower girl." Maddy said without hesitation, "She would be the cutest little flower girl ever."

"Okay, best idea ever, Mads." Milla replied, looking at her watch, "Crap, I gotta go, got to get with the others and get this thing planned. Back soon, love ya, mean it..."

Maddy barely managed to squeak a reply of "Love you, too." before Milla was out the door and on to who knew where.

"Tha... that girl... that girl is nuts." Mark sighed and laughed.

"Maybe, but she's great." Maddy smiled, taking a seat beside Mark and taking his hands.

"So.. so are you." Mark replied, "Especially once you got... got that stick.. got that stick out of your ass."

"Thanks." Maddy laughed, leaning in and kissing Mark deeply, "Wonder what Milla would say if she saw that?"

"Knowing Milla she would say called it and then be smug." Maddy laughed hard, knowing that her Russian friend would do just that because Milla had told her she would when she 'eventually caught them.'

"We... we'll keep her in the... in the dark." Mark pledged, "At least for a... for a little while longer."

"Right, before she starts planning our wedding." Maddy rolled her eyes then burst back into laughter.
