S’hib's hooves clicked frantically around his quarters as he worried over every little detail, after all, he hadn’t had anyone inside his quarters since coming aboard, let alone for a date.

The thought was enough to make the hairs of his mane stand on end as he gathered up the dead leaves from various plants

“I should have done this on the holodeck,” He snorted, making sure every plant and ornament that adorned his small quarters was perfect. “Why didn't I do this on the holodeck.” he continued, rushing into his small kitchen to check on the two large metal pots of stew that were bubbling away.

Besides the carpeted floor and the bed beneath the curved windows his quarters looked more like an extension of the arboretum, even the ceiling had not escaped his botanical hooved grasp, the vines that snaked all over the wooden frame above his head flowering with small grape like fruits.

“Is it supposed to fall apart?” S’hib questioned with a worried whine as he stirred the stew for Naxea, the slightly pink meat flaking apart as he did so. “Ahhh I have no idea what I'm doing...” He conceded, placing the lids back into place before moving towards his mirror.

“Hope I look ok,” He sighed, adjusting the long dark blue kilt around his waist, his self confidence failing him ever since his time at the hands of the Orions. "Eh... She has seen worse." He sighed running a thick comb over his chest and shoulders, smoothing down the short white hairs that covered the entirety of his equine body.

“Computer dim the lights by twenty percent.” He said softly, before moving back towards the kitchen.

Naxea was in rare form as she was out of uniform, having opted to dress casual, with a burgundy long sleeve shirt and tan casual pants. She wore her hair down--it felt different as she rarely did so. She closed her eyes as she thought back to what she had been forced to do at the hands of the Orions. She hadn't told anyone, having still felt ashamed and angry. However, she also couldn't shake the sight of S'hib, beaten and bloodied. Sighing, she pressed the chime.

Hearing the chime S’hib rushed to the door, nearly dragging the table with him as he did so. “Naxea...” S’hib said happily as the door opened, leaning slightly under the arch of the frame “You have your mane down... um your hair,” He stumbled over his own tongue as he shook his head in embarrassment. “It suits you.” he finished, before standing aside and beckoning her inside.

Naxea grinned at S'hib's stumbling of words as she entered his quarters. It seemed smaller than hers but much more decorative as she looked at the vines along the ceiling. She could hardly believe that such decorations were allowed. "Thank you," she replied. "Nice place."

"A Lil home away from home..." S'hib confessed as he hurried himself back to the section of his quarters that he called his kitchen. "I'm sure it's breaking a few rules..." S'hib added as he turned down the heat and removed the lids. "Though most of it is edible, even for you." He jested, pointing up at the vines she was admiring. "You should try one."

Naxea reached up and grabbed one, popping it into her mouth. "Not bad," she said after a moment after she chewed and swallowed it. "So what are you cooking?" she sniffed at an unusual smell coming from the kitchen area. "I thought you said you couldn't cook," she approached the kitchen.

"I can't... " S'hib admitted as he found himself trapped between two pots of stew and an inquisitive Naxea. "But I didn't want to just replicate something..." He added, waving his hand towards several PADDs that lay on the counter and the cooking instructions on their screens. "Hopefully it doesn't taste too bad." S'hib laughed, trying to catch glimpses of her beautiful eyes without staring awkwardly.

Naxea looked into the pots before looking up at S'hib and smiling. "Looks like you're doing great," she complimented. "If the beef falls apart, then it means it's tender and was made correctly. It just needs to cook a bit longer." If there was one thing Naxea knew about, it was cooking. She recalled the numerous nights she would help cook for her mother, Jessel, and Mira. Her mother had always hated replicated food.

“That is a relief,” S’hib sighed, feeling a wave of anxiety fall away as his posture relaxed. “I've never cooked meat before, least not like this anyway.” He added, looking down at Naxea, his natural instincts to run a hand through her hair held back by a confusing mix of regulations and etiquette towards guests. This was going to be more difficult than he thought.

"How come you haven't cooked much?" Naxea asked as she looked up at S'hib.

"I tend to mostly eat fresh fruit and vegetables, plus I'm surrounded by food that doesn't need cooking," S'hib replied, glancing around the miniature jungle that was his quarters.

"True...but cooking can be fun," Naxea replied before pausing for a moment. "Do you like stew or any meat? I don't want to make you uncomfortable."

S’hib smiled at her concern, finding the softer side of the Major somewhat amusing. “This one is for you,” He gestured to one of the pots. “And this is mine, they're both identical aside from yours has the meat in.” He finished, gently nudging against her. “I like you... but not enough to eat meat.” He joked with a slight shake of his head.

"Ah, then I guess I'll have to try harder," she joked as she sat down at the nearby table. "So how are you doing?"

"I'm doing ok," S'hib lied with a strained smile, his mind flashing back to his captivity. "What about yourself?" He asked, trying to rid his mind of negative thoughts as he went about opening a small cupboard.

Naxea nodded slowly at S'hib 's response. "I've been better, to be honest." She paused for a moment, trying to decide how to proceed. "S'hib, I'm sorry for leaving you alone. I should have known better. "

"No, don't..." S'hib replied with a shake of his head. "It's me that should apologise, I should never have taken us somewhere so secluded." He added while slowing shutting the cupboard, staring down at the two white bowls in his hands. "Neither of us would have been..." he finished, trailing off as he found himself unable to commit his thoughts to words.

Getting up from the table, Naxea made her way over to S'hib. "You're not to blame, S'hib," she reached out, wrapping her arms around him, enjoying his warmth.

Her touch scared him if only for a moment, her affection dragging him out of the dark thoughts that had plagued him since being rescued. "I keep trying to tell myself that..." He replied softly, letting out a pained sigh of relief as he felt her fingers amongst his white coat. "But they made me do things Naxea," He added, placing the bowls down before slowly turning around and wrapping his longs arms around her. Pulling Naxea close as he starred out of the window above his bed with tears in his eyes. "And I don't know how I feel anymore."

"I'm sorry..." Naxea began. "They made me do things as well...but we can't allow those incidents to control us, or those bastards will have won." It was something that had been ingrained in her since her early childhood under the Cardassian Occupation.

S'hib took a deep breath, composing himself as he blinked the salty brine from his eyes. "Could have been worse I suppose, you almost had to spend two days alone with me." He joked, trying to lighten the mood as he looked down at her.

Naxea couldn't help herself but smile. "True. Your wilderness survival skills suck," she teased back, finally letting go of S'hib and taking a step back.

"Ah the tent, yes..." S'hib smiled, feeling the blood rush to the inside of his ears. "Well in my defence... I was mostly just watching you build yours." He admitted, feeling ridiculous as he did so.

"Ah, I should have known," Naxea said, grinning as she grabbed a bowl. "Come on, let's eat and you can tell me how many other times I somehow distracted you from doing something."

"Oh yeah, the stew," S'hib muttered, moving back over to the two bubbling pots, oblivious to the fact she had once again distracted him from something. "I do hope it tastes ok." He added, turning off the heat and removing the lids.

"Oh?" Naxea questioned, raising an eyebrow. "Good thing I was here then to remind you that you were cooking. Wouldn't want to explain to the Captain why your quarters caught fire. Besides, a woman has to eat."

"I know what I'm doing." S'hib frowned, trying to hide an embarrassed smile as he started filling their bowls.

"I'm only teasing you, S'hib. I know you know what you're doing," Naxea reassured with a grin.

"Well at least one of us does then," S'hib quipped back, handing Naxea her bowl. "Can I get you a drink?" He smiled, enjoying her company.

"Raktajino, please," Naxea answered, taking the bowl. "You really should give yourself more credit," she said sincerely as she watched him get his stew.

"I am learning..." S'hib said softly knowing full well she was right, but recent events seemed to only feed the demon on his shoulder. "It's just, I've had a lot on my mind since we got back." He trailed off, setting his bowl down before moving to the replicator. "Two Raktajino's." He snorted, trying to compose himself once more.

Naxea waited until S'hib had returned with the drinks. "I know I'm not a counselor, but I want you to know you can talk to me about what's on your mind."

"It wouldn't be fair on you, besides..." S'hib said with a smile as he placed the drinks down. "You being here is enough," He added as he slowly sat down across from Naxea, his smile fading to a confused frown as he glanced back over to the kitchen where his bowl still sat.

A defeated sigh left his lips as he pulled himself back up from the chair, the slightest perceived failure of his daily routines weighing him down immensely.

"I'll add it to the list of things unfair in my life," Naxea said as she watched S'hib sit back down with his bowl. She was genuinely worried about him as she got up and sat down in the chair next to him. "You can't carry the weight of the universe on your shoulders. I know--I tried."

"I'm not trying too..." S'hib said before lifting his spoon to his lips, blowing gently on the steaming vegetable broth. "Just, how can I protect the ship... you, when I can't even protect myself." He sighed, gently placing the spoon in his mouth, trying to resist the urge to lean over to her shoulder.

"I appreciate your concern, but let me worry about me," Naxea said before taking a spoonful of stew--impressed with the taste. "Everyone on this ship knew the risks when they signed up. You can't protect everyone all the time no more than Gallia can keep Tayalas from falling every now and then. This stew is delicious by the way."

"Thank you." S'hib said before spooning another mouthful of stew between his lips. "And I know, you're right...again," S'hib added, aimlessly stirring the contents of his bowl before speaking again. "It's just... If I hadn't been kidnapped by the Orions, neither would you."

"There are a lot of 'ifs'," Naxea began, pausing for a moment to find her next words as she recalled her chat with Commander Holmes a few days ago. "Let us focus on moving forward," she suggested.

Silent for a moment at her suggestion, tilting his head to the side and looking into her eyes. "Together..." S'hib replied, smiling as he looked back to his bowl.

Naxea nodded and grinned before taking another bite of her stew. She had grown close to S'hib over the past few months--something she hadn't expected or planned. It had started out as respect, to friendship, and now was it turning into something else? She remained quiet as she continued to eat her stew.

A few minutes later she finished her bowl and sat back in her chair, looking at S'hib. "That was very good. Keep this up and I'll see to it the captain makes you the ship's chef," she joked.

"Well, I made far too much so you're welcome to take it when you leave," S'hib replied while gently placing his bowl down, already regretting his choice of words. "I'm glad you enjoyed it though." He added, flicking his long tail to the side and turning slightly in his seat to look at Naxea. "But if you want dessert, it's gonna have to be from the replicator." He finished with a slightly nervous laugh.

"No thank you," she said before leaning over and giving S'hib a kiss.

Her advance caught S'hib completely by surprise, his tail flicking out behind him like a whip against the leg of the table. "Na.." He started, about to say her name before leaning into the kiss.

Naxea broke the kiss slowly and looked at S'hib. "Yes?"

His mind raced as she looked up at him, her eyes piercing into his with a mischievously proud glint. "There you go again, distracting me..." He said eventually, feeling his heart demanding for more room beneath his chest than his lungs would allow. "But..." He continued leaning back towards her, a smile growing on his lips. "Was that no to dessert, or no to leaving."

Naxea paused for a moment, seemingly weighing her decision. "Both," she said finally, her voice softer than normal.

S'hibs smile grew wide as Naxea replied, an exhale of relief masked by a small laugh as he moved a hand to her cheek, gently running his equine fingers over her ear and hair as they kissed once more.

After a moment, Naxea broke the kiss and got up, extending her hand to S'hib and leading him towards the bedroom.

Her grip around his four fingered hand was light, but he was compelled to follow her towards his bed as if her hand was a vice.

The bed sat beneath a large window that ever so slightly curved inwards towards the ceiling, there hung a hand made dream catcher, tied together with his own tail hair.

The bed was of modest size and thankfully long enough for his tall frame, the dark brown covers and metal frame gently blending into the plant life that scaled the walls all around.

Drawing closer to the bed S'hib came up behind Naxea, pressing his bare chest against her back and wrapping his long white arms around her, his usual timid and skittish demeanour slowly replaced with nothing but the desire for the woman against him. "If this too fast, just say..." S'hib said slowly, leaning his head over her shoulder and pressing against her cheek, his soft white coat brushing against her skin.

"If it was, I would let you know," Naxea replied as she slipped off her shirt and removed her bra, turning to face S'hib as she laid backwards on the bed, waiting for him to join her.

S'hibs tail flicked wildly behind him as he watched her sprawl out on his bed, his eyes admiring her body as his hands gripped around his kilt, untying the buckle that fastened it around his waist.

The blue material slipped away, falling behind him as he stepped towards the edge of the bed. So distracting he thought with a smile, gently moving above her as his lips explored her body, coming to a stop along her neck.

Sliding her pants off, she arched her back as S'hib explored her body. Her hands ran down his chest until they came to his member and began to stroke it gently.

Her fingers, delicate and soft sent a flurry of thoughts and emotions as they traced over him. "That's not fair..." S'hib teased as he lifted his head up, a low rumble in his throat as he let out a frustrated snort, steaming the glass of the window above his bed before curling his neck to watch her hands gripped around him.

Naxea chuckled. "Whoever said I play fair?" she asked with a wicked grin before taking one arm and wrapping it around S'hib, pulling him close, kissing him

"Good point..." S'hib admitted in between kisses, gently resting his chest against hers as his hips slid between her thighs. "But then, neither do I." He said pulling at her bottom lip, his mane fluttering down onto her shoulder as he pressed himself against her, his erect Sequus member sliding its length along her warm skin.

Naxea let out a soft moan as she wrapped her legs around him, her body eagerly wanting more.

Her moan, a lust-filled tremble of sound that seemed to wrap itself around his mind, consuming all sense of reason and restraint with it. He wanted more of that sound, more of her.

He was slow at first, pressing himself between her legs, careful not to overstep his mark with his vastly different anatomy. But every sound she made, they threatened to tip him over the edge, a precipice from which Naxea would need more than her marine training to tame him back from.

And she really wasn't helping matters, he thought briefly, breaking away from another long drawn out kiss to look back at her beautiful eyes, how dark they looked now, alive and full of fire.

Naxea gasped as S'hib slid in her, she looked back at S'hib. She could feel his lust for her. She bit on her lip and he continued, breathing more rapidly as she tried to take him in.

Even with his body over hers, his impressive frame arched over her with his powerful legs pressing his hooves into the bed frame, she was the one fully in control.

With Naxea's legs firmly gripped around him, and every pleasured sound escaping her lips, he was enthralled, unable and unwilling to fight against the reins she had put on him.

"You ok?" S'hib asked softly as he kissed up her neck, continuing to thrust slowly.

Naxea nodded. "Yes," she said softly.

“Good...” S’hib smiled as he gently pushed her head to the side with his snout, trailing the tip of his tongue lightly along her skin and kissing up onto her ear, enjoying her body far too much.

Wordless he ran his left hand down the sheets until her found hers, gently sliding between her delicate fingers as he repositioned his hooves.

Another few long moments passed as the feathers of the dream catcher fluttered above, his passionate thrusts had quickened slightly as his right hand slid under Naxea’s back and cupped her shoulder.

And with one last frustrated snort he was consumed by his desires to mate, to bond fully with the woman he had fallen so madly for.

Naxea now moaned louder as S'hib continued faster and harder. She bit down on her lip to keep the sounds of pleasure down as her breathing became more rapid. She wanted him more and she grasped his hand tightly as he thrusted.

Every sound she made, every whimper or moan seemed to pierce his ears and drive him mad... not that he was complaining he thought, kissing down her neck and onto her breasts.

They did after all silence any protest he had of being too rough, relegating those ideas to the back of his mind as he focused on making more of those wonderful noises he was quickly becoming addicted too.

Naxea closed her eyes, enjoying the pleasure coursing through her body as it had adjusted to S'hib's size but his passion was driving her crazy as she felt him tense, knowing he was coming close

Muscles tensed as he bucked his head into the pillow beside her, digging his hooves into the frame of the bed one last time with a deep moan.

His limbs lost there strength if but for a moment as he gently lowered himself and pulled Naxea close, kissing her lips for what seemed the rest of the night.
