Marine XO comes aboard

Sitting in her office, Naxea was looking over recent resupply and transfers from Earth. There were several new Marines, notably an XO. That would make Man'darr happy who wasn't thrilled with filling the XO role. He was happy just training other Marines and fighting--something she knew all too well.

After arriving on the Elysium 1st lieutenant Corisk Malluk had his orders to report to his new Marine Commander Major Naxea he headed to a turbolift to deck 32 when he arrived on deck 32 he entered the Marine CO's Office and stood at attention " Major Naxea 1st lieutenant Corisk Malluk reporting as ordered," he handed her the PADD with his orders.

Naxea looked up at the officer, annoyed. "So, we're on a first name basis, are we, Lieutenant Malluk? Bajoran Surnames are first, not last. So it's Major Azhul. Naxea is my first name. At ease and have a seat," she said, gesturing to the seat across from her.

Corisk said "thanks Major" he took a seat and waited for Major Azhul to continue.

"How are you finding life in Starfleet compared to the Empire?" Naxea questioned, knowing such a change couldn't be easy.

Corisk responded "I am finding my life in starfleet excellent compared to the klingon empire" he said then he asked "what is the current situation with the marine corps Major?" he asked.

"Our detachment recently engaged Orion Slavers with no casualties and only a few wounded. We've been resupplied and took on several new Marines, as well as yourself. We have the latest Marine Armor and equipment as well as the standard arsenal. I suggest getting with Gunny Rhodes as he knows a lot of the Marines well."

Corsik said, "Good idea I'd like to get to know our detachment a little more better as well as inspect our equipment" Corisk said.
