As he returned from his duty shift, he sat down on his bed and said, "Computer, personal log." He felt the new Lieutenant Commander insignia on his collar and then proceeded, "Well, today was interesting - I attended a senior staff meeting, which I didn't know that I was invited to until Commander Holmes said I was to report to it at the scheduled time. When I entered, I was kinda nervous, so I reported to the Captain. I think she was a little amused by it, but she could probably tell I was a little nervous. However, Lieutenant JG Moxton was the star of the meeting, he accused Commander Holmes of some horrid misconduct as a ploy to oust her and have himself put in as Department Chief. That didn't go over so well, he was sent to another department and I was given his position. I was also given a new rank - this is my first personal log as a Lieutenant Commander. After Sarah's passing it was hard but I feel that I am up to the task once more and will give it my all. Well, that's it for now. Computer, end personal log." After he ended the recording, he decided that he would get some shut-eye and drifted off.
