Odd reports

“Assistant chief of security, personal log… Stardate, uh, what is it now… Seven… four six seven six point five three.” S’hib muttered to himself as he flicked his eyes between several PADDs sat strewn across his already cluttered desk.

“My department has been getting numerous reports from all over the ship in regards to, and i quote… strange noises, from within the bulkheads of the Elysium… at first we thought nothing of it, but nearly all the reports describe the same clattering, as though something is moving around.”

He paused for a moment, his mind flashing back to the Jefferson and his encounter with the nest, concern lingered in his mind for a moment as he picked up another PADD

“At first i thought it was perhaps a pet that escaped, but none have been declared missing… so then next, naturally… I asked the Science department, but again… all their specimens are accounted for which only leaves me with a hunch, and a bad one at that…”

His drink, long since turned cold, finally touched his lips, its tepid flavour barely garnering a reaction as he stared at another PADD.

“It’s been a few days since the first reports came in and i've already had a couple teams searching the jefferies tubes… but so far they’ve not found anything of note besides a few tools Engineering had misplaced… I hope I'm wrong about this, but I think i should tell the Captain regardless.”

There was a short pause, the audio log picking up S’hibs tired sigh as another PADD clattered back down to the desk.

“End log.”
