With the Doctor gone Alicia looked to Savar, she could feel that his emotions were starting to fight through the drugs that the doctor had given them both. “Don’t be concerned Imzadi, I’m ready for this. I will help you through it.”
Savar nodded. The cloud that had been lifted just a few minutes before was threatening to descend again. "Do not wish to injure or harm you Alicia." He spoke, his voice calm but the underlying stress could not be ignored.
Alicia knelt in front of her husband. “You won’t harm me Savar, you’ve been preparing me for this. Granted it’s earlier than we expected but that doesn’t mean I’m not going to be there for you now you need me.”
Savar shuddered, trying to control the rise in both his emotions and his passion for Alicia. "Alicia, it is much too dangerous for you." He protested though he knew it was falling on deaf ears as Alicia could be most stubborn for a human.
Alicia could feel the rising passion it was stirring her passion for Savar as well. “Savar ...” She said nothing more but simply leant in for a passionate kiss. She let it linger before breaking it. “I’m yours Savar, let us make our bonding complete.” She stood ready to lead him to the bedroom, holding out her hand for him to take.
Savar's breathing was becoming faster as his emotions grew more intense. Alicia's kiss inflamed those passions to a boiling point. He looked at her. there was no denying what he was experiencing. He took her hand, "Yes, you are." He muttered as he led her towards their bedroom.
Following Savar as he held her hand Alicia wasn’t certain what she was about to face from Savar, his emotions were off the charts. No doubt she was to very soon find out.
It was becoming more and more difficult for Savar to concentrate. His thoughts were becoming more and more singular in nature and they were all focused on Alicia. He didn't even try to talk as the intensity and passion had overtaken him.
Alicia gasped as Savar pulled her roughly toward him, she smiled as she looked into his eyes before the passion overtook them both. Gentleness was overtaken by desire and need as they both landed on the bed engulfed in a fire that wasn’t going to go out anytime soon.
~ A long time later ~
Alicia rolled onto her back and stared at the ceiling, the bed was a wreck thanks to the sheer passion of ragged lovemaking and amongst it all their minds and souls had met. The sheer intensity of emotion, and passion had quite literally blown Alicia’s mind. She’d done her best to cover the pain it had caused alongside the pleasure and now she lay trying to take it all in.
After their epic lovemaking, Savar and Alicia were both physically and emotionally spent. His emotion had been left unchecked and the floodgates had been open, sparking a passion and a desire he never knew before. Even now, as he lay next to Alicia, he had no words for what they both had been through. It had in a word been incredible.
Alicia turned her head and looked towards Savar her hand reaching for his to hold. “Imzadi are you alright?”
Savar's fingers found and interlaced with Alicia's. He didn't answer immediately. Then after a few seconds he did, "I am quite alright Alicia. How are you? I did not hurt you did I?"
Alicia gazed at Savar. “It was ... uncomfortable at times yet intense and incredible.” She could feel their link coming slowly into fruition but she frowned as she tried to reach out telepathically, even more so when she realised she couldn’t sense anything. Not wanting to say anything she kept smiling hoping Savar wouldn’t notice her sudden sense of concern and fear.
"I apologize for your discomfort Alicia it was not intentional I assure you." He stopped and rolled over to face her. "What is wrong? I sense discomfort and fear? What have I done for you to fear me Alicia?" He guessed incorrectly.
“No ... you haven’t” Alicia looked into her husband’s eyes. “You have done nothing, I don’t fear you.” She paused. “I ... I don’t sense anything Savar, I can feel our bond forming in my mind but I don’t sense you or the crew! I’m completely cut off!!”
Savar sat up. "I too feel our bond. Alicia. Yet I am unable to explain as to why you have suddenly lost your empathic abilities. It could be as a result of......." He paused and looked at her "Our earlier passion."
Alicia shrugged her shoulders, “I’m sorry, let’s not ruin this moment.” She motioned for him to lie back down next to her. “I just want to enjoy this time with you, if my senses don’t come back then I’ll go and see Doctor Sthilg. Right now I just want to feel safe in your arms.”
He did as Alicia wanted taking her in arms and holding her close. Yet even as he did, he was plagued with the thought that their intense passion or rather is intense desire and passion for Alicia had caused the loss of her abilities.
Alicia rested her head on her husband’s shoulder. “This isn’t your fault Imzadi. I gave myself willingly and without reservation, if I have to live with the loss of my abilities then I will grow used to it, as long as I have you that’s all that matters to me.”
" It is my fault Alicia. If I had not been in the throes of Pon'farr, this would not have happened. I am responsible for the loss of your abilities." Savar insisted.
“Please ... don’t do that, I’m your wife and I love you.” Alicia raised her head and looked into his eyes. “Right now all I feel is our bond and it’s slowly getting stronger. At least it doesn’t have to compete with feeling everyone else onboard too.” She was trying her hardest to convince herself and Savar that she was coping but deep down Alicia was terrified.
And I love you Alicia. However the issue before us is the loss of your abilities which you had before Pon'farr occurred. Now you do not. What other conclusion can be drawn from this?" Savar asked. "I can sense your fear Alicia please do not say I do not. The bond is one area the loss of your abilities another."
Alicia nodded. “Alright, I’ll be honest I’m scared Imzadi. I’ve never had to try living without my abilities before, I’m not sure how I’m supposed to function in my duties as Counsellor. I’m going to need your Counsel to help me with this, but first of all I will go and see Doctor Sthilg. Hopefully it’s just a temporary side effect.”
"I will do whatever needs to be done to help you Alicia. Do not as the humans say, sell yourself short. You are still a fully qualified counselor and you still know how to listen to people and offer sound advice." Savar replied, trying to keep Alicia's spirits up.
“You’re right” Alicia nodded. “I guess my senses are just a bonus but I feel like I’ve lost a part of myself, all the voices in my head are silent and it’s ... for want of a better word a deafening silence!.” She held onto Savar as he held her in his arms. “Just let me feel you inside my mind, at least I have you to keep me sane.”
Savar tightened his grip around Alicia, "I am always with you Alicia. Parted but never parted. We will get through this together." He promised her even as he was thinking of ways for Alicia to regain her abilities.
