It had not taken Josephine long to find her Mirror among the wandering Federation crew. Selected because the Viceroy had found memories of her in her own mirror's mind, Josephine was under orders to bring Josie to Arrianna.

So now she dragged the Lieutenant into the Viceroy's cabin. "as ordered." She announced all but throwing the woman at Arri's feet.

There were two Arrianna's in the room. Both wearing the same black dress. "Torture them, Arrianna." Mirror Arrianna gave Arri an Agonizer. "Yes... I will torture them." It was unreal. Arri's eyes kept on zig-zagging like she was trapped in her own mind. Arri plunged the agonizer into one of the women.

"Good girl, Arrianna. Torture her some more."

The Josephine from the MU stood and watched as her mirror was tortured.

Josie on the other hand screamed and begged Arri to stop. "Stop it Commander! Please!" She curled on the ground.

"Jo.... seph.... ine...." Arri shook and held her head.

Mirror Arri spoke. "Your free will is gone. You will serve me, slave..." Arri screamed. "My tendrils are deep inside you. Soon I'll weaken the rest of your ships telepaths and do the same to them. That was always my intention when I filled your thoughts with endless agony." Arri screamed some more and then grabbed Josie again. "I must obey... I must be good." Arri stated.

"You--- you are good" Josie got out as pain again flooded her. "Commander please! You saved me remember!?!arggh!"

"Saved... you.... You... friend??" Arri asked.

"You have no friends, Slave. Remember what I said. You are empty and you will stay that way."

"I... have friend? You... lie?" Arri held her head again.

"no.. no never lied... remember you found me... in the past... you got me home! You brought me back... please commander remember..!" Josie reached out and grabbed her hand. "Commander please!"

"I saved you... I wanted to save your career... I wanted to save you. I like you. You like books... I like books. You like dogs... I like dogs..." Arrianna turned towards Mirror Arrianna.

"What are you... YOU OBEY ME!! SLAVE!!" Mirror Arri screamed.

"You like pain...." Arrianna walked towards Mirror Arri. "Maybe you should live pain."

Mirror Arri recoiled. "No. Stop her..." Arrianna plunged the agonizer into her double.

"You like to make people suffer. Lets see if you like suffering." blood came out of Arri's nose. "You like to kill... Let's see how you like dying." Arrianna screamed loudly as her eyes locked on Mirror Arrianna.

Mirror Arrianna began screaming in pain.

"I'm going to make you feel every moment of pain you've unleashed on me and my crew." Mirror Arrianna screamed in pure pain as Arri flooded her mind with intense agony.

"It's your turn to suffer now. You should have left well enough alone. You should not have made me hurt my friend Josephine." Arrianna looked at Mirror Carlyle too. If Mirror Carlyle knew what fear was, this was the moment.

Josephine began to back away. "Under orders!" She yelled in panic.

Everyone in the room heard the wild psionic rampage. *I HATE YOU!!!*

"I HATE YOU ALL!!!" Arrianna screamed at the top of her lungs.

Before Josephine Carlyle, she had never seen such suffering. Arrianna tore into Mirror Arrianna's mind and began tearing, ripping. Mirror Arri began screaming like a wild Animal She drew her knife and began cutting herself. "That's what you deserve you monster. Stab yourself!!!'

Josie scrambled up off the floor and flung herself at her chief of science. "No Commander!" She wrapped her arms around Arri and held on tight. "You are not her!" She said in Arri's ear. "do not let her make you like her."

Arrianna calmed down, Mirror Arrianna just stopped. Completely lobotomized, She was not dead, but she was no longer alive.

Arrianna began sobbing in Josie's arms. "I hate them....." Her destroyed mental control began reforming, because she took it from the Vegetable right in front of all the women in the room who witnessed this torturer get her comeuppance. "I hate them..." She cried.

Josie pulled her down to the floor and held her tight. "I know" she said softly. "I know, I hate them too but we cannot let them make us like them, they win then." She soothed Arri and rocked. "Its ok"

Josephine made a sound then, which drew Josie's eyes. She glared at her mirror who was frozen in fear.

Arrianna swallowed her tears and then turned towards Mirror Josephine and spoke in her usual calm voice. "Barbarian I suggest you surrender. I do not want to have to want to kill you. But I warn you, I'm still quite enraged. You now owe your alternate your life, pray to your heathen gods I do not lose control again. Or you'll become a carrot too."

Josephine bit her lip. "I.. am not going to do anything.. she sent me to the booths for two turns, You wont hear anything from me."

Josie, arms still around Arri said "Remove our collars."

Josephine moved quickly to do so.

Once both collars clattered to the ground, Josie picked one up and weighed it in her hand. "Hmm they are expecting a collared Arri and a collared Josephine."

Arri looked at Mirror Josephine. "Get out of your clothes." Arri was already in the same black dress as her alternate.

Josephine did so swiftly piling them at Arri's knees

"Now, Barbarian. Run away... hide... I don't care. Just make yourself sparse. I... have had... enough of.... YOU!!! TERRAN!!!!!" Arri looked at her.

She fled, running without looking back.

Arri then looked at Josephine. "We must become our alternates, in order to save our ship and crew. Put her uniform on. We will then find the Captain and Liberate our crew."

Josie nodded. "Of Course"

"Josephine..." Arri said. "Please join me for dinner when we survive this."

"That would be nice." She gently touched Arri's shoulder. "Are you ok?" she asked softly.

"Yes... yes... You saved me Josephine..." She stated. "Josie, when this is over, I want to get to know you better."

The smile from Josie was slightly shy. "Would be nice, Arri."

"I know what they're after; the Elysium's Quantum Slipstream Drive. We must liberate our crew and the Captain from this place immediately." Arri noted. "Now, we need to get into character, Josie." Arri breathed.

"Lets go peon. Or I'll have you dumped into the agony booth for four sessions." Arri winked at Josie with a slight smirk.

"Of course Viceroy." She replied straightening her back and pulling her hair from its twist to let it hang like her Mirror did. "Lead on."
