Mission: Season 4: Episode 2: Rest And Relaxation
Location: Counselor's Office
Timeline: Current
1430 words - 2.9 OF Standard Post Measure

Victor watched Tonya to go see Doctor Tate Sullivan. He always place the welfare of others above his own. This Tonya was this reality version of his late wife. She has had four engagements but they never happen because all four were killed before the wedding ever happened. Tonya sister Mira asked Victor if he would not pursue her to marry her but just have her there because it seems the only thing that gave her stability was having Victor and Lara around.

Victor asked the one sitting at the desk. "I am here for my appointment."

“Victor” Alicia appeared behind him with a smile. “Now there’s timing! Come on in and have a seat.”

"Thank you Counselor," Victor answers with an aristocratic nod. He sits down observing Alicia.

Sitting in her own seat Alicia paused to sip her ginger tea, morning sickness was playing her up somewhat but she had to work. “How is Lara?”

"Lara is quite well," Victor says as he smells the ginger tea. "We have had a few changes in the family. Lara is now a member of the crew. She is Acting Scientist Mate. Plus this reality version of my late wife is on board. Lots to say there plus I just found out I have a three year old son. Captain Mira King who since my wife and her sister's death, we have been there for each other. Well one time it seem I got her pregnant but that Mira did not tell me. She was up for Captaincy. So she decides to leave little Victor with her parents. When the timeline restored, the little boy shows up at Tonya and Mira's parents. And the last change is I finally know who my father is. It is Commander Pyotr Zhukov. Her serves on the USS Borodino."

“Wow! That’s a lot of changes!” Alicia looked surprised. “So how do you feel about it all?”

"Well I rehearsed early what I was going to say to you," Victor breathed out. "I am always calculating what I do. That is why when I do something spontaneous, I feel joy. But now I just want to make sure I sm doing the right thing. I did not calculate that one day the timeline would be restored and I find myself in a brand new one."

“Perhaps relaxing might help some, you can lie down if you want to. That’s why I offer the couch if people want it.” Alicia smiled warmly.

"Yes laying down will help me to relax," Victor says as he laid on the proverbial counselor's couch. "So like I said, am I doing the right thing Counselor."

“That’s not for me to say one way or the other” Alicia paused to sip her tea. “Sorry ... morning sickness, the tea helps.” She smiled. “All I can say is go carefully, don’t rush things. Everything will hopefully work itself out in the end.”

"I hope so for everyone's sake," Victor replies. "Hope I do not fall asleep. When I get so relax when I lay down, I fall asleep quickly. When I feel anxiety as I try to calculate outcomes as I lay down, I stay up for awhile. May I call you Alicia? Tonya here is unlike the one I knew. Her hair is different, she reacts differently but she still is very sweet. The other Tonya would have never given me a hall pass to see others."

“Do you find yourself attracted to this version of your wife?” Alicia looked at Victor curiously.

"I am only human and I could see myself being seduced but I am not pursuing," Victor says calmly. "I have only been with two women. One feels content but I do have needs but my chivalry always prevents me to doing something spontaneous with someone I just met."

“Well that’s probably for the best” She smiled warmly. “It gives you a chance to get to know this version of Tonya, to date her if you want to and see where it goes. Take it slow and steady, see how it progresses. To rush into it could be a big mistake for both of you.” She paused. “What about Lara? How is she taking meeting Tonya?”

"She is thrilled as well as Tonya," Victor says smiling. "It is a win win. I do say she less time reading and more time talking to Tonya. It is like they are best friends. Seeing my daughter this happy about someone else gives me a satisfaction I am sure I am doing the right thing. She did call my father this morning, her Aunt Mira and my sister Nichelle. She is finally being a little girl."

“That sounds wonderful” Alicia grinned.

"I do not know if it will slow down her studies but she will now have a childhood," Victor says, "Tonya was a child prodigy too as well as Mira."

“What about you? She does get a lot of her genes from you as well you know!” Alicia gave Victor a warm smile.

"Oh I was smart as well but there was an older boy on the ship named Wesley who the other children felt intimidated by," Victor answers. "I just did not boist my knowledge. While others talk about what they are going to do, I just take action."

“Well I hope you consider things first? Leaping straight in isn’t always the way to go. Some things require a certain amount of thinking about.”

"Family motto is to take action," Victor says smiling. "I do consider things. There are times when you need to ask permission to get authorization bad then there times you just need to for it now and explain later."

“That’s true” Alicia nodded in agreement.

"You know what I find fascinating about this reality," Victor says, "One may fantasize what it would be like if you did not exist. Now I know. Only sad thing is that where I made a difference no longer matters with the exception of my daughter and my sister. Not having a father growing up caused me to be the man of the family. "

“But now you get to experience life anew here.” Alicia smiled. “Enjoy it and see how it goes. You’ve started off slow just don’t rush into anything, any problems you can come back and discuss it with me.”

"That is very kind of you," Victor nods. "Lara will see you later today. As I said earlier, Tonya is seeing the one. The only we have not discussed is my father. Nothing to discuss yet. He said he had to go help a JAG officer."

“Interesting, well if you need to talk about your father at a later time we can. I’ll look forward to seeing Lara, it’s all good practice for my own children.” She grinned.

"If there is anything more," Victor says laying down. "I can be going."

“If you’re happy for now then I’m happy, unless there’s anything else you need to discuss?” Alicia looked at Victor curiously.

Victor thought for a moment. "Well we could talk about me having a son now but I am still trying to grasp it. Plus the fact Mira in the other Reality did not tell me about it. Plus I have not talked to my mother yet. Everything is happening too fast and I just have to take care of what is happening now. I would be opened to have him coming to live with me but I would have to discuss it with Mira and her parents."

“That’s a good idea, talk with them and see how it goes. Plus you’d also need to get to know your son first.” Alicia paused. “For him to live with a man he doesn’t know yet is a big upheaval for your son as well as you.”

"Well I can not procrastinate on that," Victor exhales. "Logically he should come live with me because Mira is a Captain. That might sound like a sexist remark but if she was the Lieutenant and I was the Captain, I would say he should live with her plus the two children should be together."

“True but give it some time. Talk it over.” Alicia smiled.

"Indeed," Victor says sitting up. "May I see you in a week or so. I like talking to you."

Alicia grinned. “It would be my pleasure Victor.”

"Thank you," Victor responds standing up. "Till we meet again."

“Until then” Alicia nodded politely.
