Mission: MISSION 0 - History Speaks
Location: Intelligence Suite
1543 words - 3.1 OF Standard Post Measure

Siora had been getting herself acquainted with the ship, the usual getting of bearings, people who might be of us. Striking up a conversation as innocent as it may be at the start can go a long way to becoming quite useful later on down the line.

The intelligence suite was always going to be her final destination, as that is where she was going to spend the majority of her time. As she entered she saw is was quite busy, people at their desks scouring through reports, through communiques and the like for the hint of something nefarious, something useful to ongoing investigations and what not. Most of them did not look up on her arrival but they knew she was there. Those in intelligence were always observant, even if they did not appear to be watching at all.

As Siora moved further into the room she noticed the slim figure hugging a more main display to the rear of the room, a command table if you like. "See anything interesting?" Siora asked as she slid up to the table.

“Actually,” M’Tuuri purred, glancing up from the screen before idly flicking the contents away from view. “Yesss...” She hummed politely, talking more about the new woman before her than the original question. “But then again, time will tell I supurrse.”

Claws clicked as she stood, pressing off from the cold metal table with her paws. “Wouldn’t you agrrree, Lieutenant...” She smiled, a false smile that served no purpose other than to flash her fangs.

"Impressive teeth." Siora spoke appreciatively and squinted her eyes to focus on them. "Love Caitains." she added before focusing back on the woman's eyes. "Carberos. Siora Carberos. Nice to meet you, Lieutenant Sh'iss."

The compliment had been the last thing she expected, causing her to quickly pull her black and pink lips over her teeth. “Purrlease, call me M’Tuuri...” She added, straining to keep her voice pleasant as she flicking out a paw, keeping her claws on show but out the way should she return the offered handshake.

"Ah." Siora said taking the woman's paw. "Nice to meet you M'Tuuri, Siora works for me. I do not care for titles, just for getting a job done." she smiled. "An impressive suite we have here. Is everyone usually so quiet?" she asked.

She shook her hand briefly, retrieving her paw and placing it behind her with the other. "Can't listen to purr quality intercepted communications if you're talking now can you, it's meticulous work... requires the utmost concentration... most purrfer to do it in the comfort of their own quartersss... but since you're here," She paused, gesturing around the Intelligence Suite. "Ssso is everyone else."

"I am more than happy for them to do their work where ever they feel is best, as long as the results from that are positive." Siora said as she faced the group in from. "I appreciate the show of respect for meeting your new Chief, I am looking forward to working together but if you feel your work is best done elsewhere then I am happy for you to do so." she said as she addressed the room. "I am accessible to you all at any time you need me to be. Do not be afraid to call on me. Thank you for your attention." she said before looking back at M'Tuuri as she heard a few shifting of bodies.

"I've read the reports, they do good work. I see no need for me to make drastic changes."

"Good to know..." M'Tuuri said idly, glancing quietly at the entrance to the Intelligence suite. "Sssay, have you been to the bridge yet?" She asked curiously.

Siora shook her head. "I haven't, but I am eager to see the part of the bridge we are to hold." she answered. "I have only seen the layout on specs."

"You make it sssound like you need to be invited..." M'Tuuri teased, tapping Siora on the shoulder with the back of her paw as she walked passed, heading for the door. "Come on, I need to be up there anyway... purrlus, you won't get much of a conversssation out of this lot." She added, gliding silently across the Intelligence suite, her tail tucked lightly at the tip.

Siora laughed a little at M'Turri's comment. She did make it sound like that but in truth she had just not had the time to go there yet. "Sounds like fun." She said following her towards the door as she commented on the quietness of the staff. "Duly noted, sometimes I do like a little buzz around a place, or a purr? Do you purr?" she asked. "Sorry if that is personal... sometimes the filter in my brain is slow to stop me from asking stupid questions..."

"I do, but you've either done sssomething very wrong or very right for that to happurrn." M'Tuuri replied somewhat cryptically, exiting into the corridor.

A small nod came from Siora. "Well I hope to never do anything to make you purr in the wrong way." she teased a little as they walked. She was truthful about what she had said, Caitains truly fascinated her and had made a great impression on her during her life up until now. It had in fact been years since she had met another, 35 years ago if she recalled right.

With this, she let out what only could be described as a hyena-like laugh or chitter, her growling throat rumbling darkly down the corridor. "That better not be a purromise, or I'll hold you to it." She growled, already enjoying the woman's company more than her last CO.

The chitter threw chills down Siora's back and she almost grinned ear to ear. "Oh well, I try not to make promises I cannot keep. Who knows, I may make you purr for a very right reason." she flirted. Sometimes she could not help herself.

Siora was a free spirit in who she liked, and they came in all shapes, sizes, races and genders, some even without a recognised one. She loved to flirt as it gave her great joy to make others feel the good feeling that came with being on the receiving end of such compliments or comments.

M'Tuuri turned around as Siora spoke, continuing to walk backwards down the hallway. "You keep sssaying things like that and you could get into trrrouble Lieutenant..." She grinned, turning back around as they approached a turn.

"Little trouble never hurt anyone," Siora admitted. "How do you think I got this awesome scar?" she asked as she pulled her jacket open to show a slim fitting tank top, but more so the large scar on her left shoulder. It was a little off-colour, deep and still caused her discomfort from time to time.

"I could give you more if you'd like..." M'Tuuri teased, her bright pink tongue getting caught briefly between her black lips. "even you out a bit." She added as they approached the turbolift.

Siora laughed as they walked in. "Maybe not one as bad as this and I may consider it." she said as she closed her jacket back over her body.

"Bridge," M'Tuuri growled as the doors shut. "Well, I keep a dermal regenerator by my bed for a reason." She hinted, leaning back against the wall of the capsule.

"I will be sure to remember that." Siora grinned. "I keep one beside mine too but for different reasons." she said as she noted in her own mind the scrapes she would get into.

M'Tuuri let out a small chuckle at this, idly rubbing a paw against her right ear. "Sssounds like you would enjoy spurring with the marines." She mused, licking the back of her hand before rubbing it against the ridge of her nose.

"Oh please... it's not so much sparring than knocking them down until they do not get back up again." Siora said quite happy with herself as she watched M'Tuuri licking her hand. "One thing I have learned is that they tend to come at you like a Vulcan in heat... which isn't always a bad thing." She smiled mischievously.

"Oh no..." She frowned. "I couldn't wait that long, I'd get rrrather bored." She added with a smirk as the doors to the bridge opened.

"Now you can take the turbolift directly to the blister below," She purred over her shoulder as she tip toed out. "But the replicator is up here, and I want a coffee..."

"Totally agree. 7 years is far too long... sometimes 7 minutes is too." Siora said as she got lost in her own imagination for a moment before shaking her head back to reality. "I'll let you get a coffee, but I'll walk down to the blister. It'll give me a chance to take the bridge in as well."

M'Tuuri simply nodded before silently walking off, heading to the small alcove that housed the replicator and typing her request in rather than speaking.

Siora headed down towards the lower deck and as she entered smiled. This space was shared with Strategic Operations but still she had what looked like the lions share. Oh the possibilities were flying through her mind, this was going to be fun.
