"Captain's Log, Stardate 74028.53" Phoenix stood looking at the stars that were now stationary as they were docking with SB 1. "We have recovered our missing away team. we lost one member in that away team while they were trapped on the planet Quell’ish. Private Christian Laknema's remains were not recovered, they were scattered to atoms when the runabout was destroyed. I have made sure a note of commendation has been entered into his file and Colonel Naxea will organise notification. When she recovers from her wounds and Doctor Sthilg allows her out of medical. I have yet to be updated on her current status but rumour is that it is not as bad as one would fear. I will be recommending commendations for our fighter pilots for without them, Elysium would most likely be atoms. The enemy we faced... they were more advanced than us... or they were more willing to use force than conversation."

"All of our scans and data from the battle and contact have been compiled and sent to Starfleet Command. It is my hope that, any other vessels sent to Quell'ish will be better prepared. As it is, we are not able to use this planet as a forward starbase or any sort of recon area. Our new acquaintances seem to have claimed it. The Away team will be ordered into counselling and debriefing. As will the rescue team, Starfleet need all the information they can get on this race. And I have been informed that they have sent enquiries to other powers, the Klingons and Romulan remnants to see if they know of this race. We shall see if they had any information."

"In other news, the crew seem to be handling the QSD jumps better, the fact that we were able to jump mid battle speaks well for the drive, though I am sure to hear from Ensign Derani that she did not get the chance to do it. I am sure that chance will arise in the future. I have also asked for more armaments to be stored on the ship. I know we have a stock pile but this battle diminished it."

"I have been ordered to grant shore leave to the crew. Which is strange because they just had it. Commodore Mountbatten told me they want to interview all crew before they let us leave again. We shall see, seems fishy, as humans say to me. But orders are orders."

"Damage repair teams are working on the Eysium, and I want special devises installed to stop the sound feedback loop like we suffered at the hands of those aliens. Several crew had to have medical attention after that event, and the Andorians on board suffered extremely. I have been informed that several are still on pain medications from it. I have, had that medication added to the bridge First aide kits for just in case events. And I am asking that all crew who do a bridge shift be trained in basic first aide. When I checked, several had let their qualifications lapse. This is not acceptable. Comms to these have been sent. "
