Lily Kass, stood silent on the bridge of the Black Watch as it glided home to its base that orbited Illumith. Illumith was a dense jungle world, which was a haven for smugglers and the worst dregs of the galaxy. The asteroid they called home was empty, and soon the crew would fill its rough stone hewed corridors once more. It was not home. But it would do. For now.

She hated this. Hated sneaking around, but this mission needed them to sneak around.

"Jaxon, could you not run us into the asteroid?" She asked as the Black Watch turned to match the speed and pace with their asteroid.

"Yeah yeah" the Betazoid at helm replied. "Look you know this is not easy right Lils?"

She rolled her eyes. "Yeah come on, i could crash us blindfolded."

"Be my Guest" he replied as the hanger came into view.

Mattias entered the small bridge, his ever present cigar, unlit at the moment, sticking out the right corner of his mouth. “We there yet?” He asked in his usual dark tone.

"Patience Sunshine, almost there." Malakai said from the First Officer's station and then looked at Jaxon. "Don't crash us."

"You guys wanna fly this crate?" Jaxon said over his shoulder.

Gwynn from the weapons console smirked "I could shoot some of the smaller asteroids out of your way Jaxon if that helps."

"Shut it Gwynn" He replied and the ship cruised closer to the asteroid. "Hmm"

"Hmm?" Lily asked as she stood there. "Hmmm what?"

"Ah.. nothing, just a small tremor in our starboard engine. Remind me to get Xav to check it."

Lily rolled her eyes.

Mattias leaned against the rear bulkhead and crossed his arms over his chest, his tattoos peaking out from the raised shirt sleeves. “Great, Tinkerbell is gonna get us all killed. Boss, you sure we couldn’t get a cadet to fly the ship?”

"When you pass your pilots exam big guy, let me know" Jaxon said as he brought the ship into the hanger.

Lily turned and looked at Mattias and smiled. "Come on Mattias, do not be such a stick in the dirt" She got the saying wrong as she normally did with human expressions.

"Mud. Captain." Malakai corrected gently as he usually did. "It's stick in the mud. However with Mattias, dirt works just as well."

Matthias just grumbled as he turned and left the bridge. “I’m gonna kill somebody soon...”

"you will get your chance!" Lily called after him. "Just no blowing holes in the ship!"

"Or us." Malakai added before looking at Lily, "I don't want to be in front of him when he goes off. Not going to be pretty."

"Seen worse" She replied. "We need him. He is one of the best."

Malakai nodded, "I don't doubt his ability. It's his attitude if you will. He's walking a tightrope."

Lily shrugged. "We shall see." She looked at Jaxon."We good?"

"Hanger bay is pressurized, Life support is active. We are good Lills."

Lilly nodded and hit the comm. "OKay, we are docked and clear to exit. Go get settled in guys."

Malakai was already up and moving. "Home sweet home if only." He muttered but instead of leaving he turned and headed for the medical bay and Kara.

Jaxon and Gwynn headed out, leaving Lilly alone on the bridge. She sighed and closed her eyes for a moment. "A' win, be ringwe vee' khelek" She reminded herself. Then she turned and left the bridge and paused in the Gallery to grab boxes. They needed to stock the base.

Mattias stepped up, grabbing one of the larger boxes. “Where these going, Boss?” His tone was a little softer than before. Though only a little.

Lily looked at the box. "Galley. Basic replicator rechargers that Xavier ordered." She gave him a grin. "So you can help out huh?"

Shrugging slightly, there was a slight glint in his eyes. “Depends on who’s asking’. Just keep Tinkerbell away from me, okay?”

She laughed and waved him ahead of her. ""No promises. You will want him close if we come under fire and need a quick get away."

Hefting the box, Mattias headed towards the loading area. “Yeah, yeah, those flyboys all think their exhaust ports don’t stink. Let’s see how he does down in the mud, where the real work of fighting is done.” Pausing before heading down the ramp, he turned his eyes towards Lily. “Thanks for this, though. I mean it. I won’t let you down.”

"I know you won't" She said honestly. Lily hefted her box. "Let's get this unpacked. And maybe we will get our jobs done before the rest and you can trounch me at Poker."

A slight grin cracked Mattias’ dark veneer. “You bring the beer, I’ll bring the butt whooping’. And don’t think you’ll get out of paying this time. You still owe me from the last three games you lost.” As he started down the gangway and entered the base, he shifted the box in his hands, reached into his right front pants pocket, pulled out his lighter and fired up his cigar. Once it was lit, he continued on to his destination.

Lily snorted and sniffed "Lost my foot, I let you win." She muttered at his back but smirked and ducked under the trail of smoke and headed to store her boxes.

Meanwhile Malakai had drawn closer to the medical bay. "He called out as he drew near, "Hey Florence Nightingale, you around?"

Kara poked her head around the doorway of the Medway. “Of course I’m around, where else would I be!?” She gave Malakai a quick up and down look before stepping back inside. “You know if you want me to be able to do my job properly this tub is going to need a serious re-stock on medical supplies!!” She walked back around the doorway with a PADD in her hand thrusting it at him. “Here’s a full list of everything I need.”

He took the PaDD and gave it a look. He grunted in disapproval of some of the items on the list but said nothing. After a fashion he put the PaDD in his pocket. "I'll give it to Lily." He told Kara. "Now come up front. We've arrived and we need to move some boxes."

“Why in the hell are you asking me to move boxes!?” Kara gave Malakai a disapproving look. “You’re the one with the Braun Malakai not me!”

"Save the attitude Kara. I'm not asking you. Lily is and you can carry a tiny eenie weenie box." He teased her. "We don't want you chipping a nail."

“Ohh ha, ha!!” Kara shook her head as she walked past her ex-lover giving him a rear look of the figure he was now missing out on. They’d been on and off for years. “Move your backside then we’ve got work to do!”

"Just waiting on you Princess." Malakai teased back. Being reunited with Kara brought back very pleasant memories and he knew for certain that he did truly love her.

Kara stopped walking and turned around before leaning against a bulkhead. “Missed me that much you’ve gotta start calling me Princess again huh?” She grinned a wry grin. “I didn’t think you were interested in me anymore Malakai”

He decided to fess up and come clean. "I have missed you Kara, a great deal. Seeing you again made me realize how much I missed you, how much I need you and how much I love you." He finished quietly.

Kara’s tough exterior act fell away as she heard the words, she walked towards him pausing to look into his eyes before throwing her arms around his neck and kissing him with a fire that she had been holding onto for a very long time.

His arms came up and encircled her. Bringing her close to him. Malakai kissed her again and again, peppering her neck and throat with kisses along with her full lips. "I love you Kara." He whispered.

Kara encouraged every move “I love you too Malakai” She didn’t wait a second longer, grabbing his hand she pulled him into the medical storage room closing the door behind them. She’d waited long enough, she wasn’t willing to wait any longer. Her hands pulled at his shirt unbuttoning just enough to get it over his head before her hands moved to his belt, button and zip.

"Kara..." He whispered even as his hand were busy. His fingers unbuttoned her blouse, pulling it open and down off her shoulders before moving to unhook her bra exposing her perky breasts and pink nipples. "Beautiful." He whispered before his hands dropped to fumble at her own belt.

Kara’s fingers slid down under the waistband of Malakai’s briefs, touching and caressing him before pushing off his briefs as well. She was ready for him and she didn’t plan on stopping anytime soon. “Take me Malakai ... now!”

"Yes." He agreed. Not wasting another second as he complied with Kara's urgent wish. Even as he did, he kissed her again and again, knowing he had found his one true forever love.

Kara held onto Malakai as he made love to her, returning his kisses with passion until their mutual pleasure reached its zenith. Coming down off her high Kara smiled as she looked into Malakai’s eyes. “Why did we ... ever stop being together?” She kissed him one more time before extracting herself from his grip and quickly getting dressed. “They’re going to wonder where we are.” She paused long enough to pull him closer for one more passionate kiss.

"We were stupid or I was but no more." Malakai answered as he got dressed as well. He brought her close again and kissed her. The kiss saying just how much he loved her and needed her.

Kara returned the kiss. “We’ll continue this at your place tonight.”

As they emerged from the storage room Kara was surprised to see Mattias hovering outside the door, her big brother had caught her in the act. “Mattias ... how long have you been out here?”

Mattias' hard eyes softened slightly when he saw Kara. But then rehardened when Malakai exited the storeroom as well. "Long enough," he said gruffly as he shoved off the bulkhead and headed towards the stack of boxes.. picking a few up, he turned and moved back past the couple, an air of dissapointment and anger coming off of him. "Boss wants this shit inventoried and stowed." He said as he continued towards the staircase leading down to the lower deck. "You two done playing doctor, maybe you could help." It was clear that he disapproved of what had just happened.

Kara sighed, she loved her brother but she also knew how he felt about her being with Malakai. She’d been hurt by Malakai before. “Mattias ... wait!” She picked up a small stack of boxes and followed on behind but not before giving Malakai a kiss on the cheek.

Malakai sighed in despair. He loved Kara, truly loved her. Her brother Mattias was different. He was over protective and acted like her father, not a brother. Personally Malakai had no problem with Mattias well none up to now. He moved forward, picked up a box and muttered "Freaking great."

Kara could feel the waves of emotion coming from both men, she was bunked with Mattias so it would give her time to talk to him before she headed over to spend the evening with Malakai.

Mattias was about to walk down the loading ramp when he heard his sister call after him. He almost kept going, but, his better angels made him wait. There were only two women in the entire galaxy that could make him pause. And it was just his luck that they were both on this ship. Exhaling heavily through his nose, he finally called back. "Well, hurry up then! Ain't got all day!"

Kara smiled as she caught up with Mattias, “You’re mad at me, you know I hate it when you’re mad at me.”

"Yeah?"Mattias growled as he started moving sgain, forcing his baby sister to keep up with him. "How many times, Kara? Huh? How many times are you gonna fall for Mister Personality's antics, only to get your heart broken again?" He stopped short. "You, know, I’ve killed men who've done a lot less than hurt my little sister, repeatedly. I just..i just don't know what you expect me to do here!" He started to storm off again, forcing Kara to hurry up to catch him.

Malakai deliberately slowed his pace to give Kara a chance to talk to her brother. He didn't want to cause problems between them but he wasn't going to stop seeing Kara because Mattias had a problem with it.

Kara saw Malakai hanging back so she could talk to Mattias. “Matt please! You’ve looked out for me so many times, and I’m grateful for that I really am but ... I love him! I know it’s crazy, but he’s sworn it’s different this time and it’s not a lie. I’d have sensed it if it was.” Reaching where they needed to go she dropped down her boxes as they turned to head back for more.

After they put down the boxes they were carrying, Mattias put a hand on Kara's left shoulder, stopping her movements. "Kara," he said softly, taking the cigar out of his mouth. "Listen, if he truely makes you happy, then you know I am overjoyed for you. All I want us for you to be loved and cared for like you deserve to be. We've been through too much pain, you and me. Since we have no ideas where dad is, we are all we've got." He pulled her into a warm embrace.

As he held her, he spoke into her ear. "You know I love you, Sis. You drive me crazy sometimes, but I still love ya!" Moving her back out to arm's reach and looked pointedly into her eyes. "This is the last chance he gets. He breaks your heart again and a legion of Borg would be able to keep me from killing him. Understand?"

Malakai saw Kara and Mattias hug even though he couldn't hear the words they exchanged and he wasn't sure he wanted to truth be told. He slowed even more as to give them space and time to finish whatever they were discussing. Ten to one it was him.

Kara smiled and nodded. “I understand. You’ve saved my ass more than once, if it wasn’t for you on that last assignment...” she paused it was painful just to think how close she came to being forced upon. “If you hadn’t found me when you did...” She offered a smile. “I’ll talk to Malakai tonight.”

Mattias worked his jaw, remembering the night his little suster was nearly raped by that Klingon enforcer. He could still hear her screams. The klingon in question was found much later. Or, to be more accurate, his head had been found, with his sexual organs stuffed into his mouth.

"I will always be there for you, Kara." He pulled her in for another hug. "I love you, little girl." He was the only person alive who Kara allowed to call her a little girl.

Kara hugged her brother, they’d been close since the day she was first fostered into his family before finally being adopted. “I love you too big brother.”

Once they seperated, Mattias started back to the ship. He paused, giving Malakai a long, hard, look. He then moved back into the ship to grab more supplies.

Kara waited for Malakai to catch her up, “I guess you know what that was about, my brother is protective you know that” she smiled as she waited for him to put down his boxes.

Malakai nodded as he put down the boxes he was carrying. "Protective? Is putting it mildly Kara. He is super protective. Do I need to sleep with one eye open?"

“No I’ll do that for you” Kara grinned a wry grin indicating that she was going to be right there in his bed with him.

"Now, that I like." Malakai replied, "When do you plan on doing this?" As far as he was concerned there was no time like the present.

Kara smiled. “Once these boxes are all taken care of I’m all yours!” She ran her fingers over his chest. “You’ll have my undivided attention all night.”

"Then lets get busy!" He replied enthusiastically, as he kissed her hand. "I hope for a lot longer than just tonight Kara."

“Then we’ll have to work on it won’t we?” Kara smiled a wry smile as they both got back to work.

Around them the rest of the crew hauled boxes from the cargo hold, and joked about.

Sasha, the crew's Information broker stood off to the side reading a PADD and vaguely directing Xavier with an absent hand.

Xavier was rolling his eyes and digging in a crate before yelling at Jaxon for breaking the Black Watch.

The pilot, walking past with food crates, sneered and blamed Xavier for bad engineering skills.

Anna, Clara and Gwynn helped Joshua haul out weapons and munitions to the storage and Anna kept a listing of where things were going.

Mattias stepped up back into the loading area and grabbed his weapons crates off of one of the stacks and carried them to the room he figured would be the arms room. Then, he started sorting and storing the various weapons and ammunition that the team brought him.

Clara brought in a box and placed it on the ground. "I see Kass got us grenades" she said. "Marine specials."

Mattias looked over the case markings. "Photon, incendiary and stun. Very nice!" Looking back to Clara. "Keep it comin. I know there's more toys in that rust bucket."

"Yeah, seems like Kass raided a Starfleet armory." Joshua said as he entered with a large crate. "Sniper rifles, and more."

Mattias perked up. "Did you say sniper rifles? Now, are talkin last year's design, or the brand new tech?" He was clearly getting excited.

Joseph opened the crate and pulled one out. "New Tech." He said handing it to Mattias. "Kass knows her team, She didn't skimp,... except in Medical stuff. Kara gave Malakai a list." He smirked.

Mattias reached out for the brand new TR-115A2. A hleaming reminder of why he loved guns. Supposedly, Starfleet R&D had not only increased the firepower of the energy beam, by using a new fractal design on the emitter crystal, but, they had extended its maximum effective range from 1000 meters to nearly 1800 meters. He knew exactly hom Phoenix, or Lily, to the team, had pulled off this little wonder. He would have to thank her later.

Clara gave a low whistle. "Nice... very very nice."

Malakai walked up, "Look Clara, you'll just shoot your toes off. So don't play with the big kids toys." He searched Lily out and walked over to her. "Got a list from Kara in regards to medical supplies. I think she is under the impression we're on a Sovereign class starship." As he handed her the PaDD containing Kara's list.

Clara gave Malakai's back a dark look.

Lily took the list and looked it over "Well.. I will see what i can get." She said. "We may need to 'raid' someone."

" That works or as I like to say extended borrowing." Malakai replied.

"I'll Look into it, Sasha has some targets out there. And it will help us with our cover," Lily said.

Malakai nodded, "Very good Captain.'

Lily turned towards the armory room. "Mattias! You, Joseph and Clara make sure the Black Watch armory is stocked well."

Grinning an evil grin, Mattias replied. "Yes, Ma'am!" He then looked at Joseph and Clara. "You heard her, kids, lets get this toy shop fully stocked and ready for customers!"

Joshua and Clara grinned. "Aye!" They laughed and began sorting through things.

"Sasha! I need a target with great medical supplies!" She added.

"On it." the red head replied and sat on a crate that Jaxon and Xavier had been about to lift. she ignored them and began scanning her information.

Jaxon and Xavier exchanged looks then picked up the crate with Sasha on it and carried it towards the Engineering supply room.
