Mission: Darkness Rising - A Phoenix Lalor Sub Plot
Location: Malakai's Quarters
Timeline: Prior to the wedding

Malakai escorted Kara to his quarters. Once there and inside he told her. "Make yourself comfortable Kara, these are your quarters as well now."

Kara nodded and looked around. “I’m not used to this much space, I’m used to sharing a bunk room with Mattias.” She offered a brief smile.

As she talked he walked over to the desk and opened a drawer and unseen to her, pulled out an ancient cassette player, turned it on and cued up the song hr wanted. "Kara." He said as the music began, "This is how I feel about you and then began to sing with the song.

As he sang, he danced, holding his hands out for her to join him. Feeling totally at ease and happy with Kara. He had screwed up earlier in their relationship but no more. They were together, a couple as it was meant to be.

Kara couldn’t help but smile as she watched Malakai dancing, she hadn’t seen this side of him in a long time. “I can just imagine what Matt would say if he saw you now!” She joined him just as the music changed to a much slower more romantic song.

"I'm not interested in what the big galoot would say or think Kara. All I'm interested in is you and making you happy." Malakai replied as they continued to dance slowly in the middle of their quarters.

Kara smiled as she rested her head against Malakai’s shoulder as they danced. “Thank you for not asking earlier” she held onto him feeling safe in his embrace.

Malakai leaned back to look at her. "Your welcome Kara. I didn't think it was an appropriate time to ask." He replied simply. "And I'm not asking now. You tell me when you are ready."

Kara nodded as she looked up into his eyes, she simply looked for a few more moments before gently leaning closer and kissing him.

Malakai returned the kiss with equal gentleness. Right now all that mattered was Kara and her well being. Not the mission, not Lily or Mattias, not the Federation just Kara.

Taking Malakai by the hand Kara said nothing as she gently lead him towards the bedroom, right now all she wanted was to forget what happened and enjoy being together with Malakai again.

Malakai followed her willingly. All he wanted to do was care and protect Kara. To keep her safe from all harm and he would do his damnedest to make sure he did despite what Mattias might think.

Leading Malakai to the bed, Kara kissed him more passionately helping him off with his clothes whilst encouraging him to take off hers. She loved Malakai and this time she knew he wouldn’t leave her.

His kisses equaled hers in passion and desire as his fingers fumbled with the buttons to Kara's clothes but after a fashion they soon yielded and she was as naked as he was. Smiling, he kissed her rich full lips again and again.

Kara smiled as all that happened melted away the bond they once started to work on had fallen away but she hoped the rekindling of their love would finally allow Malakai to bond with her on a telepathic level. He wasn’t a Betazoid but the bond would still allow him to feel her emotions and hear her thoughts. Imzadi can you still hear my thoughts?

Malakai didn't reply at once he lay there silently for a moment before he replied. * Of course I can hear your Kara. I'm not deaf. I'm lying right next to you.* He teased her. Then waited for her reaction.

Kara looked at Malakai in surprise. “You can still hear my thoughts!” She showered him in kisses before sending telepathically again. Make love to me Malakai, make me yours again.

* Of course I can Kara* He replied with a smile then he continued the same way by adding, *Your wish is my command* As he rolled to face her. *Never again will we be apart.* He promised her.

Kissing him passionately Kara focussed herself on Malakai and Malakai alone, the rest of the universe didn’t exist except for the two of them. She revelled in his touch, and every sensation as they lost themselves in their passion.

For Malakai, he kissed Kara with a fire and passion he didn't know he possessed. He was attentive to every part of her body as he kissed her lips, neck throat all the while traveling farther downward but not sparing any attention as his kisses became even more passionate. His touch even more sensual. He wanted Kara to enjoy this as much as he did. After all this was all about them and making each other happy.

Kara encouraged Malakai’s every kiss, responding to his touch with sighs, and moans of pleasure. Opening her mind she conveyed her feelings to his mind letting him feel just what he was doing to her.

He could sense, feel and hear Kara's pleasure at his touch and that pleased him greatly. His mind was flooded with images of her pleasure along with her desire for him. He increased his advances wanting her to get the utmost out of their bonding.

Ohhh Malakai! Kara’s body writhed with pleasure as Malakai drove her over the edge, her climax conveyed through their bond allowing Malakai to feel it as well.

The intensity and force of Kara's thoughts assaulted him, bombarding him with her pleasure. It was something he hadn't expected and it overwhelmed him. Shuddered and shook and finally stiffened as he fell back and lay beside her unmoving for several seconds until he finally managed a weak "Wow."

“Malakai!!” Kara moved to be beside him concerned she’d inadvertently harmed the man she loved. “Are you alright!?”

Malakai lay unmoving except for the blinking of his eyes. "Wow." He repeated, shifting his eyes to see Kara's concerned face filling his field of vision. "Wow."

Kara smiled as she gently stroked his face. “I just ... wanted you to feel how you made me feel. The side effects will pass.”

"Well I hope you enjoyed it as much as I did." Malakai quipped "That was amazing." He replied. "Is it always going to be that um intense when we um you know."

“I’m sorry, I’ll try being a little less intense next time” Kara sighed feeling that maybe Malakai hadn’t appreciated the experience.

"NO! Absolutely not Kara. Don't hold back on anything. I was asking so I know what to expect. That's all." Malakai assured her.

Kara nodded and lay down to cuddle up with him. “I’m sorry, I’m just...” She ran her hands over her aching legs for the first time noticing bruises on the inside of her thighs from where she’d almost become the victim of a Klingon with evil revenge on his mind. The site was all it took for her break down in tears.

"Hey, hey, None of that." Malakai told her, "Your stronger than that." He said finally able to move. "Don't you have a dermal regenerator in Sickbay? If you do I can take care of these bruises, that's if you want me to."

Kara nodded, then pointed to a bag in the corner of the room. “There’s... one in there.” She wiped her eyes as she pulled herself together. Malakai was right she was stronger than this.

"Perfect." Malakai replied as he went to and opened the bag and brought out the regenerator. "Alright got it. Now lets get to regenerating." As he came back to Kara. "Anything special I need to do or know?" He asked.

Kara shook her head. “No, just turn it on and run it gently over.” She wiped away a few more tears as she allowed Malakai room to use the regenerator. “I almost became...” She shook her head. “You do know Matt isn’t going to give up that easy don’t you? He’ll go back there, he’ll make them pay just because of me!”

Malakai paused before he started to treat Kara's legs. "I know he isn't and he's going to get himself killed Kara. He goes off half cocked and won't listen to anyone."

“Except me, or Lily.” She sighed. “That’s why I’ve decided... it’s up to me! I have to take care of it, so Matt can’t.”

"Kara, are you crazy? don't answer that. I'll answer it. You must be if you think you can go and pull this off." Malakai replied firmly.

“Maybe I can’t, at least not now, but I know people who can!” She looked at Malakai. “I won’t lose my brother to some half cocked revenge plan! I just... need time to plan what I have to do.”

"You need more than a plan Kara. You need someone to go with you and help you pull this off." Malakai answered sternly.

“If you’re volunteering I’m saying no” She gently reached out and touched his face. “I don’t want to risk losing you. Whatever happens it can wait for now, we have a job to do here first. I’m not going to let Lily down.”

Malakai started to speak, stopped and nodded. "All right we'll wait and talk about this later. Promise me you won't do anything without talking to me first."

Kara nodded. “I promise! But only in so much as you don’t let my brother go off half cocked and get himself killed.” She smiled knowing just how much Malakai would enjoy that.

"It's a deal." Malakai answered quickly. He would enjoy stopping Mattias and his wild rampage, if it came to that.

“I thought you’d like that” Kara smiled as she motioned for Malakai to come closer. Wrapping her arms around his neck she kissed him lovingly.

"I do but I like this better." Malakai said as he encircled Kara with his arms and kissed her softly.

“Funnily enough so do I” Kara smiled the biggest smile yet. “You do know that I love you Malakai, I want this to be a permanent change for us. I don’t want anymore break ups Malakai.”

Malakai nodded, "I know Kara and I hope you know I love you as well. This is permanent. No more break ups, no more running away. I'm here for the long haul. Your stuck with me Kara."

Kara smiled the biggest smile yet. “Then when all this is over I want to marry you!”

"Okay." Malakai agreed. "I just have one question. Why wait?"

Kara gave Malakai a surprised smile. “You want to get married right away?” She nodded. “Then let’s do it!”

"No time like the present." Malakai replied. "Wait. You need a ring. Hold on..." He said as he began a search of his quarters.

Kara was amazed, this was all happening so fast. “What about Mattias? I can’t get married without Matt being there! He’d never forgive me!”

"What about him?" Malakai asked as he continued to search for the ring.

Kara sighed “He’s my brother, I want Mattias to be there.”

"And I'm what Kara? Chopped liver?" Malakai retorted.

Kara shook her head, "No of course not! Let's just go but don't blame me when Mattias has your head on a platter!"

Malakai sighed. Kara had a point and he knew it. He was just tired of her always differing to Mattias and his wants or opinions. Malakai didn't have an issue with the gunslinger and didn't want one. "Go find him Kara. I still have to find the ring." He finally said.

Kara smiled and kissed him on the cheek. “Thank you, I’ll be back ASAP.”

Malakai watched her leave, "I hope I don't regret Mattias being there." He muttered as he resumed his search.

Kara was quick in finding Mattias, smiling happily as she found him. “Matt! You have to come with me right now.”

Mattias was just finishing his daily workout regimen when he heard Kara calling his name. At first he tensed up because of the urgency of her call, but then telaxed some when he saw her beaming smile. "Kara! What's the matter? Is everything okay?"

Kara nodded. “Everything’s fine! I’m getting married and I want you there!” Kara grinned hoping Mattias wouldn’t kick up a big ruckus over it.

At first, Mattias said nothing. His mind was completely black. Then, a slightly annoyed confused look crossed his face. He opened his mouth to speak, once, twice. Then he closed his eyes and tried to calm the outburst the was screaming to explode out of him.

Keeping his eyes closed, in a tense, but quiet voice, he asked, "It's Malakai, isn't it?"

Kara nodded her eyes locked on Mattias.

"And you're absolutely sure this is what you want?"

“100% certain!” Kara nodded. “I’ve waited long enough Matt, I love him!”

Hearing the pure and honest excitement in her voice, Mattias knew that the day had finally arrived. The day his baby sister would finally leave him for good. Sighing heavily, he seemed to deflate slightly. Then, He took in another big breath and opened his eyes, abwarm smile crossed his face. "Okay. Let's go get you married." He reached out and pulled her into a storng, warm, brotherly hug. "I love you, Little Girl."

Kara grinned and hugged Mattias. “Thank you Matt, I love you big brother!

Meanwhile back in his soon to be their quarters Malakai had found the small velvet box and the ring it contained. It had been placed hidden in a drawer and covered with other odds and ends on the off chance of being discovered. Opening it, he smiled at the diamond ring in an emerald cut. " Found you!" he whispered as he stuffed it into his pant pocket. "Now, I have a very important date to keep." As he waited for Kara to return with hopefully Mattias.

A few moments later the door opened to reveal a very excited Kara with Mattias in tow. “Did you find what you wanted?”

Malakai only saw Kara's face though he was aware Mattias was there behind her. "What I wanted and you deserve." He clarified.

“Then shall we get going?” Kara grinned. “I want to get married before anything comes up.”

"Heard that and who am I to deny you?" Malakai said with a smile.
