***Previously***

One smiled a knowing smile. "You forget, David. This is your mind. You can be anything you want to be. All you have to do is concentrate."

For a few beats, nothing changed. Then, the view changed to a beautiful day on Jones Beach, and David coalesced into how he looked when he had brought Baeryn here.

One smiled a toothy grin. "And now the journey can truly begin."

***And Now...***

David glanced about the beach from his memorys. The scene was static. "Why is nothing moving?""

"Because your memories are always static when you aren't accessing them, or they aren't running through your mind as an uncontrolled flashback." One replied calmly. "Only you can make things move here."

Nodding slowly, David closed his eyes and concentrated. Slowly, the scene around them came to life. First, the breeze started to blow in gently from the sea. Next, the Atlantic started to move, the waves rushing up and crashing onto the beach. Then, the seagulls began their aerial dance and screeching.

One smiled as he looked around. "Very good, David!" He slapped David playfully on his back. "See? I knew you'd pick this up quickly!"

David grinned. "Whatever it takes to get back to Baeryn."

Suddenly, Baeryn appeared on the beach in front of them. She was laughing over her shoulder, as she removed her sun dress, running to the ocean waves.

"Baeryn!" David called out, reaching for her. One stopped him with a firm hand on his right shoulder.

"David, she's not really here. That is just the memory that you have of her, from the day you brought her here."

"I have to get out of here!" David exclaimed. "She must be worried sick about me!"

One nodded calmly. "You will, I promise you. But to do so, you must first find all three of us and bring us together. Then, we can all head to where the damage is and fix it. After the damage is fixed, you'll wake up."

"Okay," David replied. "Then where do we find..."

He stopped speaking when he heard a snarling gurgling sound behind him. Turning, he was, at first, shocked to see a monster emerging from the sea. It was twice the size of him and covered in seaweed.

"Now, now," One said in a calming voice. "Two, stand down, this is our Host. You will be respectful."

Two replied with a few snarls and grunts.

"Two! That was quite rude!" One exclaimed, looking a bit aghast.

David looked at One, a confused look on his face. "Okay, two things. First, why did you call me the Host? And second, what did he just say?

One turned to David and replied. "Well, firstly, as this is your mind, we are part of you. Without us, you wouldn't be alive. Without you, we wouldn't exist." Glancing up at Two, he continued. "Two here said that if he got out of here and took control of you, he would do things to Baeryn that I simply cannot repeat."

Two snorted and grunted a string of suggestive sounds.

Without warning, David grew to twice the size of Two, causing both One and Two to flinch. "Now look, bub," David spoke slowly and clearly, as he leaned over Two. "You may be the part of me that enjoys certain aspects of my life with Baeryn but, if I ever get the feeling that you're trying to do something that will hurt her, I'll lobotomize myself, ending you. You got me, shithead?"

Two nodded, removing his mask, which was nothing more than a dive mask, and the seaweed became just a ghillie suit.

One nodded approvingly.

Seeing that Two was in line, David shrank back down to his original size. Looking from One to Two, he asked, "Where to next?"

Two clicked and whistled.

One nodded in agreement, then answered David. "You need to go to where you felt secure in yourself."

Nodding, David closed his eyes and concentrated.

Slowly, the scene changed from the warm Long Island beach, to the frozen wastes of Antarctica, where the El Aurians had once had their listening and observation post. As the trio look around them, Two grunted and clicked, pointing off to their relative left.

A short ways away, someone was playing in the snow. As the trio approached, the person turned, to reveal a young boy version of David. "Hi, Dabid! Wanna play in da snow wit me?"
