Mission: Season 5: Episode 2: Operation Save Humanity
Location: Holodeck 2
Timeline: MD 3 23h30
530 words - 1.1 OF Standard Post Measure

Victor was not able to fall to sleep as memories of his past were coming back often. He walks into Holodeck 2 slowly. He steps up to the console of the Holodeck as he decided to test the capabilities of the computer program.

“Computer,” Victor asks as he formulated what he was planning, “I would like to dictate a record of a pass mission. Characters are myself as a Lieutenant, Captain Mackenzie Calhoun, Chief Engineer Commander Bobby Bourque, Doctor Faz, Security Officers Petty Officer Albert Centauri and Petty Officer Amanda Amadeus. Date is December 28th, 2394. Place is Rigel VII. Time is seventeen hundred hours.”

Moments later, all the characters and location appeared in front of him.

“Computer,” Victor asks, “Was there a similar mission in this reality?”

“Affirmative,” Computer replied. “Mission is classified.”

“Can you tell me anything like who survived” Victor asks.

“Classified,” computer replied.

“Can you at least tell me if Calhoun was the Commanding Officer on this mission?” Victor exhales as he wanted to compare scenarios.

“Captain Francine Anatoni was the commanding officer, the ship was the USS Courage, only two survivors which were Captain Anatoni and Petty Officer Amanda Amadeus,” The Computer replied.

“In my reality,” Victor says, “Only one that died was Bourque. I exposed him when the trap he set up went south. He tried to kill the Captain but the Captain got into a sword fight with him. Fortunately Calhoun was the better man.”

The computer program of the Holosuite continued. “In this universe, Petty Officer Amanda Amadeus had similar experience. She is an Engineering Officer. After two were killed, she trapped Bourque in a portable force field she had designed. Bourque retaliated causing a bomb to go off. After the explosion, only she and Captain survived. Starfleet had her abandoned the portable force field she was designing. It was too unstable. So Lieutenant, what is your purpose of comparing both missions?”

“I just missed my friends,” Victor sighed. “I know some of them are around but they do not know me. I am just a Variant. That is what Captain Addison Blaire called me.”

The computer checked Starfleet records. “No mention of Captain Addison Blaire in Starfleet. What was her maiden name?”

“You will not find her in the records because she is a Temporal Officer from the future,” Victor said, “Any traces gets erased immediately. She is a super gorgeous Betazoid who suffered from not able to turn off her mind reading. Now back to the task at hand. Show me the visual of what happened here to the best of your ability.”

For the next forty-five minutes, Victor was shown what happened based upon the reports.

“Interesting,” Victor said pondering. “Where is Amadeus now? I think I could help her with her design.”

“Sorry Lieutenant,” the computer replied. “Starfleet has released an order not to deal with trying it again.”

“Very well,” Victor says with a shrug. “I have to go to bed now anyway. Tomorrow is going to be a very busy day. Good night Computer.”

“Good night Lieutenant Barclay de Tolly,” the computer replied.

After Victor turned off the program, memories guided him as he walked to his quarters.
