Jaxon brought them out on the darkside of the planet Rigel X. He pulled their new ship up into a low orbit around the planet while he plotted their trajectory into the atmosphere and to their new base. He hit the comm. "Everyone, welcome to Rigel X. I suggest you all hold on, this entry is going to get rocky. Lily, Malakai, to the bridge."

Lily came up to the bridge and stopped at Jax's shoulder. "Hey."

"Lils." He said. He glanced at her. "No body guard?" he smirked. "Mattias trusts you in here with me?"

"oh yeah" she said sarcastically. "But then he can beat you up easily enough."

Jax rolled his eyes. "Well whenever you want to throw him over Lils.."

"I'll keep it in reserve" She snarked back. She looked out the view port. "So... rough?"

"Yeah massive snow storm over our new base. which is good and bad." Jax said.

Lily wrinkled her nose. "Snow. Yuck"

"Yeah that's right, you are not a snow person are you"

"I hate the cold." Lily replied.

"Love the cold." Kate noted, she noticed Lily looking at her. "What?!?! My people evolved on a world of mountains and tundra."

Lily just rolled her eyes. "Well its a reason I keep Mattias around. He is big and warm."

Jax snorted. "That and other things." he quipped.

Kate grabbed a nearby PADD and gave Jax's head a light swat. "Focus on landing, Flyboy. Not on Lily's private life."

Malakai sighed, he was glad they weren't talking about Kara and himself. Right now it was time to focus. "Okay, enough of Lily and Mattias and their private lives. "Other than the snow storm anything else we need to be worried about?" He questioned Jax.

Mattias entered the bridge when Malakai mentioned the snow storm. "Armory locked down for entry, Boss." He moved up next to Lily as he watched the approach. "Snow storm? That looks like a full blown blizzard! Look at those clouds, the cross wind is going to be brutal down there. Keep your eyes on the controls, Tinkerbell, visuals are gonna be shit down there."

Jax flipped Mattias the bird but had already been focusing on his piloting.

Kara followed her brother onto the bridge, smiling as she walked over to Malakai taking her place at his side. Their passionate tryst during Kate’s drug withdrawal had cemented the love in their relationship, and she felt happier for it. “A blizzard? Brrr no thanks!” She grinned.

Malakai looped an arm around Kara's waist. Ever since their passionate lovemaking, he felt even closer to Kara and like her her felt happier and more complete.

Kara smiled as she looked into Malakai's eyes. Looping her arm around him too resting her head on his shoulder.

"I'll never understand the aversion to cold that most of everyone I know possesses." Kate noted. "With Cold weather, You can always add more layers, Hot weather, there's only so many layers you can take off before it becomes Obscene."

"now, Now Kate, its called airconditioning." Gwynn said from the back of the bridge. "Xavier says that he is monitoring the intake valves."

Jaxon nodded. "Good. Cause we do not wanna crash." The ship came in low.

"Sasha, codes?" Lily asked.


From her station Sasha transmitted the codes to both Lily and Jaxon. “Sent!”

Anna spoke. "I can grab Josh here and we can do a sweep around the perimeter. " She smiled at Josh. "Hey Hun... We've got an Arctic Perimeter Sweep. Now that is romantic, Don't you think?" Both of the Recon Marines had strange ideas on what they considered Romantic.

Josh's smile grew bright and large. "Now, Anna honey child. That is just about the most romantic idea I've heard in a long time. Lets get to it. Just wish we had some huskies to go with us. Make it nice and romantic."

Looking back at his overeager junior Marines, Mattias smirked. "Who needs huskies, when we are already Devil Dogs, kids?"

From the back of the bridge Sasha muttered, "I think I'm gonna barf. honey child." She shook her head, her red hair falling loose from where it had been tucked behind her ear.

"Pay no attention to the Information Booth over there. Sweetie... She's single. C'mon Joshy. Let's gear up and go patrolling.

"Right behind you dumpling. Lets get to it." Josh replied, sticking his tongue out playfully at Sasha.

Sasha made a gagging noise in response and jokingly stuck her finger down her throat.

Josh chuckled at Sasha's gesture, shaking his head at her, "So young, so jealous. What a shame." He grinned at her.

"I'm just green with envy." Sasha said in a sarcastic tone. "Don't get lost."

"Goes good with your red head. Our own little Christmas tree." Josh replied with a grin then without missing a beat he added, "Not a chance."

Arri took a look at the Sensors. "Lily, I'm picking up several storm-fronts moving in on this location. Visibility will drop to twenty percent or less in two hours. I suggest we lock the ship down and close up for evening."

Anna spoke. "No Prob, Kate. I and Josh can sweep the whole place in like twenty."

"I'm predicting that the temperature will decrease to approximately negative twenty celsius. I don't think it's a good idea to send out patrols in these conditions until morning."

"Come on Anna, time's a wasting. Lets get to it sweetie." Josh replied to Anna.

"Environmental suits!" Lily called to them.

"Yes momma!" Josh called back to her, then softer to Anna, "You know, they act like we don't know what we're doing."

Mattias grumbled quietly to Lily. "Should I go with them, hold their hands?"

"no," she said softly. "They should be fine."

Nodding, he moved behind Lily and loosely wrapped his arms around her, interlocking his fingers over her belly. "I'm sure there are a few large fireplaces in there," he whispered just loud enough for her to hear.

"sounds promising" She whispered back. Lily smiled. "Clara, you are on Dead letter drop."

Clara nodded. "no probs." She nodded and headed for the shuttle bay as Jaxon finished their touch down.

"Lily... Use the Rising Phoenix. It more than warm enough for you. I have work to do with Sasha." Kate mentioned.

"We have a lot to unpack and get settled." Lily said.

"Then let's get to it. Maybe, if we finish early enough, you can try to win at a few games of poker." He winked playfully at her.

"Hatch sealed Boss" Jax called.

"Good. Okay everyone, there are enough rooms for everyone so no fighting. Lets go get settled in!" Lily stated.

"Poker huh?" Kate noted. "Intriguing game, I'd very much like to learn how to play it." By those words, she was hustling them. She just had to get some of them to believe it.

Mattias looked over at Kate and grinned. "Sure. You bring your money, I'll bring the cards and beer."
