Lt. Commander Vaii entered the barracks to drop off several things. One was a rose she had, which she placed in a vase nearby the locker door. The next was lunch, sealed in one of those secured containers, which she placed in the locker.

Liam entered the barracks, after doing a heavy workout in the Thunder Dome. He paused when he saw the pilot, snapping to attention and saluting. "Morning, Ma'am!"

"Good morning Sergeant. I'm here to make sure my man eats well." Jessica smirked. "I can be rest assured no one will mess around with Chief Man'darr's lunch? Nor the rose." She smirked. at him, she knew the rest of the marines were going to tease him to no end about it.

Liam dropped his salute and moved to parade rest. "Yes, Ma'am. No one will touch either, Ma'am." He gave her a polite and respectful grin as he spoke. As an NCO, it wasn't his place to say anything out of place to a senior officer. Especially when the subject discussed was his XO.

Lilli entered through the doors, she was looking to get herself a snack, as her body was telling her she needed to eat more now that she was nourishing a growing child inside her. She offered a salute to Jess, “Commander” and offered Liam a polite smile. “Sergeant” She wasn’t exactly sure what she wanted to eat so she stood considering her options before replicating a mixed food platter.

The door opened again as the new gunny stepped through. The orion had been working out again and right now she was famished. Noting the stranger who had the commander's pips she gave her a polite nod and a salute. " Commander." She said camly.

Man'darr then entered the barracks grinning, having completed a fire and move course with his Heavy Automatic Pulse Weapon. His eyes instantly took in Vaii and widened some. Oh, hey Jess," he greeted. "What brings you by Marine Country?"

Winston entered behind Man'darr, alternating rubbing his elbows, knee's and his back, he had a few bruises forming. He headed strait for the replicator and began ordering fruit, alphabetically, starting with the letter O.

"Oh just dropping something off for you back at your locker." She smirked. "I have to make sure the Colonel feeds you right."

“Whose lucky then!” Leilani grinned as she placed her tray down on the table and taking a seat. Her rumbling stomach was reminding her that she needed to her and eat.

Liam moved to the table and sat down across from Leilani. "They always flirt so openly?" He asked with a grin. It was nice to see others so happy.

“To be honest I’ve no clue!” Leilani smiled. “It’s all good fun around here, there’s a lot of couples onboard as you’ll soon find out.”

The young sergeant smiled and blushed slightly. "Uh, yeah, I already know." He leaned over and whispered to Leilani. "Lieutenant Samaire McBride." He smiled warmly and it was clear by his tone and the glint in his eyes that she was someone very special to him.

Leilani grinned. “Ahhh I see” She gave him an understanding look.

Liam grinned like a schoolboy. "She's great, as is her niece, Skylah," he let out a soft sigh of contentment. "Ive been spend all my free time with them since our first date in the Arboretum. I know I haven't been here long, and have known them both even less but, they are both quite special to me."

Leilani nodded. “Sounds like they’ve both made quite an impression on you.” She politely tucked into her food as her rumbling stomach reminded her to eat.

Smiling softly and nodding, Liam stared off into space a little, as if seeing a memory behind his eyes. "They really have. I just need to be careful and not screw it up. I know that I am very lucky to be included in their lives."

Leilani nodded. “Well from the look on your face I’d say she’s a woman whose made quite an impression on you. Don’t worry about screwing anything up, just enjoy your time with them both.”

Nodding, he replied. "They both have." He smiled again and added. "Thanks, that actually helps."

"Thank you, but why bring me lunch? What did you make me?" he asked, moving over to the brown bag," Man'darr asked Jess. He wasn't used to this kind of treatment.

"Oh, you'll just have to open it up, Jarhead. And I brought you lunch because I wanted to." Jess winked and turned to the other Marines. "And the rest of you guys. Keep your head down out there and look after my man here." She began to leave.

"I will see you later tonight," Man'darr called sighing, yet grinning and shaking his head.

Winston sat down with a huge tray of fruit and strange vegetables. Peeling a large orange and eating it, he looked down at the Mandarin Orange, then over at Man'darr, and said "Order is nice, but chaos, now that is entertaining. Your are brave, she looks like chaos, is it safe tempting fate? but who am I to ask, I am always the one coming out with the bruises in the holo-deck drills."

Liam looked over at the tray of fruit and grinned. "You trying to tell us that you don't get enough fiber in your diet, Corporal?" He had yet to met all of the Marines of the unit.

Winston, just smiled, then said, "No, I am just saying, I seem to come out with bruises, when I leave the holo-deck, after drills. Maybe, I should duck more? Or maybe, I am just un-lucky! Or if there is no such thing as luck, then maybe some one is out to get me!"

Liam chuckled softly. "Thats not what I meant. I was referring to the tray full of fruits. That's alot of roughage you've got there. Remind me not to use the head after you do." He winked playfully and gave the corporal a friendly grin, to show he was only teasing.

Looking at Liam, Winston said, "no lack of fiber causes issues, not the abundance of.... But everyone has an opinion, and they all say { Theirs don't stink!}" Winston had used air quotes with two fingers on each hand for an infusion of style. But while we are talking about opinions, who is getting that rose, and signing their death warrant?"

Liam grinned and chuckled softly. Turning his head to look towards the area with the rose, he replied. "It seems that the head fighterjock decided to drop off lunch and the rose for her boyfriend, the X-O."

"Keep it up, assholes," Man'darr turned to the others, smirking. He then turned back to Jessica, mouthing "Thanks alot."

Winston leaned in close to Liam and asked, " Isn't that dangerous? Someone might piss off some one that has bigger guns than we do!"

Liam smirked slightly. "I wouldn't worry too much there. So long as you don't look him in the eyes, he won't bite you." He gave Leilani a friendly wink and slight tilt of his head towards the nervous corporal.

Winston said, "Now I see why, the escape and evasion course was taught, get in , find your objective, locate escape routes, find the fastest route to your objective, secure your lunch, consume it, as quick as possible, all the while looking for possible enemies, exfiltrate throu prior planed routes, ready to use alternate methods to escape.... this works...."

Liam chuckled, reaching over to gently pat Winston on the back. "See? You arelearning! Keep it up and you might make sergeant one day." He winked playfully at his fellow Marine, then looked back over at Man'darr. "So, what's on the docket for the rest of the day, Sir?"

"Some CQB training and then an easy five kilometer run in gear," Man'darr smiled. "Going to be a wonderful rest of the day."

"OO-RAH, Sir!" Liam replied happily. Training with his brother and sister Marines was always something he enjoyed doing. It helped to make them a tighter-knit group.

Man'darr grinned at Liam's enthusiasm as he grabbed his bag of lunch and sat down. He opened it to find a note saying ' "Love you, Snookums"-- Jess' "Damn that woman," he sighed.

Glancing over, Liam saw the note. He couldn't help but snicker. "That your new call sign, Sir?"

"Shut up," he replied with a grin before opening the wrapper on his turkey sandwich. He only hoped that this was the last time she brough him lunch as he took a bit of the sandwich.
