It's a little tight

Location: Deck 16 - VIP Quarters

"What the..." S'hib exclaimed as his hooves padded at the carpet outside the wide doors of the High Priestesses quarters, the dark grey floor that lined the Elysium corridors feeling coarse and gritty... almost like it was covered in, sand, he thought to himself as the door opened to reveal T'handu, standing inside a square frame that held back the thick layer of crimson red sand that covered the entirety of the VIP quarters.

"Commander?" T'han exclaimed in surprise, his posture relaxing once he recognised there was no threat to his Priestess. "We weren't expecting you, is everything alright?" He mused, shifting his hand down the length of his phase lance, letting its weight tip until it was horizontal.

"Mostly..." S'hib replied as he leaned his head to one side, his eyes widening as he took in the extent of the redecorating the pair had done. "I brought something for you both." He added, somewhat lifting the paper bag at his side.

T'han looked at the bag and then took a few steps back, almost tripping on the frame behind him. "Oh, of course... come in." He fumbled, standing up straight and trying to hide the chink done to his pride.

"Thank you," S'hib said softly as he ducked low under the wide entrance, stepping up slightly as he walked onto the sand, taking in the rest of the lavishly decorated room, the numerous plants and decor reminding him of his old quarters. "I see you've settled in... nicely..." He added, spotting the Ambassador lounging nude on a large curving sofa, propped up by several cushions with an open book in hand.

"We may not be on Sequella, Commander..." An'Dalus said jovially, setting the book face down onto the seat beside her. "but she is certainly here with us..." She finished, sitting up ever so slightly, her long legs still taking up the entirety of the sofa.

"Apparently so..." S'hib snorted, the feeling of sand beneath his hooves while aboard the Ely seeming very odd indeed.

"So come on then, why are you here..." Anne huffed, her tail flicking lazily against the sofa. "Since you don't strike me as the type to arrive unannounced just for a little chit chat..." She added, gesturing a hand lazily at the bag to his side, an unamused look on her face as she did so.

"Yes, we need to talk about clothing, or..." S'hib started, having to finish the rest of his sentence with her snorting "No." at him with increasing volume. "The lack thereof while outside of these quarters." He finished, trying his best not to frown.

"I will not subject myself to these barbaric practices." She continued defiantly.

"Ambassador please, I'm not asking you to dress as they do... because not even I do when I'm out of this uniform." He pleaded, emptying the bag onto a large oval glass table. "But there needs to be a compromise..."

"Priestess, you have to admit... it has made interacting with the crew very difficult..." T'han added, moving forward to inspect the coloured lengths of material.

"Oh, not you as well..." Anne said with an exhausted sigh. "These people," She added, snapping her attention back to S'hib. "are backwards... surely you see this."

"They might be... to us..." S'hib replied, the guilt of agreeing with her weighing heavy on his next words. "But this is their ship... so we do as they do."

"Red sands, you'd be dangerous if they allowed Stals in the senate..." Anne bemoaned, finally swinging her legs off the sofa and sitting up.

"Maybe they should..." S'hib replied with an air of smugness.

"I wouldn't go that far..." Anne quipped, rolling her eyes as she sat back, folding one long leg other the other. "But come on then, show me what you brought."

S'hib opted to keep his mouth shut, desiring her attention on the matter at hand than winning some petty dispute. "Of course..." He added, quickly leaning down and retrieving a length of loosely woven material.

"T'han can I borrow you..." S'hib said, gathering up the length in one hand.

"Of course... what do you need?" T'handu replied, showing far more enthusiasm that his Priestess.

"Just, stand here... and spread your legs slightly, I'm going to show you both how I dress and how it can incorporate our culture while respecting theirs," S'hib said as he knelt down beside T'han, knowing what attention he had from the Priestess was already ticking away.

"I use material like this..." He smiled, holding the orange material taught and revealing it to be similar to that used to wrap the legs of earthen horses. "I get it from a shop on the civilian promenade," He continued, starting to wrap the first length around T'handu's right thigh "A very nice lady makes them for me and I've already put in more requests for you both."

He continued in silence for a moment as T'han looked down inquisitively, watching the wrap moving around the inside of his thigh and up onto his hip.

"The only areas you both need to cover fully is your crotch... and for you ambassador, your chest... as for anywhere else, that's entirely up to you, but I do like to cover my arms as it draws more attention to my chest which I normally don't cover.

"I must admit, this wasn't what I was expecting at all..." Anne said, studying the now somewhat clothed nether regions of T'han. "I wasn't aware clothing could be so... minimal, is there really a point?" She added, somewhat confused.

"I couldn't tell you, Ambassador, I just happen to have a solution to a question I don't understand." S'hib said with a slight shake of his head.

"It's a little tight..." T'han said uncomfortably.

"Sorry, I've never actually... done this to anyone else." S'hib said as he started quickly unwrapping the cloth, glancing over at Anne as he did. "Want to try it?" He said enthusiastically.

"No no, I'm fine just watching for now..." She said, an amused look on her face as she sat back, spreading her arms across the back of the sofa.
