Vanessa prepared her luggage for the trip. "This is farewell for now. I've been recalled to Earth for consultation regarding the Gorn on our last mission. Both Ferengi and Gorn Ambassadors want to know exactly what transpired there."

Kyle was feeling a bit somber. "Do you know how long you'll be gone, Sweetheart?" He helped her with her packing, by bringing her the things she asked for.

"As long as it's needed. Love." Vanessa noted. "This is a serious situation. All facts must be know. I'm afraid that Ferengi Woman has committed multiple war crimes against the Gorn. Each one qualifies alone as an Act of war. I need to show proof for every count that exhonerates the Ferengi.. But I am concerned. The Ferengi have a habit of disavowing 'independant privateers like this. I'm hoping Nagus Rom does not continue this practice, it will create unecccessay animosity with the Gorn. He needs to come forward and with full disclosure." Vanessa noted. "As that human Christian saying goes; the truth will set you free."

Nodding, Kyle realized that it was important. Reaching out, he grabbed her hips. Spinning her to face him, he pulled her close. "Now, just because we are going to be uncounted light-years apart, doesn't mean you get to misbehave, young lady. I'm still yours and you're still mine. Remember that."

Vanessa smiled and grabbed him by the uniform. "If you dare look at another woman, I will indefinitely remove something you want very much. Do we understand each other, Captain?" She forced him to kiss.

Kyle returned her kiss with equal power and passion, lifting her up off her feet, then turning and pinning her to the nearby bulkhead.

Vanessa spoke. "It will be just a few days... I'll be back my love once all these problems are put to rest. Tell my cadets not to think they'll have it any easier without me."

He grinned as he gazed deep into her eyes. "I tell them, beloved. You just focus on finishing your duties and getting back here to me!" He kissed her deeply, which soon changed to them spending the next two hours in bed, devouring one another.

Finally, with heavy hearts, they cleaned up and got got dressed. Kyle then walked Vanessa to the transporter room and saw her off.
