A little magic spark

With some free time on her hands Emily had decided to head to the holodeck. She had a program she hadn’t used in a long while, and she wanted to use it now. Arriving at holodeck 1 she entered her parameters then activated it, stepping through the doors she couldn’t help but smile.

Harper had been wandering the ship during her store's closed time, and found herself outside the holodeck. She noticed it was active and checked who the user was. A small smile flitted across her lips at the name.

Inside the holodeck Emily was soaking in a warm hot tub, she wasn’t expecting any company so in true Betazoid tradition she was soaking in the nude. Her bikini was strewn at the side of the tub along with her towel.

The door opened and Harper entered. "Emily?" she called out.

Emily was surprised to hear Harper’s voice. “Harper?” She turned around in the hot tub offering a smile and a wave. “I’m not intruding on your holodeck time am I?”

Harper shook her head. "No I was just wandering around the ship. Winding down from my day. Sorry to intrude"

“You’re not intruding at all” Emily smiled warmly. “Feel free to join me. I hope you don’t mind me being undressed!” She motioned to where her bikini lay.

"No Of course not." Harper smiled. "I grew up in a traveling circus. It was a education in a lot of things." She kicked off her shoes and sat on the edge of the spa, edging up her skirt to above her knees. "Mind?" she asked as she motioned to dip her feet into the water.

“Of course not!” Emily grinned. “Feel free to join me if you like, it’s big enough for two in here.”

Harper smiled but only placed her feet in the water. "I am not good in water." she admitted. "But it feels nice."

“It’s not deep, you’ll be perfectly safe if you’d like to try” Emily smiled. “No worries if not though. Tell you what I’ll join you.” Emily slid to the side and grabbed her towel, standing up she wrapped it around herself before moving to sit near Harper.

Harper smiled. "So you have been busy?"

“Sickbay tends to keep me busy” Emily smiled. “I’m a surgical nurse, but when I’m not needed for surgery I help with patients. It’s a job I enjoy.”

"Its good that you enjoy your work" Harper said with a smile she kicked her feet in the hot water.

Emily looked at Harper curiously. “If you don’t mind me asking, why don’t you like the water?”

"Oh... its.. I don't know how to swim, never learned and I had a bad experience once."

Emily nodded. “I understand, I can make it shallower if you’d like to sit in? I won’t let anything happen to you I promise!”

Harper considered it for a moment but shook her head. "No its ok, I am fine sitting here." She said with a smile. "So.. while you are here.. Are you busy tomorrow night?"

“Busy?” Emily shook her head. “No, not at all.”

Harper smiled. "I am hosting a small event at my store... if you wish to come by" she suggested.

Emily nodded. “Sure I’d love to attend! You never know I may just end up becoming a regular customer.”

Harper smiled at that. "That would be nice. Its at 19h00. Just cocktails and snacks, kind of like a store opening thing."

“Do you need any help setting up?” Emily smiled. “I’ll be only too happy to help if you do.”

Harper smiled "That would be nice." she said back. "It wont take much. I am going to do all the cooking prep tonight."

“Need any help with that? I’m not too bad a cook.” Emily smiled warmly.

Harper studied Emily for a moment and nodded. "Sure. I could always use the help."

“Great!” Emily smiled warmly. “Let me know what time and I’ll be there.”

"how does 20h00 sound?" Harper asked softly.

“Sounds good to me!” Emily smiled and nodded. “I'll be there 8pm sharp!”

Harper smiled. "I will see you then"

“You certainly will” Emily smiled warmly. “I’m looking forward to it already!”

Harper and Emily chatted for a bit more then Harper departed to make sure her cabin was neat.
