Phoenix checked the Chrono and entered main medical during one of the many lulls in patients and headed for the CMO's office. It was unusual her request but she felt that it would feel better to her if the answer to the question she was about to ask would be yes from the doctor.

She rapped on the open door's jam and flashed a smile. "hey Doc, do you have a moment?"

Sthilg was working through today's paperwork when he heared his friend step inside. " Always captain what to you need old sssaw bonesss for? " he inquired.

Phoenix entered and the door slid shut behind her. "So Mattias and I are going to get married in July this year, and I .. well Human tradition, is that the Bride be walked down the aisle. And I was hoping you would .. escort me down the aisle?" Phoenix's words came out in a rush at the end.

The old doctor paushed as a grin and a chuckle escaped his old reptilian lips. Pulling out two glasses he placed them on the table. " I would be honoured to my friend. Here have a drink in celebration."

Phoenix smiled. "Thank you, it means a lot." she said as she sat to have that drink with him.

Rummaging in his desk the gorn pulled out a rather badly made glass bottle which he pulled the crock from with a satisfying pop. " Ssspruce beer my own brew." he explained as he began to pour.

"Wow this is indeed an honour" Phoenix said with a smile. "I have heard about this beer before."

" One of the thing'sss I've been making on my holodeck program. Humansss ssseem to be able to make alcohol out of anything." Sthilg said as he handed over one of the glasses.

"One of their many ... talents, I guess we should say" She accepted the glass and held it up in toast to him.

" To happier daysss." Sthulg raised his glass before downing a shot of the amber liquid.

"To happier days" she repeated back to him with a grin.
