A sight one did not normally see was occurring in the corridors of the USS Elysium. Lt. Commander walked the corridors, that in itself was not unusual, what was unusual was his companion. A full grown Vulcan sehlet.

"Come Tux, we are going to see Alicia. I know she will be quite pleased to see you." Savar told his pet. Tux replied with what sounded like a low rumble but was really a purr of contentment.

The pair continued their trek to Savar and Alicia's quarters, getting many startled looks and quick, rapid moves to get out of their path. After it is not every day one sees what looks like a teddy bear coming down the corridor of a starship. A teddy bear with six inch fangs. After a bit they reached their destination. Savar turned to talk to Tux. "No jumping on Alicia, Tux and you have to meet the children as well."' Tux purred his agreement. "Alright." Savar replied as he opened the door to their quarters.

"Alicia?" He called out. "I have a surprise."

Appearing from the bedroom Alicia’s eyes widened in surprise as she was suddenly jumped upon by a very large, giant fanged Tux. “Tux!!” She grinned as she gave the Sehlat a cuddle. “What on Earth are you doing here?” Her gaze went to Savar. “I take it the Captain approved Tux being onboard?”

"Tux, what did we talk about? No jumping on Alicia." Savar reminded the sehlat. "As to the captain. She does not yet know about Tux. However, I am sure she will approve."

“Are you sure?” Alicia gave her husband a concerned look. “I know he’s your pet Savar, but living on a starship where space is restricted, may not be the best idea for Tux.”

" Alicia, Tux will be fine. I can take him to the holodeck and let him run or even to the arboretum. I believe your concern is unwarranted." Savar replied as he knelt to scratch Tux' behind his ears. "In addition, he will be excellent protection for the children and yourself."

“That’s very true, I can’t fault your logic Savar” Alicia smiled at her husband. “Looks like we have ourselves a pet!”

Savar nodded his head, "Thank you Alicia. You know Tux loves you to begin with and he will love the children just as much as be just of protective of them as he is you."

Alicia nodded. “I hope so, are you sure Tux won’t be jealous of the children? Some animals do.”

"Tux will not be jealous, he will love and protect them just as you and I would Alicia. Bring the children out so Tux can see them and know their scent." Savar suggested.

“They’re both sleeping, why don’t you bring Tux into them while they’re quiet?” Alicia smiled as she motioned her husband onward.

"An excellent idea Alicia, please come with us and you can introduce Tux to them while they sleep." Savar suggested he turned to Tux, "Tux come with us." As the trio headed for the children's room.

Walking in ahead of Savar and Tux, Alicia stood between the cots of Connor and N’Vea. “Come Tux” She was understandably wary, Tux was a very large animal in comparison to the size of her children.

Tux padded softly to where Alicia stood between the cots of the children and looked up at her.

Alicia chose an item of each of her children, letting Tux take in the scent of both of them. “Get to know these Tux.” She gently stroked the Sehlat.

Tux sniffed the articles Alicia had put before him. He purring grew louder, almost a rumble.. Savar spoke to Alicia. "He has their scent. He will protect them and if they ever got lost, he can track and find them."

Alicia smiled. “That’s reassuring. Let’s just hope he doesn’t frighten my mother, or my father for that matter!”

"Tux's appearance may be impossing but he would never hurt anyone at least not intentionally or without reason. I believe once your mother and the Doctor get past Tux's appearance all will be fine and he will protect them as well." Savar replied.

Alicia nodded. “I trust in you Savar, you know Tux the best and he’s never hurt me. It’s going to be nice having a pet.”

"I would never betray that trust Alicia. Tux will be a good protector for you and the children. He will never hurt any of you." Savar answered.

“Heavens! I know you wouldn’t put any of us at risk Imzadi” She motioned him out of the children’s bedroom so as not to disturb Connor and N’Vea as they slept.

Savar followed her out of the children's room and Tux followed them. "Imzadi. I never get tired of hearing you call me that Alicia and though I don't say it as much, know you are indeed my Imzadi."

Alicia smiled the warmest smile yet. “It’s a term reserved for those who hold your heart, and you most definitely hold mine, now and forever more!”

Savar reached his hand out and placed it over Alicia's. "It is a most satisfactory term Alicia and also a true one. You are my soulmate. I am incomplete without you."

“As I am without you Imzadi.” Alicia looked into Savar’s eyes. “As I swore on the day I married you, I will never leave your side. I will forever be here with you.”

"I am afraid you are stuck with me Alicia for I would never leave you. The day we married out souls were united and bound as one." Savar answered looking into the eyes of the woman he loved with every breath he took.

“Then I’m glad” Alicia grinned as she leant in for a loving kiss.

"As am I." Savar whispered as emotions were always evident around Alicia. he loved her that much and deeply.

“Heaven help anyone who ever calls you a non-emotional Vulcan!” Alicia gently brushed Savar’s cheek with her fingers. “You show me so much love, and I know it comes from your heart.”

"I confess. When you are involved, I am very emotional." Savar replied softly. "My teachings fail me and I am glad for I want you to know how much I love you."

Tux purred in agreement.

“I’m not afraid of you forgetting your teachings when we’re together Imzadi, I’m not afraid of seeing the real you.” Alicia cuddled up as they sat together. “I know you would never harm me in any way.”

"Never would I hurt you or the children in any way Alicia." Savar replied solemnly.

“Hey...no need for solemn” Alicia grinned. “Let’s enjoy our quiet time together while we can.”

"A most excellent idea Alicia and one I fully agree with." Savar answered the corners of his mouth upturned slightly.
