Phoenix returned to her ready room and hit the comm. "Commander Reece to the ready room. Captain Taylor to the ready room."

As Kyle had just re-entered the bridge, after using the head, he made his way over to the Commodore's ready room and pressed the door chime.

Gary was in his ready room. He was still steaming over Lia and S'hib's actions along with Lia's attitude when Phoenix's call came in that she wanted to see him and Commander Reece in her ready room. He resisted a sigh and crossed the bridge to her ready room where he saw Kyle already standing. "Hello Kyle." He greeted as he came alongside.

Kyle nodded and grinned slightly. "Sir. Why do I have a feeling it's not good news that we are being called in to see the Commodore?" He of course had heard about the issue in Security. By now, the entire ship probably knew. However, he wasn't one to jump to conclusions.

The door opened before Gary could reply and the Erisan accented tone of the Commodore said "Come"

Gary came in along with Kyle and moved the chairs in front t of Phoenix's desk and waited for the invitation to sit.

Kyle followed Gary inside, as the XO was higher in both rank and position. Once inside, he came to a relaxed parade rest and asked the Commodore, "How may I be of service, Ma'am?"

"Have a seat." Phoenix was by herself standing behind her desk. The chairs were back in front of her desk.

Getting the invitation to sit, Gary sat in the chair to the right of Phoenix's desk and waited.

"Commander Reece, Captain Taylor already knows what I am about to say. Effective immediately Security and Tactical are merged with you as the Senior officer. Commander Taylor is brigged for 2 weeks and then confined to quarters when not on duty for 6 months. If after the 6 months things have improved we will separate the departments again. She will be your assistant chief of security and Malakai will be the assistant chief of tactical. Lieutenant Commander S'hib is on a 7 day confined to quarters the confined for a month when not on duty. Commander Taylor has been demoted to Lieutenant Commander also."

Gary sat silently as Phoenix informed Kyle of the changes in leadership and the merging of the security/tactical departments. He was still mad with Lia and the boneheaded actions she took.

After hearing what the Commodore said, Kyle shook his head slowly, as he was thinking how to reply. Finally, "Wjile it grieves me that senior officers, decorated and experienced ones at that, behaved as they did." He frowned slightly. While he was no Saint, he still knew what lines not to cross. Looking back up into the Commodore's eyes, he nodded. "You'll have my best, as always, Ma'am. I take it, with both senior security officers... incapacitated you'll be assigning good their investigation into the attack on Ensign Miraj to someone else?" Again, he had a feeling that he knew who that would be, but he didn't want to make any assumptions.

"Yes. You and Captain Taylor will undertake it and a review of the Flight control department." Phoenix replied. " and all interviews are to be recorded and overseen by the JAG."

Gary had been quiet as Phoenix informed Kyle of his new duties and responsibilities but now he spoke up. "Fun, fun. The interviews will conducted as you say Commodore."

"Good. Let's not have any more issues. I want both of you to know that if you find other issues they are to be reported to me immediately."

Kyle arched an eyebrow slightly as he asked, "Before or after we inform JAG, Ma'am?" He knew it could be a dangerous question, though he meant no disrespect by it.

"After JAG," Phoenix replied. "But as they will be present, it won't matter really."

Kyle nodded again. "Understood, Ma'am. It may have been a while since I was in a criminal investigation, however, I won't let you down, Ma'am."

"Good. I will commence the process of merging your departments. I suggest you reach out to Lt. Commander S'hib first. He is much more.... easier to speak with."

Kyle nodded in understanding. "Aye, Ma'am." He then looked over at Gary. "While I'm sure you are up to speed on the investigation, Sir, I need some time to catch up. If it's convenient for you, shall we meet up, in the Security offices, in about an hour? I should be caught up on the file for this case by then. Then we can both go speak with S'hib?" While Kyle certain knew the Sequus in passing, he had never sat down and actually had a conversation with the officer.

Gary gave a nod of his head as he spoke. "Certainly Kyle, that will be fine. It is definitely convenient for me. A conversation with S'hib will hopefully give us insight to what he and Li... Lieutenant Commander Taylor were concentrating on."

Kyle nodded, catching the slight slip. As he had yet to be married, he had no idea the pressure this current situation was putting on Gary. He hoped things wouldn't get complicated. Nodding once to the XO, he then looked back at Commodore Lalor-Richardson. "I just need you to transfer command of the Security Department to me, so I may freely enter the offices and go over the files, Ma'am?"

Phoenix nodded and handed him a PADD "Already organised. And feel free to inform the officers and crew in that department that I will be watching."

Kyle took the PADD and nodded. "Thank you, Ma'am. And I will let them know the story. I know I'm going into someone else's shop." He paused a beat, then added, "If there is nothing else, Ma'am, I'll get to it right away."

"Good Luck Commander, You are going to need it." Phoenix said. "Dismissed."

Nodding again, Kyle snapped to attention. "Aye, Ma'am." He then nodded once to Gary, then turned and left the ready room. He had a fair amount of reading to do.

Phoenix looked at Gary. "When Miraj is good for visitors I want to know" She instructed him. "I have something i need to do."

"Of course. You will be notified the exact moment she is. Wanna share?" Gary pressed gently.

In response she merely placed a small black box on her desk and raised an eyebrow at him. "I do not believe there will be an issue do you?"

Gary looked at the box and to Phoenix. "Absolutely and about time." He replied with a slight smile.
