[ON:]

Andrinn was sitting back in his quarters and thinking about all the wedding plans that were slowly coming to fruition. He had talked to Sam recently and they had discussed their ideas about what both of them wanted to do. Something that was discussed was who would be invited to their weddings...one of them being both of their families.

While it was a brief conversation because of everything that was going on, it made Andrinn think about how far everyone was away from their families, him and Sam included. Andrinn was close to his family, no matter where or how far he went into the known universe.

Andrinn had his mother and several other family members, both on Trill and on several other worlds. He had a cousin that worked on a Starbase near the intersection of Federation, Klingon, and former Romulan territory. Andrinn had several siblings that he loved with all of his heart. But, the one person Andrinn was thinking of lately was his mother.

Andrinn smiled when he thought about his mother. He knew how much it would have meant for her to be within the wedding. But, alas...time and space was something that wasn't allowing for it at the moment. Andrinn knew that it would be quite some time before the crew would make it back home to the Milky Way Galaxy.

But, that was something that gave Andrinn a bit of strength as he sat there in his quarters. He looked over at his computer terminal and turned it on. Once the screen came on and he put in his command codes, Andrinn said, "Computer, access my personal database and bring up the most recent picture of my family and I back on Earth."

The computer chirped and replied, "Working." Within moments, the computer brought up a picture of Andrinn, his mother, and his siblings. Andrinn had two younger brothers, both of whom hated taking pictures of any sort. But, Andrinn knew that it would be the last time for a little bit that he would be able to see either one of them for a little bit. So, he made them take a picture with him.

Looking over the picture, Andrinn laid his head on the table and whispered to himself, "I wish that you guys were here. All of you guys. All of you knew just what to say and when to say it. We'd be looking over some sharp suits to wear for the wedding...at least for you guys. I'd be wearing whatever Sam and I decided to wear for our wedding. Nothing Betazoid though. I don't feel like going that full frontal with the crew. I'm sure that you guys would understand. I just miss you guys."

Bringing his head back up and wiping away a tear that had formed near his right eye, Andrinn couldn't help but think how crazy he must've sounded if anyone had heard him. He wanted to be strong, but knew that he had to know his own vulnerabilities to make sure that he could make it through the next few days, weeks, and months of the unknown. He had to make sure that he could make it through for Sam.
