What Now?

Gary sat in his quarters. He had made himself scarce after they had left the planet populated by
their twins. He was glad to see ships from the twins Federation approaching the planet to offer help.
More so he hoped his twin and Liselle's could find happiness and peace by being together at last.

As for himself, it felt as if his life had become much more complicated. He didn't know how he
was going to face Lia or Liselle after this. What he thought was a loving relationship with Lia, now
felt like he had cheated on her and that filled him with tremendous guilt. Then there was Liselle, he
or his twin had entered into a relationship with her and he had no doubt it was intimate. How was
he suppose to act around her?

He sighed and hung his head, he felt like a fraud even though he himself hadn't done anything to
feel guilty over or about it was the knowledge his other self had and there was no getting around
that. He sat thinking in the silence, maybe a transfer was what was needed. It would kill him to
leave Lia and not see Liselle but it would remove any lingering awkwardness between the three
of them.

He wished they had never found that damn planet! His life wouldn't have been turned upside down
and inside out. he had always prided himself on having answers of being in control of a situation but
right now he felt anything but in control and he didn't like it. His thoughts were jumbled and disjointed.

He stood up and went into the kitchen and got himself a drink as he stood there lost in his thoughts he
spoke aloud, "Computer play Photograph by Ringo Starr." As the strands of the song started, he finished
his drink and leaned against the counter. Right now at this very minute it felt that all he had left was
memories of a happier time, one that seemed to have left him behind.
