After Liam had finished up down in Marine Country, he made his way home. He was still feeling disturbed by the fact that there seemed to be zero information about any Chief Pilot, other than Lieutenant JG McKull. He wasn't sure how to reconcile the issue, so, he decided to leave it be for now, and focus on what was important to him....

His family.

Once he made his way home, he walked in through the doors. "I'm home!" He calked out as he removed his uniform blouse, revealing his olive drab SFMC tank top underneath. Seraph was the first to greet him, padding over and gently rubbing her face and sides up against his ankles. "Well, hello, Miss Kitty." He bent down and scooped her up into his arms. "Where's everyone else? Hmm?"

Sam came out of Skylah's room a bag in hand. "Hey" She said brightly. She placed the bag, it held clothes, on the table. "Clothes to be recycled."

Liam smiled warmly, upon seeing his beautiful wife. "Looks like you've been busy, sweetheart," he said as he moved closer, reaching our and pulling her into an embrace. "You still have the nice little green number I like, yeah?" He whispered into her ear, as he tried to get the days events out of his head.

She laughed softly. "I do but these are Sky's. She is growing up."

He groaned playfully at that statement. "Does she have to?! Why don't we have Sthilg put her in cryo? We could thaw her on the weekends, keep her as our little girl forever?"

Samaire shook her head. "Just wait until she is a teenager. You won't be joking then."

Liam made a face of regret. "Oh no...I didn't even think about that. She's gonna get moody...sullen...start hanging out with other misfits...then...then, she's gonna start dating!" He looked around the room, as if trying to find an escape. "I made a mistake! How do I get out of here!!" The smirk on his face was difficult to hide as he made his show.

"Clown," His wife said with a smile. She looked at the clothes and began to fold them. "And if you cannot handle teenage girls, how will you handle their boyfriends?"

He gave her an evil grin as he replied. "Oh, I'll deal with them just fine. They will learn that our little girl is protected by not only a Marine, but one who knows how to make things go boom!"

"And the girlfriends?" Asked Samaire as she finished folding a shirt.

Liam considered that option. "I'll leave them to you, sweetheart. " He gave her a playful wink, and stuck out the tip of his tongue.

Sam rolled her eyes. "Yup, I married a clown. I bet Nicholas would not let Cassia deal with it." she teased.

Liam chuckled. "Nico would be worse than me! Think about it. He's a highly trained infiltration spook. Any one hurts their baby, he'd slip into their rooms, slit their throats, and slip back out, without anyone ever knowing he was there."

"Hmmm" she flashed him a smirk "And Kyle?"

"Now Kyle," he said with a playful grin. "He may act all big and tough when he's in uniform. However, inside, he's just a big softy. That little girl of his is gonna walk up one side of him and down the other. That is, until she goes too far, then he will lay the law down hard. Mark my words."

His wife smiled and finished her task. "Did you want dinner?"

He grinned and nodded. "Yeah, I'm pretty hungry actually. Do you have any cravings?" He helped her put the various pieces of laundry away, throughout their home, as he listened for her reply.

Samaire shook her head. "No. I did set the replicator for dinner, you will just need to hit start."

Liam nodded again. Looking around, he noticed he couldn't find Skylah. "And will Little Miss be joining us? Or is she with friends tonight?"

"It's the School Movie night," Samaire replied. "They are having a movie and sleep over at school."

Liam grinned softly as he nodded. "So...a nice quiet night for just us. That sounds perfect, sweetheart." He leaned in and gently kissed her lips, before continuing. "What would you like to do?"

"Let's eat dinner and then spend some time on the couch?" Samaire suggested.

Liam smiled and nodded. "That sounds like an excellent idea, Sam." He then stepped behind her, and snaked his arms around to her waist, just below her belly button. He gently nuzzled the right side of her neck, as he asked, "I am so glad to be here, with you as my wife, and Sky in our lives."

"Hmmm." Sam leaned back against him. "Same goes. We should get food though."

Nodding in reluctant agreement, Liam finally released his hold on his wife. "You get the food, I'll get the wine." He started toward the small mini bar that they had in their quarters. "Which one would you like?:

"Rosé is fine" She called out as she headed into the kitchenette. She paused. "Oh Liam? Make it non-alcoholic."

Liam nodded at first, then looked back when Samaire called him by name. After she made her request, he grinned and nodded. "Of course, sweetheart." He then opened the bar cabinet and pulled out the bottle in question, along with two glasses. After closing the cabinet, he carried all three items to the dining table and placed them on the surface. He then grabbed the necessary dishes and flatware and set the table for two. When he was finished, he requested the computer to play some soft romantic instrumental music. Once that was going, he looked over at Samaire and asked, "Need any help?"

Samaire shook her head and handed him his plate. "No. Here," she said with a smile. "Let's eat."

Liam took his plate, and they moved to the table to eat. He first pulled Samaire's chair out for her, then gently nudged her back in after she sat. He then lowered himself into his seat, which was diagonal to her. They then ate and chatted about their day, enjoying the quite time they were able to have.

After they had eaten, Sam cleaned up their plates and set the dining area to rights. She was quite content as she did so. She made sure the cat feeder was full as well.

Liam poured them two more glasses of wine, then moved to the couch, sitting down in his usual spot, as he waited for Samaire to join him.

Sam joined him a short time later, curling into his side as she did so. "Hmm..." she mumered as she did so. "So nice."

They sat there, in comfortable silence, for a while. Then, Liam asked softly, "I know we said we'd wait until we got home to start trying to have children of our own, but.... can we talk about it again? I've been feeling the pull to become a father more and more lately."

She looked up at him. "Is it because both of your brothers are surrounded by children?"

Liam looked at his wife, his brows furrowed slightly. "It might be part of it. I mean, I'm happy for Kyle that he has the kids...and overjoyed that Nick and Cass have their baby back again..." he grew quiet, as he looked away, suddenly feeling ashamed to not be content with the family he currently had. "You know how much I love Sky! I'd give my life for her, just to keep her safe!" He paused slightly. "I just....I really would love for us to have a baby of our own, someone to grow up with Sky and her cousins."

Samaire nodded. "I know. Well let's just see what happens? Things happen when you do not try."

Liam grinned and nodded, reaching out to gently touch Samaire's face. "How did I get so lucky, as to find a woman like you, sweetheart?" His eyes and features were full of both love and adoration for her as he spoke.

She shrugged. "Don't know but hey, enjoy it right?"

He moved his hand to gently cup her chin, turning her face fully towards his. In a voice that was both low in volume, but full of clear desire, he replied. "Oh, I fully intend to enjoy every second with you that I can get." He then leaned in and kissed her deeply.

Samaire kissed him back and slid into his lap. She curled against him as they enjoyed their quiet evening.
