Phoenix summoned the officers she had been meaning to speak with for the past few days. And she thanked the stars they were all ship side, at least for a few hours.

[[Commander Taylor, Commander Brett and Lieutenant Norris to the captain's ready Room.]]

Gary heard Phoenix's summons to report to her Ready Room. He had been keeping to himself, staying in his cabin except when he was required to be on the bridge. Then once his shift was over it was back to his cabin. He tapped his combadge. [[ Taylor, I'm on my way.]]

Anje had been on the bridge going over some things with Justin, the battle had left the Elysium in one Hell of a mess, but, when the Captain calls...

Walking in through the door to the ready room, she smiled to Phoenix. Looking over her shoulders to make sure there was nobody looking she walked over and embraced the Captain quickly, "Sorry to break protocol, just overwhelmed with joy at your survival." She smiled apologetically.

Phoenix gave a small smile. "Thanks Commander," She returned the hug

The doors hissed open and Gary entered. He saw Anje there along with Phoenix. "Captain." He greeted before addressing Anje. "Hello Anje. So what's new with you?" He teased.

"Oh, you know, fighting the Romulans, almost getting my ass shot off, that old chestnut." She joked, then embraced Taylor, "And welcoming back people I was scared to death I'd lost." ~If I didn't bring this one back Auntie would've killed me...~

Gary returned the embrace. he liked the younger officer. "You did a hell of a job getting us back and keeping the ship together from the reports I've read." He countered.

"See, everything I've read and heard from Justin is that Gallia really saved the day up here." Anje said, "But, truth was everybody showed up and did their job, got the result we wanted even if the bad guy got away, the way it's supposed to go." She did wonder what was with the recent trend of the bad guys getting away though, seemed to her like more potential enemies to fly back at their throats later.

"I'm not making light of what Gallia did, not in the least. She did an amazing job in Engineering. Truly amazing. As for the bad guy. Don't worry. We'll get them and settle this once and for all." He replied with certainty.

"Everybody did an awesome job." Anje nodded, she had considered going into a tirade about that idiot Holt, but had decided to save it after he aunt had offered to handle that problem for her, ~I've got no idea how, but it'll be interesting, that's for sure.~

"Ya needed ta see me, Captain?" Gallia asked as she came through the door, not precisely looking like a recruiting poster as she'd been knee deep in repairs.

Phoenix nodded and waved her in. "Yes Gallia, please come in." She stood slowly. Her body still ached in places. "Commander Brett, I have here, a recommendation based on the past few weeks." She paused. "It is a recommendation that Lieutenant Norris be transferred to Operations and you, be granted the Diplomatic Officer position on Elysium."

~Diplomatic officer?~ Anje thought, ~I smell you, Auntie...~ "I'm willing to go anywhere Elysium needs me, Captain. I also think Lieutenant Norris deserves to be a Department Head, she's a real talent."

"Well, thank ye much, Commander." Gallia nodded, "An' I'm a team player meself, cannae turn down such a request. Though I do have questions about what's gonna happen to ma team. Please, Captain, dinnae put them par people under that jackass Holt..."

Anje giggled a little, the freakishly tall Scot's loyalty to her people was entertaining and endearing, "I'm sure an arrangement can be made for them, Gallia." She said, silently agreeing with the redhead's assessment of William Holt, "And, to make things easier for Gallia, I would like to recommend Ensign Case for promotion to Lieutenant JG as her Assistant Chief. I know they'll work well together." ~I'm gonna miss him.~

Phoenix nodded. "That makes a lot of sense." She pulled open a drawer in the desk. And a small box came out. "And this whole thing makes this easier as well. Lieutenant JG Norris, you are hereby promoted to Full Lieutenant. And transferred to Operations as Chief of Operations." Phoenix held out the box to Gallia and Anje. "Commander Brett, can you do the honors please"

"Congratulations Gallia on the change of departments as well as the promotion. You earned it." Gary replied warmly.

"That's all true." Anje agreed quickly as she pinned the new pip onto Gallia's collar, "At this right, you'll be all our boss' soon."

"Thank ye." Gallia nodded, humbled by the experience, "An' if I do become yer boss one day, ye can have yer shift a choice."

"Avalon," Phoenix said, and the AI appeared.

"Captain."

"Please record the following. "Lt. Commander Brett is here by confirmed as the head of the Diplomatic team effective immediately. And Lieutenant Norris is hereby confirmed as Chief of Operations, with Ensign Justin Case confirmed as her assistant chief with the promotion to Lt JG."

"Acknowledged Captain."

Gallia nodded to Avalon and smiled, happy to know that her new assignment was already tuned up and ready to run, even if she was still worried about the READ team.

Phoenix turned to the two of them. "Thank you for your time. Go and enjoy shore leave. Dismissed"
