Mission: Casperia Prime - A lesson in relaxation
Location: Sickbay
Timeline: Current

Gary was just making his rounds of the ship and his next stop was Sickbay. Entering he wasn't surprised to find it basically empty. basically because at one biobed he saw Tallia and Fernando hovering over and around a patient whose face he couldn't make out. Time to investigate.

"Ahem." He said clearing his throat. "Are we having a convention?" He inquired pleasantly.

Fernando spun around at Gary's voice. "Ah Commander Taylor. Oh no sir, nothing like that not really. We um just um have a visitor."

"A visitor? In Sickbay? Not likely. What's going on Fernando?"

"No, really. See. "He stepped aside so Gary could see Heather and Tallia standing over her.

"Well, my apologies Fernando, Who do we have here?"

Heather was lying propped up on her biobed, she was feeling better than she had to date thanks to Tallia's efforts in looking after her. "Sergeant Heather Raines, Nurse and Marine Medic of the USS Wildcat Commander." She offered a smile.

"A pleasure Sergeant." Gary replied then stopped and looked at Tallia, Fernando and finally his gaze found Heather again. "Did you say the Wildcat, Sergeant?"

"Yes, I did Sir" Heather looked at Fernando then back at Taylor. "My ship is missing Commander. I have no idea what happened to the ship, last time I saw the crew, we were taken by slavers. Fernando saved me from the man who bought me, I owe him my life."

Gary's face took on a serious cast and is voice grew hard. "The Wildcat was a Nova class ship it was reported lost in 2393, this sector. A Starfleet crew of eighty as well as a small Marine contingent." He explained further. "No wreckage was found along with no member of the crew ever being found until you Sergeant."

"That's correct Sir" Heather nodded. "I was part of the Marine contingent but I had duties as ship's nurse as well."

"Understood Sergeant. Did you say slavers attacked and took your crew?" Gary needed details or as much as Heather could remember and supply.

Heather nodded. "I don't know all the details Sir. I was working in Sickbay when we were attacked, we came under heavy attack!" She shook her head. "There were so many casualties and they still kept coming!!"

"Easy Sergeant. it's alright. Your safe now." Gary replied, he could see Heather becoming agitated by simply remembering what happened to her ship and crew.

"I know Sir, it's just...I don't know whether any of my crewmates are still captives of the slavers who took me and I can't...remember where I was held!" Heather looked at Fernando and Tallia then back at Gary. "I could be their only chance of rescue!!"

"Sergeant Raines, Relax. I know your upset about your crew. We'll find them. We found you." Gary told her and looked at Fernando and Tallia. "The Captain needs to know this." He tapped his combadge, "Taylor to Lalor. Captain please come to Sickbay."

[["On my Way"]] Came the calm reply.

Heather wasn't feeling the best, she was rapidly starting to feel pretty off thanks to the emotional exertion. She wanted to help find her crew but she wasn't sure how or where to start.

"When the Captain gets here, I want you to tell her everything you can remember Sergeant. Every detail will help." Yet even as he spoke Gary was thinking, Crew members were already on the planet's surface. Were they in danger as well?

Heather nodded as she rested back on the biobed. "I'll do my best Commander."

"I know you will. Not a doubt in my mind." Gary said wanting to reassure Heather that everything would indeed be alright.

The doors to medical opened and the tall slim form of the Captain entered. She looked around and then spotting the group moved over to them. "Commander Taylor?" she queried.

Gary turned at the sound of the Captain's voice. "Captain, thank you for coming so quickly." He gestured to the biobed where Heather lay flanked by Tallia and Fernando standing to either side. "May I present Sergeant Heather Raines of the USS Wildcat. Sergeant Raines was rescued from some slavers on the planet's surface by Chief De La Rosa."

"Actually, Captain" Heather looked at Lalor. "Fernando rescued me from my master. I was brought from some slavers off world, but from what I remember..." She frowned as she tried to recall. "There was...mention of slavers here on this world. I...don't know where though. Unless it's buried somewhere in my memories."

"Master!" Fernando said disgustedly. "He was a dealer in human beings. A low life."

Phoenix nodded as she listened. "Sergeant, do not push yourself. We have become aware of such people, through the loss of our own. We have teams planetside right now looking for those responsible. And once we have them, we can follow their trail back to their bosses."

Heather was starting to feel pretty off, her headache was getting worse. "If I...can do anything to help...stop these people Captain. I...I'll do it."

Phoenix smiled. "What you can do, is rest, recover. Chief" Phoenix turned to De La Rosa. "I trust you can make sure the Sergeant takes the time to recover?"

"Certainly ma'am! er sir I mean Captain. you can count on me." Fernando replied earnestly.

Heather offered Fernando a brief smile before the biobed alarms suddenly started to alarm. It wasn't long before Heather went into her second seizure since her arrival in Sickbay.

Tallia had stepped aside to get some tea while the Captain and XO talked to her patient, seemed harmless enough, but now her patient was seizing again. She bolted to the biobed, alphawave inducer in hand, pushing past the CO and placing the device on Heather's forehead, "Okay, back to sleep, you." She sighed, taking readings with her tricorder, "They pumped her full of Tromasilix, it's an offshoot of Ketracel White. Sons of bitches." She turned back to the Captain, "Sorry, Captain, meant no disrespect but I had to get to my patient. My nurse/sniper over here and I have put a lot of work into keeping this one alive."

"Quite alright Doctor" Phoenix replied and she stepped clear of the bio bed. "Do you have that stuff in portable form? We may need it if we find more like her"

"We can actually replicate the inducers." Tallia replied, "But there's no countermeasure for Tromasilix, we have to let her system purge it on it's own. Then there's the withdrawal symptoms, that's going to be very tough on her, Captain. We're probably not going to get much out of her for a few weeks."

"I trust you to make it as comfortable as you can Doctor. And when you think she is ready, I will make sure she has a cabin ready for her." Phoenix said. "Commander Taylor, work with the doctor to get those inducers and work with Security and the Marines as well as Intelligence to make sure all our away teams have them."

Gary nodded, "I'll coordinate with those departments as well as Tallia to have the inducers ready and our teams equipped with them."
