Making it Official

With having returned from honeymoon Heather had been hoping to hear from Starfleet as to whether or not her commission had been moved to the Elysium. So far all was silent and she was starting to worry that she wouldn’t be granted her request. Making her way to the ready room she pressed the chime and waited for an answer.

The door slid open and a voice called out "Come in"

Walking into the office Heather offered a smile. “Captain, May I ask...have you heard anything from Starfleet regarding my request to stay here aboard the Elysium?”

Phoenix looked at the woman and frowned. "I could have sworn I had that forwarded to you Sergeant. Please have a seat." Phoenix waved Heather to a chair. And then began sorting through PADDS.

“Maybe you did Captain, perhaps I just missed it.” Heather gave Lalor an apologetic look. “I’m just worried that I’ll be recalled away from Fernando.”

"A resonable fear" Phoenix said absently and then "Ah ha! Here it is." She held it out. " Your assignment to the Elysium is offical." The captain smiled.

“Really?!” Heather took the PADD and looked at the official reply. She’d been granted her requested positions of Head Nurse and Marine Medic. She smiled happily, “This is such a relief! I was dreading facing a recall away from my husband but now I can settle without that worry.”

Phoenix had to smile at that. "It will be forwarded to the CMO and MARDETCOM so they will be aware okay?"

“That’s wonderful, thank you Captain.” Heather smiled warmly. “Tallia and I became good friends while she was helping me over my addiction, I’m looking forward to working with her.”

"Yes I have heard good things about Lieutenant Strode. And I am sure Commander Sthilg is grateful for any additional hands"

“I’m looking forward to working with the Commander as well I’ll make a point of reporting to him as soon as possible.” Heather smiled warmly.

"I am sure you will do so Sergeant. I am also sure that you will enjoy your time on the Elysium." Phoenix smiled back. "And with that in mind, If you go now, you will catch the Commander before he heads off shift. Waking a Gorn is not recommended."

“Of course Captain.” Heather smiled as she turned to leave. “Thank you for putting my mind at rest.”

"You are welcome Sergeant. Enjoy the rest of your day."

“You too Captain” Heather smiled as she looked back before heading on her way.
