Avalon appeared by Phoenix's desk. Phoenix looked up from the reports she had been going through. "Yes Avalon?"

"Captain, we are clear of Cardassian Space. Our escorts have simply turned back and gone to warp, without communication."

"Typical" Phoenix mused softly. "And our course?

"Ensign Derani has us on course for the Void. Estimated time of arrival 14 hours at Warp 6." the AI replied.

"Very good. How is moral Avalon?"

"Mixed." The AI reported. "Some crew are fine with the mission, others are concerned. Counseling is getting a lot more appointments."

"I am sure Lieutenant Kelea is happy about that."

"Kelea-Salik Captain." The AI reminded her.

"Ah yes, I saw that notification across my desk. Good to see I was not called on for that ceremony. I am not the best at them."

"The last wedding you officiated at, seemed to go well."

Phoenix rolled her eyes. "Yeah and now I have 2 more to do over the next few months. Maybe, we should advertise the fact that we have a Chaplin now? See if that gets the monkey off my back."

"I can put that in all the end of day communications to the general crew for you."

"Do so." Phoenix said with a smile. "Lets give the poor man some business."

Avalon nodded and made the alterations.

"Any other concerns you have heard of that I should be aware of Avalon?"

The AI considered things. "No. It seems to be all going well on the ship."

"Good. I will be on deck at 05h30 to prepare for the Void. If you can make sure all senior bridge staff are aware and make sure they are aware I want them there. Ensign Derani as well please."

"Of Course Captain. I shall send the necessary coms now."

"Thank you Avalon"
